Thanks, Jon. Your description of the risks involved in "buying" land way back then only to find the rules have changed or disappeared, reminds me today of "buying" software from MS. We haven't owned it for a long time, it's really a lease, and MS changes how it works on a whim. Thanks for reminding us that this is not new!
Thank you, Jon, for all you share with us. It's so interesting to hear about, and thankfully people like Mr. Cresswell took the time to write it down so that we have a real glimpse of how it was. It would be cool if you could have a series of videos based on his journal.
I believe you made a video a couple of years ago about how important clothes were, but also how expensive and scarce they were! I love clothes, and I sew a little, so that fascinates me. Nowadays, our closets are bursting with clothes, many items we only wear occasionally. We are stupid lucky these days.
Thank you so much for making us feel like we're living this adventure in real time. Thank you for making us feel free from the void that is our daily living. Even if just for a few minutes.
I loved reading the Nicholas Cresswell journal. Listening to your readings adds another dimension. Thank you so much.

"Rascals of all denominations" made me laugh.😂
Thx for sharing. 👍👍👍👍👍
Thank you for these videos. I almost like these more than your regular channel. Thank you for taking us through the journals and the commentary.

Great job, great story telling. Even though you are telling someone else’s story, you are adding great additional insight.
I love that journal
Rest assured, you are not talking into the void.
Please read to us George Catlin Vol I & II !!!!
Sounds like buying land in Ghana. The same thing happens there today. You never know who really owns the land.
👍👍
Any plans on making salt?
