Thank you. Jon, for taking us along with you on this journey. We can't even imagine what our ancestors went through on a daily basis let alone the adventurers.

great video Jon, Thank you for sharing and getting a little more into it. It's funny to me now to realize the the time period called "The wild west" was actually pretty tame by that time. This time period was much wilder and harder to live and succeed in.

I love hearing stories about thr ohio river, I've lived next to it all my life and fish wheeling creek all the time. My imagination often wanders in this area.

I took a canoe down a river once for a day trip, water was low and it formed rapids due to it. Flipped the thing on some rocks. Lost everything but luckily had some friends downstream to get the floating stuff. Gotta love Kentucky and Indiana. Only thing besides almost drowning was my first case of sun poisoning.

I can’t imagine what he’s doing. Going to a different world(basically) and going into these back country situations. Very interesting

Jon, you used to wear a *green* jacket with a ripped collar like that- are those for hunting?

I told my husband the story of the beautiful, half-naked women showing up to church, and he said, "Do you think that pastor was getting pranked?"
