While I am NOT on Townsends Plus, (financially unable), I Love these readings about The Bark Covered House. This Chapter was informative ( as always) and very entertaining, especially the parts about the deer chasing his comrades. Love the way Mr Jon reads! This was greatly appreciated at this time as I live in Tampa Bay and we were very fortunate to barely miss Hurricane Idalia. Have a great day, Jon and thank you for sharing!

As one who is old enough to remember huddled 'round, listening to Saturday morning serialised radio 📟 programs with my later father! I very much appreciate this story as you so passionately are reading it, harking back to those days well over 1/2 century now of joyful, aural pleasure! Thank you!

Sitting in the very mouth of the fireplace, your breath steaming... tells me all I need to know about 1700's fireplaces! Hope you do a fireplace video soon... no music, just an hour or two of watching a well-fed fire grow and die... something to go to sleep to; I miss our fireplace!

Is there anything so wonderful as getting out from under the burden of debt? Especially as the result of such hard work and ingenuity. Plus, he got to go "mano a mano" with a murderous deer.

The chase was hilarious. The actual attack would be frightening. Deer can kill, to be sure.
      Espunging debt is wonderful.

Love this book and the historical Dearborn references! As a south east Michigander it's great hearing about the yesteryears and names which are now the names of roads, towns and waterways we take for granted. Thx Jon!

Your videos for chapter 21 and 22 are flipped. What's labeled 21 is actually 22 and vice versa
