I’m fortunate that my dryer and vent are on an outside wall. I only have about a 4 inch exhaust hose. But, I inspect it regularly.

Every year or two, you need to do this INSIDE your dryer. That's where the fires start...

I hope you left at least some of that lint on the ground for the birds to use for nest building. (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle :) )

Everyone needs to do this. It's a huge cause of home fires.

I had to have my entire dryer vent replaced shortly after I bought my home. People ….you need money after you buy a home. Home inspectors aren’t really licensed, get a licensed plumber, electrician, hvac, engineer to inspect

I have never lived anywhere where there was a run of venting in the wall. I change the entire vent hose every few years, because its cheaper than buying a brush and we have cats and dogs, and even cleaning the lint trap every time stuff builds up. But wow! That was a lot of lint!

There was an entire colony of bird nests in that vent! Great job cleaning up!

Try adding a fishnet bag over the outlet to catch all the crap that comes out of the tubes. Will save you some clean up.

I enjoy your videos, and I also appreciate them, because I ended up going and buying the tools and cleaning out my own dryer vent. It was TERRIBLE, and my clothes dry SO much faster now.
