I've got a fairly new HW90 that has had about 1500 pellets shot through which of course, that many lockup cycles. When should I replace the seal? I chronograph it from time to time as a check. So far, no loss of speed.
@@paultowns9880 took the words out of my mouth. I need to get a few things 1st and will be a while before I get round to looking inside and giving it an overhaul.
Makes me think ,would it be better just to keep the barrel tapped open while not in use ? Was thinking of doing this to my 97k so the piston block is not compressed against the seal while not in use?
Nice demonstration.😃👍
Thanks
Kinda looked like a washer was stuck to the original seal. Some Dianas have a washer under them as a spacer.
Nah was pressed flat and out of shape

I'm going to get an o ring set and a new piston seal I think as a matter of course. A bit of love and some lube wouldn't go a miss
@rshettle 123 Good question. Just googled this and its apparently 2500 to 3000 shots.
@@keith6930 A video of the strip and rebuild would be great.

@@paultowns9880 that's quite a few pellets and range trips for sure.

It's only under the small amount of preload of the main spring, should be ok
Was there an increase in power mate?
I'll have to retest as battery in chrono died when at the range
