Where can I get the mopping plates for the X1 Omni, do you have the part number for the mopping plates?

wow what an easy fix. I cant believe Ecovacs didnt test this design more before going ahead with the double door design. This was my first Self Empty bot and I was extremely disappointed with the auto empty. I ended up purchasing a Eufy L60 SES which self empties fantastically. I will try this out on my Deebot because otherwise I love how well it cleans the carpets.

I used to think that iRobot was as good as it got, particularly because of the prices(high price, high quality, right?) then I got a Roborock and now I am in cleaning robot haven. Does everything so well, has all the features than iRobot has and many more. Eventually I will sell my S9+ and mopping roomba, and just fully change to Roborock. The mapping feature in roomba suck, and I have had many arguments with the “smart” mop. So at least in 2024, we have many more options. Explore others!

We have an i7. We just moved from a 900 sq ft apartment into a 1900 sq ft house over the course of 2 months, and the roomba was unplugged and idle for most of that time. Getting a map of the new place built has been *extremely* frustrating, to the point of despair. This video was *very* helpful, and probably saved our marriage (or at least kept me off the couch.) The one regret I have is, our new place sat empty for 3 weeks once we took posession; I wish I could have moved the roomba then and built a map before our furniture was placed. (I actually wanted to do that, but we had delays getting the Internet connected.) The footsie tip is a good one. If I could make one feature request of iRobot, it would be this: Let me draw the outline of the map, or manually edit maps to fix missed areas.

I've had my i8 for about 2 years. It mapped my home easily but, as months went on, and it made corrections, the map actually got worse. It has created several gaps/openings in walls of adjacent rooms, that do not exist. So, when I send it to clean certain rooms, it tries to get there through some non-existent wall openings. A work around is to create an intermediate cleaning area as part of a larger job. When it gets to the intermediate area, you can tell it to skip that one, and it will continue to the next one. It has no trouble returning home. The i8 has many many other quirks and maintenance demands. It even has unspecified errors. Anyway, it does do a very good job of cleaning but it also needs to be kept clean, often. So far, it has cleaned over 450,000 square feet. I've had to take it apart 3 times, for cleaning. Many people would have likely trashed it by now, I just keep buying parts.

Mine is brand new, and it worked fine until I turned the power off and back on, and now it is able to connect to my phone, as I can see it is connected, but then the app itself fails and says it cannot connect. So obviously after three years these guys haven't upped their game so I am sending mine back.

While mapping, does it still have carpet detaction and avoid thresholds or will it be disabled until it creates a map and then waits for me to create thresholds?

Hello, my case is that my PCB is damaged since it only goes backwards and does nothing else, do you know where I can get a PCB for the Braaba Jet M6 please since they want to charge me 200 dollars for that.

hoping the refurbished unit I just ordered works well. Its so hard to find any other robots on the market at a decent price that actually scrub the floor instead of just drag a wet rag behind them and call it "mopping" and iLife seems to have discontinued the Shinebot line all together from what I can tell...

Makes no sense that Roomba engineers did not use polygons - modern OO-code makes this elementary. It’s easier to conclude they intentionally omitted this routine, basic feature.

Hi! I know this is an old video but my boyfriend is buying a robot vacuum secondhand and is between this and the Roborock S5 Max. Which one would you recommend? Fully hard floors no carpet so mopping matters

This is perfect!!! Before watching this video I tried everything from degreasing the platform and the wheels to even using sand paper on the wheels. I did notice that the ridges on the plastic pad had worn out and I was going to use sanding paper with double sided tape. But this solution hits it out of the park. Thank you!!!

No, this doesn’t work for all of this. I’ve stippled both of my machines and they still don’t work. I’ve changed the wheels, I ruffed up the wheels EC nothing works. I always have to help them undock

I advise You to try to reset to factory settings. Push and hold Home button and with pushed Home button, push Reset button using some kind of pin. It helped me.

my s8..been trying for 2 weeks no..its a nighmare..have changet to 2.4 ghtz..rebooted the robot..i mean why sell a product that you have to be pc expert for getting to work..anyway im from norway if that have any thing to say..

Absolute junk, sold mine after 6 months and got ecovacs.

Sold mine, both j7 and braava combo after 6 months. Useless.

Some manufacturers introduced 1 blowing and 1 sucking port, instead 2 sucking ones. Everyone is still learning obviously.

my roborocks all have problem with the lidar tower after a few month, stopping spinning, getting stuck.

My roomba map my apartment exactly like it is, but when I use room select and send it to my kitchen it can never find it, it will move around, say error and return home.

Tried it last night for the first time. I'm impressed! Did "deep scrubbing" with water settings to "high" (not max). It wiped everything!
