I've been wanting to make this industrial looking coffee table for a while. I've had the round wooden plate for all the time I've lived in my house, just had to figure out the design. Great video. Just built mine and it's great. For additional tips, Rep Fitness sells the pads + foot rollers in the U.S. I used a piece of paper to mark where the holes on the pads were, then transferred that to the wood and it worked perfectly.

Nice. A pipe flange attaches easily and your pipe can screw into the flange. It keeps your holes from wallowing out.they

Very cool. I've got molds on the way to make some. Wondering about an idea of drilling holes through the mold , which ever way, criss cross or whatever, then small rebar through the mold for added durability. I've done a similar technique with other home made weights about a decade ago and I still have and use these weights to this day. Dropping them on gravel constantly they've only started to deteriorate a bit in the last couple years finally.

Hej Martin. Du har inspireret mig til at lave noget lignende til hver side af vores hjemmelavede ribbe. Vikke have investeret i en funktionel træner. Men de fylder for meget.

Absolutely fantastic build. I have been building my own gym equipment for 40 yrs including benches, hack machine, lat pully machine, preacher bench, and wrist roller machine.Wood can be as good as steel. As long as you use the proper engineering designs, mostly using triangles as the basic frame, and fasteners.Thru bolts with nuts,as opposed to lag bolts. Etc...

I usually laugh at these diy creations, though one can tell this man put some thought into his creation. You have a functional lever arm that has little change in the Arc as you press. This means you used a long enough arm for a proper press. Good job, God Speed.

If u make it double layers of the center boards and have it split apart rather then just one. It would make the pipes more steady. Just a suggestion. Anyways thanks for great idea. Plan on making me one. But instead of weights. Gonna make a box and divide the inside by three. And fill each with sand bags. And can use box as a bench if not being used.

Just built mine to the same height. Should've made it about a foot shorter with the high column about 20" instead of 32 would be a little safer if something happens. In the US rep fitness sells the same pad but with foot rollers for $55 I used 18" 3/4 pipe with caps on each end and 3" spacing between bottom of top pad and top of bottom pad. Added some 45 braces to the columns instead of the osb. Thanks and keep it up! Used 5.5" 1/2 bolts for foot hold and m8x55 for seat bolts

I use towels for my safety pin pipes but i also never touch them. Pool noodles are usually equivalent to pipe insulation but cushier and cheaper. Also use 3/4" black steel pipe

I have a squat rack but i can't squat because my back is shagged. I need either a leg press or a hack squat for the support and safety.
