Protip for relesasing the bubble so you have a solid mix inside the mold - Use an electric sander without sand paper to vibrate the sides of the mold. I would still give it a few hammer knocks too, but the vibration pretty much does the job really well.
What I did some time ago was make a plaster around a basketball, wait till it hardens, then deflate the basketball inside and remove it from the mold. Then use the plaster-mold to pour in your concrete. Weighs around 16kg. Did the same with a beachball afterwards and that one weighs 76kg. You can always make it heavier by adding some junk iron in there too of course. Only downside is that you can never re-use the mold and you have to destroy the object you used to make the mold in my case the basketball and the beachball. But you get them back in concrete, which is ten times more epic.
Great idea, thanks. As for one side being shiny and one not, it’s fairly simple with anything that is cast: shiny surface mold creates shiny product, flat surface creates a flat surface. But you’ve given me some ideas and I so appreciate it.
I just made a mould with 14" ikea bowls so should be good for a 52kg stone. Did you have success with this technique once you lubed to bowl? If so, did you use silicone spray or grease?

@@cullenalfonso609I used that for the basketball, but not for the beachball since that would've been way more expensive.
10/10 would buy a T shirt with your logo on it!
