Retribution - great casting,underused but is overall a good portrayal of Leon Infinite Darkness - a decent look at what Leon does when he's not put in a warzone or sent to far off countries to extract VIP targets (It's a shame that the events in IW irrepairably damage his friendship with Claire) Death Island - he doesn't really do much outside of the opening scene,his quick fight with Jill and his short lived fight against Maria, I'd put DI behind ID RE6 - super serious action hero Leon, Degeneration - vanilla Leon, he doesn't portray any of the emotional pain he feels in later games and movies despite it taking place a year after RE4 RE2 - PS1 Protagonist syndrome. RE4R - brooding with a bit of humour Vendetta - drunk,depressed Leon is the most relatable version of him, he wakes up everyday to ask himself why it has to be him who is thrown into hellish situations with B.O.W's all while greedy corporations get away with such travesties (my favourite version of him, I think i've watched Vendetta like 50 times in the past 4 years) RE2R - Rookie for a day, RE4 - Quips,jokes,ganados
@NerdSpaceGames Disagree with you on 2R's Leon being higher on the list than his original version. They overdid with his naivety to the point that it crossed the line to straight up stupidity, and that was also reflected by some of the things he says throughout the game. OG2 Leon was naïve, absolutely, but he was also aware that there was nothing he could do to save Raccoon City and that he simply had to escape while taking with him as many people as he could. 2R Leon instead: - thinks he could still save the city; - believes Ada's cover up story (while she's even more suspicious-looking than the OG thanks to this detail) without even showing a slight shadow of a doubt, but then he suddenly switches at the end and doesn't trust her anymore; - tries to arrest Ada while the whole place around is crumbling and about to explode (and they're also on a very precarious walkway); - he's manipulated so damn easily and in such an obvious way by Ada with just a kiss and a hand on his leg, but ofc he completely falls for it; - refuses to save Ben because he still thinks, even when there's a zombie apocalypse going on, that there's some chain of command he must follow and that he must follow the rulebook of the perfect cop, so whoever is on the other side of the bars is undeniably guilty and shouldn't be trusted in the slightest; - jokes over Ben's death, a civilian who, despite being locked in a cell, was innocent and that he should have protected Since the people behind Welcome to Raccoon City took inspiration from this version of 1998 Leon, it becomes more apparent why they made him a braindead dweeb in the movie xD
Leon S Kennedy will be my favorite RE Protagonist his stories are always well written, I really love his cheesy dad one liners, whenever you have Mr. Kennedy in the game it's tend to always sell commercially well even if Resident Evil 6 and dome of the animated movies are god awful. But we ain't talking about Avan Leon the utter disrespect for the character and the actor himself because I honestly think Avan Jogia is a alright actor not one of my favorite actors. Plus he is clear definition of a pure Chad and a Ladies Man with always having the baddest looking women whenever Leon is featured in a game.
While I like the movies quite a bit, I prefer every instance of Leon portraited in the games better. From all the games my 2 favourite versions are Re2R and Re4R, in that order. I like his more serious side in 4R and all the rookieness in 2R. RE4 is great, was my very first RE game, but his traits are too confrontational in my opinion. RE6 is also good but not coming close to the other 3 games I've played.
tbh I almost put Darkside Chronicles on here (which would include Operation Javier) but ultimately I just decided to leave it out. There's really nothing unique or different about it to earn a spot on this list, but if I did I would bump Johann Urb's Leon and add Darkside on here
I’m subbed but as a recommendation for me personally, I’d recommend less cursing. I’ve noticed you’ve been doing it less in the last few vids. It’s fine when u do but at a point it got to it coming up as cringe with a lot of its delivery. I liked the more snarky funny commentary such as In this one. Other than that tho, I love the creativity u put in ur content compared to others. I genuinely get excited to see ur rankings
Just finished the re1 remake (2015 remaster) a few days ago. Already beat it a second time as chris. I loved it so much Im going for all achievements. Its really crazy how many amazing and unique enemy designs there were, especially for the first game and a game from 1996 (i think only lisa is new to the remake). I also noticed how on the first playthrough it was way scarier than the others, so much that there were a few times where i literally had to stop playing and like go on my phone or something for a few minutes, the only one that was scarier for me was re7 but i didn't platinum it yet because it wasn't as fun the second time. Already platinumed the second and third remakes so i look forward to this one
The Crimson heads are also a major change to the remake. They are not present in the original game at all. There's a few other changes as well, but the major ones are Lisa Trevor and the Crimson Heads.
tbh I almost put it over Retribution but I just really hated Damnation altogether. Perhaps I let that biased prevent me from putting it in over Retribution, but I actually loved the casting choice of Johann Urb in Retribution, even if the movie sucked bad haha
O verdadeiro Leon é o do 4 original, o resto são versões inferiores. E parece que a capcom faz de propósito, parece que ela não quer mais que o Leon seja como o 4 original, porque se não ele rouba mais ainda a cena dos demais personagens.
Tbh for me I love every version of Leon but i personally love the remake more of Leon because I like him more serious than his cheesy one liners don’t get me wrong his one liners isn’t the worst thing ever but if it’s overdone than it can get kinda annoying like in re4 og re2 remake did it really good imo for his one liners not overtop and not overdone imo
Highly disagree on RE2R and RE4R Leon placements. I think he is the worst, especially in the voice acting department, easily the worst Leon VA. OG RE4, Darkside Chronicles Leon and RE6 Leon are my personal favourite. Paul Mercier and Matthew Mercer nailed Leon. I hope future games recast either of them.
I know that RE6 was a terrible game rated one of the worst if not the worst in the franchise my honest opinion is that Leon is top in that game than anything

Re4 remake is the best one
@NerdSpaceGames Disagree with you on 2R's Leon being higher on the list than his original version.
They overdid with his naivety to the point that it crossed the line to straight up stupidity, and that was also reflected by some of the things he says throughout the game.
OG2 Leon was naïve, absolutely, but he was also aware that there was nothing he could do to save Raccoon City and that he simply had to escape while taking with him as many people as he could.
2R Leon instead:
- thinks he could still save the city;
- believes Ada's cover up story (while she's even more suspicious-looking than the OG thanks to this detail) without even showing a slight shadow of a doubt, but then he suddenly switches at the end and doesn't trust her anymore;
- tries to arrest Ada while the whole place around is crumbling and about to explode (and they're also on a very precarious walkway);
- he's manipulated so damn easily and in such an obvious way by Ada with just a kiss and a hand on his leg, but ofc he completely falls for it;
- refuses to save Ben because he still thinks, even when there's a zombie apocalypse going on, that there's some chain of command he must follow and that he must follow the rulebook of the perfect cop, so whoever is on the other side of the bars is undeniably guilty and shouldn't be trusted in the slightest;
- jokes over Ben's death, a civilian who, despite being locked in a cell, was innocent and that he should have protected
Since the people behind Welcome to Raccoon City took inspiration from this version of 1998 Leon, it becomes more apparent why they made him a braindead dweeb in the movie xD
I would have to say re2 remake Leon is the best
How about operation javier leon?
tbh I almost put Darkside Chronicles on here (which would include Operation Javier) but ultimately I just decided to leave it out.
Thank you for the feedback! I’ll definitely work on cursing less!
@@NerdSpaceGames oh i didn't know that. I think i found a torrent for the og 1996 game so i might play it at some point
Favourite RE character of all time. 😅👏
judging by yesterday's poll, you're definitely not alone there lol
The answer is all of them. 😍♥️
Fair answer lol
Finally
Enjoy!!
I'm surprised to not see damnation Leon on here!?
tbh I almost put it over Retribution but I just really hated Damnation altogether. Perhaps I let that biased prevent me from putting it in over Retribution, but I actually loved the casting choice of Johann Urb in Retribution, even if the movie sucked bad haha
@NerdSpaceGames haha Ig but still I like all the cgi I movies more than the live action.
W vid
Best version: Welcome to Raccoon City
My favourite Leon is Leon
Nice hot take 🤣
Like on this topic had you seen Resident Evil damnation tyrants that were great
the best leon is re2 and re4 remakes leon
O verdadeiro Leon é o do 4 original, o resto são versões inferiores. E parece que a capcom faz de propósito, parece que ela não quer mais que o Leon seja como o 4 original, porque se não ele rouba mais ainda a cena dos demais personagens.
although I love re4 leon I still prefer re4r version of him so I'll just put re4 at the 2end place😌
I respect that!
Tbh for me I love every version of Leon but i personally love the remake more of Leon because I like him more serious than his cheesy one liners don’t get me wrong his one liners isn’t the worst thing ever but if it’s overdone than it can get kinda annoying like in re4 og re2 remake did it really good imo for his one liners not overtop and not overdone imo
totally understand that! Most would agree with you but I just love my OG RE4 Leon the most haha
The Leon from Welcome to Raccoon City is the most accurate Leon. He glowed up way too much from RE2 to RE4.
I'd put the boring RE4 remake Leon as number 9, Infinite Darkness Leon as number 7 and RE 6 Leon as number 4.
Damnation leon >>>
Re 4 remake leon should be top re 4 og sucks finnaly video W
lol tbh I knew you wouldn't be happy with my number one but I'm a sucker for Paul Mercier as Leon in OG4 and the cheezy one-liners
@@NerdSpaceGames nah its aight mate your opinion
RE6 Leon is the best one for me. Never was fun of his cheesy RE4 oneliners, but remake made him better.
Totally respect that 🫡 tbh I’m just obsessed with the one liners and Paul Mercier’s delivery!
Please don't include the RE Retribution, that doesn't look like Leon at all especially the recent RE live action 😅.
Onihap
Highly disagree on RE2R and RE4R Leon placements. I think he is the worst, especially in the voice acting department, easily the worst Leon VA. OG RE4, Darkside Chronicles Leon and RE6 Leon are my personal favourite. Paul Mercier and Matthew Mercer nailed Leon. I hope future games recast either of them.
I know that RE6 was a terrible game rated one of the worst if not the worst in the franchise my honest opinion is that Leon is top in that game than anything
RE4 remake has the worst version of Leon.🤮 And you think RE4 leon deservs no.4 ranking!😩
Most would disagree with both of us if you check out the other comments on the video as most think he’s the number 1 version. I wouldn’t go that far but just showing you that we all have completely different opinions lol
@NerdSpaceGames yeah, good one ^ but I disagree with your reply😏
@@minjatamang8900 I'm confused? lol
2 Remake is without a doubt the worst Leon. It's the only Leon that isn't badass.
OG 4 Leon is the worst. I don't know what they were thinking, but all characters in OG 4 are annoying and not funny. Cringe jokes and one liners.
OG RE4 Leon >>>>>>>> 🫦
