The resident evil series just has the absolute best atmosphere when it comes to horror. One of the biggest reasons why I love this series so much. My favorites are Spencer Mansion, Raccoon City, RE4 setting, Baker estate, and the village in....well village.
@@kylereno5383 but creativity goes to RE . Silent hill was a masterpiece but that series wasn't longer than RE. RE is always in rank 1 at horror games as it is right now, some of RE games are scarier imo.
@@kylereno5383and bro I should add a fact . That is : don't look at RE as a horror game always cuz it is a long series that connects to each other, for example re2 really makes people think and learn so much about story and it's satisfying, RE changes the percentage of horror every second at each area
Even though the Spencer Mansion is the most iconic setting, I think RE Village is my favorite because the Village itself felt like its own character (No wonder it's titular). It changes every time you defeat a boss and solve puzzles.
It's definitely an awesome setting. Whenever I play the game I really like to immerse myself in there one of the first things I think about is how awful it probably smells in there 😂
Nothing will ever beat the atmosphere of the rpd/raccoon city setting there’s just something so creepy and ominous about a decrepit city. Is it bad that I miss raccoon city and umbrella?
For me personally I’m having resident evil village as my number 1 spot , it was just incredible with the looks , the location, just the setting in general was amazing
I honestly loved the Antarctic Base in RE Code Veronica, especially with that Spencer Mansion Replica they had there, I felt like I was playing RE1 doing those puzzles in there as Chris
I pretty much agree with most of your rankings but I definitely agree with your top three. 😊 Even though four is my favorite in the franchise I definitely agree that the settings on two and one are more iconic. When I think of Resident Evil, what comes to mind are the Spencer mansion and the RPD. I always liked that the RPD used to be a museum and I think it made it stand out more. Spencer Mansion sets the toad for the series to me.
Nice!!! Yeah I love the setting of resident evil 4 and honestly I totally understand people liking it better, but I couldn’t push myself to put it above the Spencer mansion & RPD station
A beach and every one is having fun at the beach until the virus hits the beach and the peoples are terrified and running away from the zombies and they get killed and zombiefied
Lady D and her daughter’s could have been its own game spanning from the village and castle. Doing so and slapping it with the silent hill title would make $$
I put village and resident evil 4 a spot higher because those setting’s had the some of the most variety and at the same time every location was still really well polished and designed
@@NerdSpaceGames yeah, I think it deserved the high spot. Whenever I am inside the dark house I feel like anything could go wrong and someone is watching me any ways have a great day
I just thought about an amazing idea for re9's setting. It might be a little out there and weird but i think they could pull it off. So there is like a house but its like a very big house, but unlike most big houses there are like zombies in there and dogs and stuff, which isn't very traditional for houses
I made a guess on where i think Ruben would put them and 6 of were right I already know poor old 6 would be the worst spot I got 0 7 3 4 1 and like i said 6
RE7 is tricky, since the main house and old house are outstanding, but all new locations after that are kinda weak (the Lucas section is driven more by the danger of Lucas's traps, than the setting itself, and boat driven more by story revelations). Still, the sheer attention to detail in the houses should put it up higher.
I just finished RE7 last Sunday. I would put it in the top five for me. My top five settings would probably be 1 Resident Evil, 2 RE4, 3 RE2, 4 Revelations 2, 5 RE7
People will probably crucify me for this but Resident Evil 8 is my favorite setting in the whole series I fell in love with it immediately the aesthetic is perfect and fits my personality I’m not sorry 🤷🏻♂️
while most of the locations and settings in the re series are quite memorable and fun to play in, silent hill will always take the cake as far as atmosphere goes imo. it does everything great re does and turns it up to 11.

Oh i totally disagree with revelations 2 rank. It has a great atmosphere and setting, you literally just trying to survive and even hunt for food at one part.
In my opinion 2 would be much lower than #2 spot. Even though rpd is super iconic and definitely a great location the sewers bring it down a lot for me since they’re not super interesting or memorable compared to locations in other games. Nest is cool but definitely not worthy of such a high ranking
@@NerdSpaceGames, my experience with RE 1 has mostly been limited to YT videos, and that’s the main reason why I picked 2 over 1. But, yeah, pretty hard to decide.
