Balenciaga deserves ABSOLUTELY NO FORGIVENESS for what they did. It is abhorrent, reprehensible, and deplorable. Hundreds of thousands of children are molested, raped, and abused by pedophiles nation and world wide. It is unforgivable to give pedophilia a platform in any shape or form. I too have a few Balenciaga items and loved the brand prior to that. It is unforgiveable and no way they deserve a second chance. Some lines should be HARD lines and never crossed. Glorifying pedophilia is one of them. When I see celebrities and women still promoting and carrying Balenciaga, I think of them as weak, soulless people. Nothing to commend.

Before you buy the NF, check out the Celine Cabas Anais Triomphe. The leather is stunning, much more elegant and less common than the NF. Similar price, but WAY more to it, IMHO. I bought it in the smaller size version. I LOVE how you can pull in the side with the strap also, if you don't need it so wide. Strap drop says 30cm on the MM size on website.

I had my monthly appointment on Saturday and was so torn between the inside out Neverfull and the original in the GM. I would have had to order the inside out which is fine but I decided I REALLY wanted the original. I love it so much and I cannot wait to use it for my trip next week. This is one of the bags I want the trifecta! I’ll have another appointment in a few weeks and will decide which speedy I want next. Again I think I want one of the original bandouliere in monogram. Everybody deserves a second chance - except greedy companies that sexualise children in the most disgusting way. Balenciaga should be cancelled for good. And it pains me to say this because of their great heritage. But Cristobal Balenciaga is no longer with us and that's the end of it for me. Frankly, I like Dayle's channel, but I unsubscribed from it. I am also very disappointed by all of the celebs who are the poster childs of this despicable brand. Unless Balenciaga gets rid of Demna and everyone involved in the scandal, this brand does not exist for me any more. There are so many great bags out there, we don't need their Peekaboo rip-off.

If you watch the Balenciaga Series Cristobal Balenciaga never wanted his brand to continue after his death, without him and so he completely closed his business down, unfortunately after his death his beneficiaries sold the name on. I think now would be a great time to honour his wishes but sadly I think Kering who own it amongst several other big luxury brands such as YSL, Bottega etc will keep flogging this dead horse facilitated by disgraced designer Demna Gvasalia and celebrities for-hire such as the Kartrashian’s until the public forget and start to return their now desolate shops (I wouldn’t hold you breath though Kering) 😂

The Dior saddle actually looked really good on you. The mini Chanel looks to have caviar-esque hardware too, how cool. I just bought the Coach quilted Tabby 20 in a very similar green shade, 4 grommets and chain strap because I wanted that sort of style but not that price. I can’t wrap my head around mini bags that aren’t special but command special prices, especially Chanel. I don’t know who put them on a pedestal but back in 80s/90s they were a fashion house the same as any other 🤷🏻‍♀️. Bought my son a lovely new sofa instead and I’m enjoying the Tabby. Explore the saddle bag and yes to Bottega.

I love the Rodeo. I don't condone what they have done and I think they got the message loud and clear that the public was unhappy and disgusted with that campaign but I think it's time to move on.I've never had any Balenciaga but this bag has left me breathless.

In reply to your question regarding Balenciaga......if you've ever known an adult that was abused as a child you would know that the traumas they face do not go away as easily as some "Influencers" would like so they could add bag #99 to their "Collection". The damage goes deep and extends even generationally. No I will not overlook Balenciaga's sordid advertisement(s).

OMG, I think the newsprint NCY saddle is my favourite bag right now. 😬 I agree, the Rodeo is beautiful. It looks to me like it's somewhat of a "quiet luxury" style, which is unusual for Balenciaga. Could this be their way of tiptoeing back in looking for forgiveness? 🤷🏼‍♀️ Initially, I felt they were deflecting blame and beyond forgiveness. However, I think they are now taking more accountability and I just read that they are in a multi-year partnership with National Children's Alliance to help kids in the process of overcoming trauma and dealing with mental health. I bought my one and only Bottega Venetta bag pre-loved from I think Fashionphile a year or 2 ago for $500+ 🤗. Bottegas don't hold their value so I think it's best to buy them pre-loved. I don't know about the Andiamo though. It's still current so it may still be expensive too.

Intrecciato by Bottega : when you wear it as an everyday bag, the edges of the weaving will look bobbly and messy and curl up eventually 🧐 It doesn’t look polished for long when you really use it in my experience

Regarding Balenciaga, I’ve never liked any of their bags. They have now guaranteed that I will never even consider the brand. The rodeo bag may be nice but not nice enough for me to overlook what they’ve done. By moving on & forgetting what they’ve done it’s like it was condoned. We vote with our dollars. They will never get mine.

Balenciaga could have taken steps to show they were serious about fixing their image. They retained Demna and the team, with some very questionable vibes on their instas etc from those in the company and collaborators / adjacent…it’s giving pizzagate vibes. Used to be a fan, it’s a NO from me until they prove change.

I think the Andiamo bag is a perfect style for you and will push the Ballencia bag out of your mind! I’m sorry you missed out on the Dior saddle bag. I think you would have really enjoyed it but you’re right to consider your budget. Maybe someday it will come back to you.

That’s a tough one about Balenciaga, Deb. I believe that if you really like the handbag and you feel that enough time has passed since the scandal and that the company had sufficiently acquitted itself, then get the Rodeo bag. We sometimes force our opinions onto other people and are sometimes too judgmental. Most people in our lives don’t follow luxury and they won’t know and will not be judgmental.

Does Balenciaga deserve another chance? Do children who have been victimized get another chance at retaining their innocence? The answer to both of these questions is no
