I think somewhere along the way many of us got so caught up in the journey we forgot about the destination ! There has been far too much emphasis on the chase , the hunt , the illusive next aquasition , we actually lost sight of the dream of having something special , something to touch , to smell , to ACTUALLY use , and ENJOY ! It was like we were buying houses and never actually LIVING in them , or having a car and never taking it out of the drive . I'm not saying we can't ever buy any more future peices , to swap out or enhance our collections , but its just so wasteful not to make the most of our existing pieces ! I also think there is nothing wrong with window shopping or checking in with anything new , but just because we like something does NOT mean we HAVE to have it ! These items are , after all is said and done , just bags , and it is such a waste if we never actually get to use them , and lets face it , at the end of the day , when all is said and done , we can't take them WITH US ! 😂❤❤x
It makes perfect sense to me to sell what’s not used and even buy all new if you want, especially if handbags are your thing. I don’t think anyone needs to explain! How fun to sell something then recycle those funds into a new passion! BTW that gorgeous D Joy is actually my favorite! 🤩
Nothing wrong with appreciating what we have , you should be very proud of such a fine collection ! The Kelly in that grey is a timeless classic and the Birkin is just iconic ❤❤ , the fact that you are now being much more selective , choosy and less impulsive can only be a good thing ! HOWEVER ,...I'd still love my preminition of you jetting off to Paris and trying on the Diane bag in Joseph Duclos ,...can't recall if I've ever mentioned that before ...🤔🤔🤣🙏🤩❤️💋
I think by end of next year I’ll be feeling very complete. I’ve only got a couple of things I feel like I’m missing. By 2026 I think I’ll be moving onto just one or two extra extra special bags a year.
@@WildunfilteredWhile I was watching this video, I thought this bag is perfect with the sweater you are wearing. Gray is a beautiful backdrop to it. May I suggest wearing it to lunch, putting it on the table and immersing yourself in the feeling of gratitude that you have. It can be your beautiful pick-me up/ just because bag that gets to go out once in awhile ❤😊
Great video Deb, I think when you use the dior you’ll know for sure if you love her or not and I think you will love her! I think I’m getting close to the way your feeling now ❤
Hey Jen. Thanks love. Yes I feel like when I’m on the fence about letting a bag go I don’t use it in case I damage it so it ends up sat on a shelf. So in my head it’s on its way out. X
I can't wait to see your new special bag. I think that I am done buying bags for the year. I am looking forward to the Murakami release in 2025. I'm sure there will be a bag that I have to have!
I love this, your collection is fabulous just like Amelias its been lovely watching it grow and you finding yourself with what you like. I still see a nice caviar mini in your future though. 😂
Do you think you might be hesitant about trying to sell the D-joy because it’s a lot of hassle to go through, and you won’t get your money back ? I think you are a H/LV/Chanel girl at heart.
Yes I love the colour so much so don’t want to let it go. I think you’re right I gravitate to Hermes Chanel and LV more. Also I will lose so much money. X
@ It really helps and makes me aware of which bags I love the most and which, rarely, if ever get used any more. It is also fun to look back over the years to see what was favourite at any particular time of the year or special occasions.
I would like to offer a compromise option, buy the high-end imitation *hotdups* ; sometimes you will know that (cherishing) is not just a literal meaning when you spend money and cherish it yourself, but also includes cherishing yourself and the limited resources of the earth.

The colour is insane x
I love D-Joy maybe it will grow on you, it’s beautiful.
It’s so beautiful to look at. I just don’t use it. I honestly can’t figure out why. X

Until the next fabulous bag comes out!
True story!
I keep a handbag diary, which I know that is a bit much, but it means I can keep a check on the use of my bags. It really helps.
I should do the same x

@ such a great idea x
you have a beautiful collection! Maybe you will get into shoes 😉
Oh I’m already into shoes!
