Guys, be nice, the coloured dots were done by blind nursery school children and all proceeds were given by Bernard Arnault’s Son (who through nepotism is currently the Vice President of Tiffany & Co) to help with Trumps Presidential campaign. I’m joking of course but LV owner Bernard Arnault’s son Alexandre Arnault was spotted, rather worryingly, at Trumps home, Mar-a-Lago in Florida hmmmmm 😮
It’s likely that the over-saturation of collections and the frequency of the drops make it hard for people to keep up. The prices are also so high that consumers aren’t buying as well especially the canvas. Wasn’t there two drops of the Kusama collection pieces? I believe those two things and the controversy surrounding the artist herself probably turned some people off and kept them from buying, Deb. Another great video.
Deb I think people heve had enough of these expensive bags. I think the mid range is doing much better, like polene or coach or toteme. I think after covid it was a big thing to spend tons of money but also so m any of these things are available on resale markets.
I am making enough money to be able to afford luxury items, but for many years I am buying more top quality replicas, than real items. I am not person who is looking to fashion as investment. I want my handbags, shoes, sunglasses or jewelry for one season. Sad fact is, that my replicas have better quality than most of original products. We did comparisons with friend who works for one of the top designers and she was shocked. I know people who bought *suluxy* at reputable places.
Neverfull after seeing it in person myself, its so disappointing LV are going to have issues with the thin canvas. The non stop drops, and the prices that have gone up with that do not help. The only drop anyone should be go crazy for is the Murakami in Jan. That will be a money maker for them. Cant wait to see if they do the Alma and will the rainbow have the studs? Because they love the corner hardware at the moment.
Seems like there's a slight regional component to what is sold out because items that are sold out in the USA are not on the UK's site and probably vice versa. Very interesting video!
Hi Deb, I still kind of kick myself for not going all in on the red Speedy P9 when I had the chance, but also think that it is an insane amount of money to spend on a Speedy. I really like the monogram Neverfull with the black trim in MM size, but the strap in awkward and paying such a premium for a bag that has always been able to reverse seems silly to me. For those of us that can afford some of these bags, more mature women in age, we already have curated collections that we love and we don't need to buy more of the ones that are similar. For new collectors, the price has gotten so high I believe that fewer bags are affordable for purchase and there are other brands that offer close to the same for less.
Love your LV collection! ❤ Unrelated: your sequin Chanel looks amazing! No idea what camera & lighting you have but the bag looks very tempting compared to Amelia Rose’s version. Her’s looks more orange. Now I want it!!!🤷🏽♀️
Louis Vuitton gifts a lot f their products to a massive amount of influencers which I don’t care for. The new LV neverfull that was gifted in massive quantities to influencers makes the product seem pedestrian as a result. They took the lux out f luxury. The market is over saturated and people don’t care anymore.
I think as a group of luxury loving women in my friendship group, we would buy 2/3 bags a year but now I speak to people and possibly 1 / 2 a year. Price point is hugely different from 5/6 years ago and I think people only buying what they ‘need’ and will ‘use’ where before a lot of people shopped for fun but now not so much it takes more thought at these prices. It’s a shame because I loved a spontaneous purchase but they rarely happen now. Xx
Just because it is showing as available on the Dior website, it doesn't mean it is. I bought a Lady Dior that was available on the website, but they failed to be able to source it, and after I had to chase them what was happening, they refunded me. Very poor customer service from Dior. Taking money for bash they can't guarantee they can send you. I then told them I'd take the DJoy in the same design and it took them over a week (and lots of chasing) to source that
Hi hun can I pleas have some advice I want to buy a preloved Alma bb monogram however it has lots of water spots is there any way this can be repaired or made to look better thank you please i hope you can reply xx
@@sweetierumbimissdiva hi. In my experience once the water spots are there then it’s very hard to remove them. However it is the beauty of the leather and I wouldn’t let that stop you buying it x
The only Xmas animation piece to sell out is the card holder with Vivienne head. I pre-ordered the Speedy Trunk 20 & my boutique didn’t get any in other than the pre-orders. Out of stock online in Canada. It was released on Friday, only 4 boutiques in the US have one. Not available online there either.
i agree with others, they try to create FOMO but we are thinking things more thoroughly before we buy and aren't falling for it. we now know things will be there and if not, they'll hit the resale market after the hype. i am curious as to what's going to happen to the items that don't get sold. i recall watching a video that lux brands aren't allowed to burn/destroy their items anymore.
Hi Deb, too much of everything and anything, loads of lazy designs, etc. If you think about it, what really sells now is really expensive high-end pieces. P9 / Exotic Capucines & petite malles for LV. It gets to show that the consumers are willing to pay a premium for “real” luxury goods, if you allow me to say so. We are literally sick and tired of spending 2 to 3k for non leather pieces.
I never believe when they say sold out its all to do with supply n demand. its not like you making a spaceship that really needs time, material etc. it's just a bag. they can make it if they want. not handmade anyway. they just want u to want it my dear.
Yes, obviously they are manipulating us. It's an age-old tactic in advertising. They do it in every business. Oh this is the last one! Oh, this is gonna sell out! This is will be impossible to get...etc. Whether it's handbags or cars or whatever. I recently pre-ordered the LV Speedy soft 30 dark, because I'd long thought I wanted a Speedy 30, if only they did one that didn't have that tacky bright gold hardware and vachetta (my opinion obv.). SO here was this new launch of just what I was looking for and I could still pre-order before it hit stores and sold out. I got it about 3 weeks later, opened it, looked at it. Put it in my closet. And two weeks later, I realized I was never gonna carry it. Because LV monogram canvas is just not me. So I returned it in store. Where even though online it says preorders have a 6-8 week wait, there was another one just like it on the shelf. Maybe another return from someone like me who was caught up in the FOMO and then was not impressed with the actual product. (The soft canvas bags are leather lined, but even the outside feels too delicate, like it would scratch really easily. I'm just gonna stick to full leather bags from now on.) Doesn't mean I won't get manipulated again. I probably will. But I will never pay that much for canvas again. I now realize how ridiculous that is. And the brands spend so much on advertising; they WAY overspend considering how ubiquitous their brands already are, and that's how canvas bags end up costing $3250 in the first place.
I think the market is slowing down and people are being much more careful how they spend their money. Chanel raised their prices too much and thought that people were fools, the same with Dior and LV. I like my Fendi bags and their prices aren’t being raised quite so much and my LV On My Side I bought second hand. Mint condition but two thirds of the price!
I think there is way too much choice Deb ….. fries your brain… I have just bought a mulberry mini crossbody in black vintage coming on Wednesday it’s also from a London hospice website ❤
Hey Deb! SoCal Deb here. Girl……..I did not see one person wearing the new denim but I did see people wearing the vintage denim including my very own sister. I think LV does too many of these drops so I don’t really see them as special. I figure I can pretty much get anything I want pre-love. LV does such a good job with the men’s line. My latest purchase was a limited edition small soft trunk from the men’s line and I don’t know anyone who is falling for the socalled inside out Neverfull…I mos def will pass on that. I think people are tired of all these launches….every month they have one and it is exhausting. The price increases do not help as well in addition to the massive amount of stock available in the pre=love market. with the exception of the real LV colllectors like Meredith most of us have been inundated with bags from everyone….I walked into my local LV and I could have bought a P9 so I think the initial hype is dying out plus they have a new soft leather speedy that ai would buy over the P9.
That lv collection with the dots wasn’t for me either
No I didn’t like it at all x

@@rosannagomez8040 but I loved the Pumpkin Neverfull but it sold-out :(

No to the dots but I loved the pumpkins!

Alot of LVs non stop drops are currently on 24S. Alot of the old colour mania pieces were available to buy until recently.

Thank you so much yes it seems as though UK does have some stock at min x
I think sometimes they show “sold out “ to create FOMO
This is so true. X
I got the Speedy Trunk! She's beautiful 😍 Worth every penny 😍
It looks amazing. I’m very tempted x

This is a very interesting video, I’m always shocked by the availability at the minute! I did expect that speedy trunk to be more tho ❤
There seems to be more availability in the UK than USA it seems x
Love the Speedy Trunk but like many people, I just can’t afford it right now.
It’s so expensive. X
Girl, it isn’t even about being able to afford it. It shouldn’t cost that much in the first place !
Love your LV collection! ❤

Oh thank you! I’ve been experimenting with lighting to make it less harsh. So I’m glad you are liking it. The bag is insanely beautiful x
Let’s not forget about the collection with the animals 😅 biggest fail I think
That was so strange!
Oh yes! Disaster!
I would get the Speedy Trunk if it didn’t have reverse monogram. I do not like reverse monogram at all.
I’m not keen generally but like this as it’s just the side pieces x
I think people are no longer buying as much as they use to.. .. now fashionphile now have sales every month.. before it was once in a while
This is very interesting!

There are certain bags that they gift widely but it’s easy to see. For me, that’s a big turn off.

I don't like the drawn on stuff Louse Vuitton have at the moment. I miss the early 2000s with collabs like Murakami one that actually looked good.
Murikami coming back in Jan!
FAKE SHORTAGES! Bad quality! High and stratospheric prices!

The canvas is no longer great quality from LV. I have vintage., because I appreciate its lightweight and strong qualities.
It’s crazy amount of marketing costs x
