So I just figured out turning off head tracking Z axis keeps your eyes behind the gunsight but your head can move and look around. Dcs buddy told me that. Game changer in my sim gunnery

If only sim EC would give you normal rewards instead of the "useful actions" BS. There is no incentives to dogfight as it only makes you risk your 15 min rewards...

the only thing stopping me from playing sim is my lack of some sort of joystick. it looks fun but i cant use mouse controls on sim :(, just doesnt work for me. ill stick to air rb and air arcade :)

I've slowly been messing with SIM with the P-47 and P-38s it's made me realize how reliant I am on the game's handholding for situational awareness especially at jet brs like 8.0 and above. Though I feel if I work at it I'll gradually get better, I need to get better at the implementation side of things rather than just reading something and just going huh cool before I completely fuck up any sort of energy fight.

I kiinda learned sim playing gen 3 jet BRs, with SAS damping so I dont have to worry about the issues of trimming and stuff, not many strong radar missles to beam you out of the sky and many enemies that seemingly arent that great at dogfighting(premium BRs lol). Still usually can't identify enemies before they see me tho.

I had fuckin dogshit aim and could NEVER hit anything, playing against bots really helps you figure out how to aim and improve your gunnery

Spotting and tracking targets - good rear visibility.... absolutely critical - but so difficult ... for me at least... how did you get such a zoomed out view - I've seen that on other channels too... ?

it just boils down to awareness and knowledge of your aircraft.

Do 335 becomes a lot easier when you develop your echolocation skill.

It hurts to get rekd, try 420:1 KD Exposé and all is good if you can incorporate it into your playstyle. You can figure something out, not everything - but something if you can internalize data. My ego hurts when 600:1 KD is trying to convince me that he's good. Guy didn't have a day in any kind of class or whatever where numbers were looked at and sheet. 1v1 dueling is the best, No. 1 easiest, method to learn. You get your bum shot under same conditions which you can see as a constant around which you improve. Less variables that way. Teaching principles goes way further than step by step guides. Something like stay above 420kmph in a prop plane before you try and park behind someone etc. Going up slows you down haha EDIT: Get one "intense" fight and then break it down in such a way where you externalize your thought process during the same. Paint with a broad brush idk

Ur just wrong, average alaskan L. If you want my advice. You gotta be a dueler and duel everything you see and everyone who has a minor discourse with you in wt or discord. Then you watch 500 hours of 6th army and adelwolf footage to understand the concept of true energy fighting. You could never beat me in EC nor in a duel. And no, i wont duel you because i dont waste my time unless you're greek airforce or someone else who's a good dogfighter.

If you think the Mosquito is bad in Sim, I’d argue you aren’t acclimated with how to properly use it. It’s a very specific play style and people have a tendency to vastly underestimate you. Especially now with the new flight model. The FB Mk VI is excellent in an intruder role while the FB Mk XVIII is an extremely satisfying strike fighter and tank hunter. I’d happily fly with you and show you what I’m talking about while drinking beer.

im getting into sim currently, what do you use to track so smoothly what you want to look at?

Getting missiled by a sea vixen in a 262 on sim is nuts. I hate Vixen players, but ive used the vehicle on warbond trials before, it wouldn't be playable higher, ariete is literally broken vs basically anything without missiled. Just perfect examples of gainins p2w or adding vehicles that cause problems or inbalance but only if you pay for them. Idk if people realize this, but BP and events are getting us more copy paste, while they add more premiums that should've been bp and event rewards. This has been going on for a while

Regardless of whether they're OP or not, the Sea Vixen and the Ariete should both go up. At least one step, probably 2. Saggitario as well, thing belongs at 8.7, not 8.0

that ball anoys me so much i leave to cockit open and after a little bit of time or around 517kph it breaks off. Also noticed you get better sound of nearby engines with the canopy open.
