I mean it wouldn’t be THAT much of an issue if Su-27’s RWR was able to at least show the distance to threats that aren’t hard-locking you but still the 27S would have a maaaaaaassive disadvantage cause its RWR has sectors of 15deg (so you basically can’t notch properly cause the SPO-15 will show the same “3-9” position on the display but the angle can actually very from 82.5deg to 97.5deg / 262.5deg to 277.5deg) and also you have no idea who are locking you until merge and no idea is it friendly or not until you turn your nose into the threat and turn on your radar (that has the slowest scan speed at 11.7+, can’t adjust its elevation (in TWS mode) when the target/you are climbing/diving and almost never shows targets that are closer than 10km from you) Ok, he also said that the Su-27 has fantastic FM and can point its nose wherever it wants and whenever it wants lmao. He definitely never ever merged in the Su-27

I play M&KB i dont use a joystick so i only really CAN play sim at top tier thanks to dampened controls and FBW flight models but in props having to deal with trimming the plane and manual engine control its all just a bit much for me. I'll say, The smokeless motors are difficult to predict or at all spot, however, I've started doing something that either I never see many do, or they don't bother to do, if your radar spots an enemy in front of you, start flaring and changing direction, try to make it as difficult as possible for their AIM-9M's to have a lock or even track you. Pay attention to the RWR if its enemy, pre flare, in a dogfight, pre flare, rear aspect, pray. HOWEVER, this amount of pre flareing and awareness is only good if you have a minimum of 120 countermeasures total or more. Secondly awareness is only good if you have a good RWR, something the flanker suffers from, I believe the SM will help with this issue and improve RED team's play time in the match, and be of much use in a dogfight or side aspect. The guy in the video (Forums) was delusional.
all good till there r like 12 players in the other team all in f16s and shit flanker radar cant spot them half of the time , sht rwr wont tell u that an f16 is close n u eat a bunch of aim9ms. i only play if its a 6v6 or 8v8 at most , once more than 10 players join the other team i think about quitting the second i die. there are also f16s that use thermal pod to spot stuff n turn off their radar. , smt/yak141 got better situational awareness cus of radar n rwr, su27sm will only fix rwr also u get less flares in russian jets , so its hard to continue in 10v10+ matches
@hemendraravi4787 the L pod spottingnis just smart, the total amount of players for top tier I agree needs ro be lowered, 10vs10 and higher is way too much, as for the RWR I mentioned that in the first comment.
As a brit main, its all the same to me, i die to both and all and theres nothing my Tornado can do to gain the edge in a fight against any top tier aircraft. Everything I've read up on about how to counter missiles and radars just isn't employable in war thunder, and these planes are the ones these tactics were written for. They gotta fix this game I cba to bind DCS controls

The things they actually do in game do not match how they post about it. This time it was forum posts, but I swear to god even a lot of people commentating on the moves they're doing in a VOD in realtime sometimes has completely made up shit
