Great videos man, thanks for the clear explanations. But I didn't really get how you adjust the AoA bracket, the TVV and the 2.5 degree line during a landing. Should I use throttle, speed, trim to stay on glideslope? I also watched your other videos on this but didn't really understand.

I've watched this a bunch of times but I constantly have issues where the glideslope bar never meets as a cross with the localizer. it's always too far up or down. what does it mean when its pegged up top or at the bottom? what do I need to do to correct it or line it up in those circumstances?

You were diving into the proper 3 degree glide path. By 1000’ you should be at the proper AOA, glide path and descent rate.

Do we know if this is still the same procedure in Jan 2025?

11 DEGREES AOA! THANK YOU! My landings have been a little wonky lately. I keep coming down much too hard, not really knowing when to flare. I was putting my AoA in the green zone, but I've just tried leaving the FPM at the top of the bracket. And like magic, it's now obvious when to flare, and when I do I make a beautiful landing! Perfect!

Do you need to add "refueling" as a performed task or what would you need that option for?

You are pulling over 8Gs with Mavericks???

As a pilot for 15 years, it all goes down to the same thing from C172, B737 or F16 - doesn't matter. And it is - let the plane fly, let it do its thing, don't over-control it, just guide it to the thresh. The key to any flight (and landing is a flight) is pitch and power. The F16 has a tremendously sensitive stick, so when you control it, your brain thinks of turning left and already sends signal to your fingers (3 fingers on the stick) to move to achieve the turn. Oh and throw away any plastic , light, cheap joysticks

I'm hoping you see this question since the video is 2 yrs old. Anyway how are you zooming in on your hud while in cockpit view and do you have any binds setup for that ? Im using the warthog hotas and I would like to be able to zoom in using the throttle base ( a binding to something on the throttle base).

My workflow for this is: 1. Markpoint-Hud. 2. TMS up long to get HCMS circle. 3. Visually acquire TGT. 4. Tms up + refine. 5. TMS up to create markpoint. 6. Press 0-msel to make new markpoint SPI. That way you can mark even if you don’t have a bomb or TGP.

is their a chart for v speeds?? in the hornet you can tell when she wants to fly, in the falcon not so much. I usually rotate around 175kts and climb out at say 350 or greater. having a v speed chart for weights would be fantastic, as I use them and have been the last 30 years..
