This change in the ALR67 is not an improvement in my opinion. My brain is now programmed to think that once the tone is gone I've broken the lock, like every other aircraft. I should have to go heads down in a evasive situation to see the "M" on the RWR...
still having a hard time with boresigh the mavericks. Tried two times yesterday, looked good on the ground but boresight was off in the air. Dont know if i made a mistake or if there's still a problem.
I tried again after this video was made and it does appear to be working. I boresighted on that APC at the far end of the field, took off, flew several miles away and was able to get an auto-handoff from both stations. They aren’t kidding about the parallax error on the ground, unless you boresight on a far-away object it will be off. If you BSGT on the ground and it’s still off by a bit, maybe try re-boresighting in the air, see if that works?
best to boresight in flight at 5+ nm, ground boresight will always be less accurate but it doesn't have to be perfect as mav can still find target a little off
In the patch they stated the fix about the Mavs boresight to the TGP and you should have Ground Jettison enable, Master Arm in ON or Simulate and most important if you are doing it in the ground, a 1 mile distance at least to not expect errors
Hmm I did not notice any issues there. I would try deleting the fxo and metashaders2 folders in saved games, restarting your computer and see if that fixes it.
The GPU load (utilization not maxed out) is broken since latest patch. I think they tuned something in the engine. I play in VR and it's very noticeable having less FPS available.
@@idiedoof4339 Ill have to ask my friend who's a viper driver to give me a ball park but he came over the other day i showed him DCS and told me the radar has too much of a short range. he told me IRL @40 he could Defenetly lock stuff.. In DCS you can barly lock stuff at 35... theres somthing wrong with the radar in dcs.. Do better DCS.
I have, it’s pretty fun even thought it’s not meant to be landing on a carrier lol. You just have to be careful with the landing gear as it’s not meant for a hard impact. Unlike all the other naval aircraft like the F-18
There is still indication on the RWR that a missile is out, it just doesn't constantly blare, instead waiting for new missile launches or letting off a low pitch reminder every 15 seconds.
I commented about this as well. I personally think this is a downgrade not an improvement. All other ALR67s IRL blare the launch tone as long as the missile is tracking so you know you're still in danger. This is a video game so people are "inconvenienced" by the safety given by an "annoying" feature designed to keep you alive. My brain is trained to think as long as the tone is alive I'm being tracked, 15 seconds is way too long and I shouldn't have to look down at the RWR to see a "M" to know I'm being tracked. The whole point of the tone is to utilize another sense available to the pilot.
@@Just-Steve I think it will just be something to get used to. As long as it is more accurate to the real thing I don't have much in the way of complaints.
Gotten worse. They switched to native OpenXR support, since then my GPU won't max out the utilization and you get less FPS because of that. Something is off...
omg im so happy they FINALLY fixed the mavricks
ground bsgt is still kinda shit.
thanks you save me a lot of time to see these fixses
I wish that all modules in DCS had tutorials like the A-10CII
Finally the f16 is carrier worthy. Now if only servers would stop autokicking for even looking at the carrier in a non carrier plane.
For small damage and causes fuel leak you could try with BTR and fly low and bit slow. See if it works
yeah those were some really annoying bugs. Glad they finally fixed them. Looking forward to testing this since the Viper is my primary aircraft in DCS
damn graphics look clean and very nice
I was sure I just watched you vid on the Mav boresight the other day.
Why the rwr cant just make noice all the time when missile on air, or is that the f16 way to be like?

@mandellorian right. 99% of the another RWRs are just obsolete in comparison to the almighty F-16...

I have a ton of stuttering after the update with a high end system. Any suggestions

Mhm in SP i could swear I get more fps but didn't test in MP tho.

try setting pagefile/virtual memory
Same i lost a ton of frames
when is MULTI CORE SUPPORRT COMING WAGS
I hope they fix the unrealistic radar range soon.. 40 max range on a viper is not realistic.. even if they say it is.. it's not.
What would be the realistic radar range?

what gpu and cpu do you use?
Wait so yall are cool with not knowing if a missile is still tracking you until it hits you??

gonna admit that its something that im a bit worried about, but now I know if more than 1 missile is launched at me and Ill get used to it over time.

worst update ever. It broke TGP...
