    I have a question about a regular stock adapter. How does the adjustment of the adapter actually alter the loft of the club? How does that work? Technically, you're not changing the loft on the driver head, so it must have something to do with the relationship of the shaft angle into the head. Do you have an explanation for that?

    Huge golf nerd as well. I am trying to figure out the downsides to playing a club with tungsten. I definitely can see the feel being an issue as the tungsten clubs like T300 have a “thud” to it. Most of the clubs have decent workability.

    l know l am 5 years late and thank you. Question, l have an old Titleist tour model iron (blade) and l don't know the year of it. l really like the head but the shaft is a regular and l want to pull it and install Project X 6.5 on it. My question how do l know whether the iron head is parallel or a taper? Are all the blades typically taper? Thank you.

    Im not super handy but I may try this. How long of a cable would I need for a 12 foot wide garage?

    • @lesg9604
      @lesg9604 19 днів тому

      12 feet at least, less the length of the turnbuckle, so that tension can be created on the wire. So, like 11 ft, assuming at least a 12 inch turnbuckle, and also less any other hangers you have in place on either end

    I have a shaft with a pxg adapter already attached to it that I'm looking to put on a pxg 3 hybrid head. Do I need to epoxy the shaft into the club head? Or is the screw all that is necessary to hold the shaft and adapter to the club head?

    Is there any issues with an older style head & shaft attachment where there is 2 inches of wound wire on the outside where the clubhead meets the shaft. It does have a graphite shaft into a full carbon head. Even though it is the "old school" method, the club is a 2004. Thanks

    I’m a lefty, but my son is righty and has several shafts……both hit callaways. So If I put one of his righty shafts in my lefty driver, I have essentially made the exact swap correct? So to deloft my 9 to a 7, I use the +2 mark? Great video btw!

    I picked up a set of these for $75 on marketplace last week, 3-SW, black dot. So far I am loving them. The heads look so big when you are standing over them. I call them meat cleavers. I seem to have an easier time hitting the ball in the air and straighter, and the thin shots do not kill my hands.

    I got fitted for my irons my height 6'1 and wrist to floor in between 37-38 inchs club length +1/2 inch club lie angle + 3° upright so should I play standard lie and length 56° wedge or set them up like my irons this is confusing any feed bach would help thanks.

      I would personally go with ~1 to -1.25 degrees flatter on your 56 wedge. I too have +2.5 lie angle on my irons and going slightly flatter on wedges made sense since they are short clubs with higher lofts. Standard lie angles was making me pull too much since I swing shallow on most of my wedges.

    Be careful with heating ferrules with a torch or heat gun. You can stiffen the feels to much and cause it to distort when installing it.

    Here is a thought to for older golfers who may live their clubs but cannot get much out of them like they used to. Re-shaft to senior shafts. I got into club making way back in the 80s. Now I just do things with and for my clubs, what I want to experiment with. Sometimes I will help someone if they really need it. Most golfers have too stiff of a flex to the shafts. Seriously, if your swing speed has not been checked in a while, it is worth popping into a mega golf store and having quick analysis. If you are in the 80s, a senior flex can really help you get height and distance. I used R flex when my swing was in the 90s. Sure, lots of folks said you need a stiff. No I did not. I tried both and the R gave me the best distance. Same for the senior flex now. I also use a 3W, 5W, 7W and 9W. My irons start at 7. Swing easy, hit farther and more consistently. It works. Happy golfing trails all.

    Hi can you add an after market counter balance weight to the butt end to help lower the swing weight and make the head feel lighter?

    • @gavinkh6658
      @gavinkh6658 9 місяців тому

      I also dont get it? Adding weight to the butt will move the balance point closer to your hands but you are adding more mass that has to be accelerated in the total system. Counter balance does not "counter" mass... just the balance point?

    Adding lead tape changes the feel depending where lead tape is placed. Better to drill a hole in the hosel and stuff , poly stuffing (cushion filling). The poly stuffing spreads out evenly within the club head cavity. ie doesnt significantly change the COG of the clubhead as lead tape or 'melt' does

    Awesome video- just a couple clarifying questions for us newbies: 1) Is this the same process if using on a .355 shaft which the ferrule was designed for? 2) Obviously, wouldn’t need to bore the ferrule out, but would you still heat in boiling water? 3)What’s the best way to remove the old ferrules? 4) Do you epoxy the ferrules in place against the club head, or just the club head (as usual)? 5) What did you mean at the end of the video by “once it dries all I have to do is turn that ferrule down”? Thank you for your clarification!
