DUAL COLOR DRIVING LIGHTS | Auxbeam P4 Install & Review
In this video I'll be installing and reviewing Auxbeam's P4 Dual Color Driving lights.
Auxbeam was kind enough to reach out and ask if I wanted to check out any of their products so I took a look and was intrigued by these driving lights.
I'm a sucker for amber lights so I figured having the flexibility of both colors would ultimately make things easier.
They come with a prefabricated wiring harness that makes install and set up a breeze though I did add an additional relay so they would shut off with the cars ignition.
Installation was pretty straight forward even though on the Subaru it meant removing the bumper that actually wasn't too hard at all in my case.
The results as you can see in the video are pretty great. They are very bright so make sure to aim them properly. I look forward to seeing how they hold up over time, and I certainly feel a lot better, especially driving the van in poor conditions.

SIMPLE DUAL BATTERY SETUP | ( Auxiliary / House Battery Camper Van Overlanding)

Dual battery systems have come a long way. I've used a middle of the road setup that cost 6-700 dollars in my Subaru, an expensive set up that cost close to $1,500 and now I'll show you one of the cheaper options that cost around $400. I put this house battery setup in my buddies Chevy Express van, 'cause it gets used as a part time camper van on occasion and he wanted extra power to charge ele...

    Thx for this simple explanation. So I use a power station to run most of what I need but I’d like to do this to dedicate to my mini split AC. So instead of wiring to a fuse panel I would simply connect that appliance the same way right? Thx

    Dose it have to be a deep cycle battery and how would I put an inverter on that deep cycle

    • @DonnieDispersed
      @DonnieDispersed 12 днів тому

      @@Hunter__14 For using to power things with the engine off it needs to be a deep cycle. A regular battery will be ruined quickly by the constant draining and recharging. Adding an inverter is easy, just wire it up to the battery directly. Not through a fuse block.

    If you are going to do any off roading ? Do not buy the trail Terrains… I live on a hillside Coffee farm ( Hawaii). My wife car is a Jeep Compass Trailhawk…we added these BFG Trail Terrains…at first I thought the Jeep compass 4x4 was not effective…tires worn out after 10,000 miles, we were slipping and sliding going up the hill…especially raining days.. Once we replace with BFG KO2s …”Wow” ..huge difference…we rarely slip and slide…tons more traction.! If you are going to do any off roading ? Stay away from the Trail terrains and go with the BFG KO2 or KO3 ..both offer the same mileage warranty..yet the KO2 will offer better traction! Note we have Tundra 4x4 and TRD Tacoma both with BFG KO2s…no problems…

    GREAT VIDEO! You presented the issue of firearms perfectly. Personally, I choose to carry for my own safety. A medium-large dog is the perfect camping companion for safety. Bear Spray is great to ward off nuisance animals, but not aggressive animals determined to do you harm. Like you say, people are the biggest problem when camping. I too like to go deep distancing myself from all the shenanigans. I've never really had any bear problems with Black Bears. However, Grizzly Bears are born with a "chip on their shoulder" and will help themselves to you and whatever you have.

    What if your car does water crossing? Wouldn't that short the battery mounted undercarriage?

    • @DonnieDispersed
      @DonnieDispersed Місяць тому

      The mounting location of the second battery is very much dependent on the vehicle and use case. For this van, the battery was mounted there for simplicity sake, and because it was an option from the factory it made sense. If water crossings were an obstacle I may have chosen a different location. However the van doesn’t see more than a rough forest road so water crossing isn’t of much concern.

    get a coffee filter and wet it and then wrap it around the base of your press. It will also help filter the water and make a paper block in the water leak as you pour the coffee out.
