Donnie. Came across your video on the CTEK. This is exactly what I was hoping to find. I am handy but when it comes to electrical I am in the dark. My question is this.
With a deep cycle battery, my buddy said to only discharge it to 50% and then it needs recharged to avoid permanent damage. Would I need to install a volt meter to keep an eye on the auxiliary battery? If the volt meter was hooked up to the auxiliary battery, wouldn’t it always be pulling a small load continuously due to the LED screen?
What would the voltage be at 50% discharge? I think batteries fully charged are like 12.8 or 13 volts right?
This auxiliary battery would only be powering some LED lights and some DC fans in the bed of my truck for my search and rescue K9.
I do have a few questions so not sure if you have other means of communication if you don’t mind. Thanks for posting the informative video my friend!!!

Yes, fully charged would be around 12.8 to 13 V. When it gets to say 12.4 - 12.1 you’ll want to start having it recharge.
You can pretty easily find volt meters that have on off switch. Or wire a toggle switch in line so you can turn it off yourself.
