Best west coast surf bait is blood worms. Use one of those pyramid weights to keep terminal gear stationary as the smell lutes the fish in. You need a stout rod to handle the two or three ounce sinker. Usually it's a waiting game. That's why a chair and spike for the rod are part of the usual equipment.
Used to have a home in Tierra Del Mar. I love that beach and still fish it. It's always been a little hit and miss. The trick for surf perch is keep moving till you find them. Another place that's reasonably close is Wade Creek or Moolach just south of Depoe Bay. You've got a new sub since you fished TDM.
Well this was an unexpected choice of vehicles I would have thought you'd get. Looking forward to seeing what you do with it. Try fishing where there's less waves. Usually where an undertoe would be. At least you caught 2. ps Congrats on the 5,ooo subs
Great filming! The shots of you fishing with the waves coming in were spectacular! I haven't been to the Beach yet this year and I miss it! I lived in Lincoln City for 10 years in the 80's before the casinos came in and increased the tourists and I miss it so much! It's just not the same place anymore. Thank you for sharing!
Thanks for watching! There's a few links for what gear in used in the description 👍 And thanks for 5k subscribers! More adventures to come!

Remy zoomies!!! Dude, the night footage was absolutely stunning!
Thank you! My first time trying a night time lapse I was pleased with how it turned out.
