The only thing about America, specifically the state I live in, is the fact that I can’t get locked away for enjoying consuming a plant that does me no harm. Marijuana laws in China are super strict which is crazy considering they were one of the first cultures that were known to consume marijuana. But I’ve always been interested in Chinese culture and I love the landscape. And I understand their concern with drug use due to the black market history of the opium industry there, but I don’t know.. just don’t understand why governments lump all that stuff together. The herb is a healing thing.

I’m from Singapore. Fly around the world for work. Been to the US countless times. The us is a great place to visit and enjoy for a while, but I just can’t see myself living there. I’m too used to feeling safe, having kids showing respect to elders, people being considerate. Clean transportation, safe streets to walk at night. I think alot of Americans are stuck in the past and ironically have a closed mindset and still think their way of life is the best or the only way.

America always brags about the freedom. They dont know what real freedom is until they move to live in China. Most of the time you feel very safe and you are free to leave home at nights. Camera everywhere, so you're sure the bad guys will get arrested and get brutally justiced.

China is fairly safe if we want to compare it to the states, but do note that there are still bad people around. Do not be complacent. The rate of child abduction is still quite high, however much better than lower tier cities.
