Excellent progress.
What did you do about the passenger side lower control arm mount?
The Mustang is really coming together nicely, good work guys!
@xozindustries7451 thanks, we are having a blast doing it
Glad to see Father& Daughter working together to fix up a old classic. We need more of that in this world!!!
@@OKHall I totally agree, plus I believe I'm helping to keep the hobby alive with the next generation
Wow @hammersgarage! Coooool!
Car guys are great.
Just got back from the workshop and this popped up (well it's a day later here in Austria, but). Nice to see some progress and even nicer are the bits you got from QA1. I've been through a similar route on my 64 Comet although I stayed with the (uprated) springs and roller bearing spring perches which I got from Melvin's Classic Ford Parts (they're in Conyers GA, family business with great service if you need stuff). Shocks (black Bilsteins) I got from Mike Maier Racing and then fitted a 1-1/4" thick sway bar (also from Melvin). What I also did was the Shelby drop (Google it) and at the rear I got a Panhard rod set-up and springs again from Mike Maier. Goes without saying I renewed all the balljoints and track arms. Massive change, my car does not go round corners like a drunken Buffalo anymore!
The braising of the car versus wire welding is a fantastic point. I like how you point out the prior damage. Put on I like above all else we get to see your father daughter team working to restore this car. Family is so important. You two are having a great family time. 👍
Thanks! I'm glad you enjoyed it. I'm happy I get to spend time with my daughter.
@@flatbrokegarage It shows!
Well it didn't hurt my feelings matter of fact I thought it was extremely funny and well she is getting that car look better and should be reliable and that's good and now I got a look at your blue car you been building and it looks good that color and them dark looking windows not sure if you tinted them or not but WOW
Now the mustang is moved out of my shop, I'll be cak on the blue Torino. Hope to get a video out on it in August. Thanks for watching!
shined up nicely
Thanks!

Awesome job I 2 slowly but surely you 2 r getting there hell yeah
l Love the project I was an inside warehouse fork lift operator and outside used a 15 ton capacity Forklift for 31 years. My daughter works in a warehouse now as well. Great to see a Father and daughter working on a project.
Thanks! I was a heavy equipment operator for 36 years, I guess it's in the jeans. My daughter just picked it up naturally. I'm so proud of her. She never shies away from hard work. Part of the reason I'm giving her the car. Thanks for watching
If you haven't already done your sound deadening......I suggest you use Frost King, furnace duct wrap from Lowes. It does the same job as Dynomat, but half the cost. If you do the roof, or inside the doors, I suggest using some spray adhesive just for a little insurance that will hold hold for a longer time. But if you just doing the floor, get about 3 rolls. ($25 a roll). That will do your identity floor. I used aluminum tape on all my seams, but that isn't necessary.
Great info! I have the killmat for the floors. But I'm definitely going to try that. Thanks!
Those shock towers at the frame rail are still good because someone dug out all the factory seam sealer sometime in the past that traps all the salt and water under it. The seam sealer I dug out of mine was to the top of the frame lip.
That makes sense. I've never seen a mustang so clean. And it sat outside for over 20 years. We got so lucky
I’m amazed at the transformation so far and how good the car looks. Just goes to show you what you can do with a little elbow grease. Great job!
Thanks! We both really love the car. It's slowly getting there
Awesome dad and daughter project! Building cars and memories! Looking forward to more of this project with you both.
Thanks, we are having a blast. Can't wait to see her driving it
Nice upgrade, Bill. Looking forward to seeing it on the road
Thanks! Think I'm going that route with my Torino now. Great parts
What a great way to start my weekend, another great FBG video!
Thanks!
I love your daughter. She's so cute in every way.
She is a very hard-working girl. Earned everything she has
Those QA1 shocks look like some nice gear.
They sure are. Probably worth more than the car. Can't wait to try them out
I think your daughter is Awesome and I like her tough girl attitude 😊
She's a blast to work with. We do have fun. We truly do
Some awesome upgrades there!
Thanks! We had fun
Great to see you back Ashley working with Pop's. That will be a sweet ride when you guys are done.
I'm looking forward to it myself. Should be a fun car for her
coming along nicely
Looks like flux core welds. Gas will make your life so much easier. Love the car, and it's awesome that you're working on it with your daughter.
Yep, good eye. I ran out of gas and all I had left was the old flux core wire
My welding makes your welding look beautiful. Don’t sweat it. If it hold the hood up, you got it made! The rest? That’s what they make “mud” for!
Sure was good to see you and Ashley working together on the Mustang. Lots of room in that car to work on. Hoping to see more.
I hope the engine and transmission are next. Perhaps in a month or so
Hi Ashley grate job on the stanng
Bill love the progress on the stang . Best dad ever your a good man Bill
Thanks, it's easy when you have great kids
Good work team Flat Broke see you next time.
That spring looks easy to install I could probably do it myself 😊
Much better than the death spring compressor 😆
A little dab will do you.
That's so ez a cave man could do it.
Floor looks gooder with the paint you're child applied
We got so luckily with this car
Considering where it came from and long it sat there it's in amazing good shape for the shape it's in
It definitely is
Looks like the ole stang has some good bones.
It ain't pretty as long as it don't fall off it will be fine.
Weld err up dude 😎
Thanks for the update
Needs a bigger hammer
Skin err back make err kack. 😊
Thanks Qa1 for the awesome help for our friend's at flat broke garage.

😆 life with a muscle car 😆
Howdy
WOW 😮👍
It’s too bad it wasn’t a 2 door model. Back in the day I saw one with a 429 that could get up and go. Is this worth saving I’d say not. At best a good parts car! Too much rust! I parked my jeep several years ago whether on gravel or ground and the vehicle rusted very quickly. If you’re going to park a vehicle keep it on asphalt or concrete or double tarp on a slant; and cover it. Also put moth balls around it because mice and rodents do havoc on vehicles especially in barns. Just my opinion.
In the first video I saved a nice 2 door Falcon. I think it's a keeper
When is the video coming out?😂
@@geoffreyb3337 Friday
There was a video made by the channel “Turnin Rust” made a month ago that they went to this vehicle and got it started and drove it a little. Hopefully it’ll be restored to its former glory
Yes, I helped Lance and Wyatt out with the car. I'm in the beginning of the video. He has big plans for it I understand. Thanks for watching!
