Glad to see that Nova being saved! Both of my older brothers had Novas growing up. They were always modifying them. I'm now 42 and it's still my dream to build my own. Life unfortunately didn't go as planned just like everyone else. But some day
After watching this, I now see the biggest difference between yours and the 74 that I had. Mine was Standard everything. Steering, brakes, shifting....all of it was the basic Standard package. I didn't have AC, either, so mine didn't have the unit taking up space on the Firewall. Being that mine was Standard, I didn't have the wiring nightmare like this one. They may look the same, but that's about it as far as similarities. Just looking at this one, though, brings back great memories for me. Not just memories of the car, but ones of the era as well. This world of today is very different compared to 37 years ago. My biggest memory involves a $20 bill. Back then(1986), I could fill my tank, buy a returnable bottle of Mountain Dew(10 cent deposit), a bag of BBQ Chips and a pack of Winstons and still have change coming back. That same $20 bill won't even get me 1/4 tank of gas today. Shoot, it would barely be enough to get the drink, chips and cigarettes of today. lol
Funny you mention that, I always kept $20 in mad money because i never had a gas card, but sometimes came home from a sunday road trip and wondered how was i going to afford gas to get home. a twenty in the console pretty much guaranteed getting home and maybe filling the belly until then. hope they can also save that 3rd gen cranberry Mustang coupe that was sitting next to the Nova.

Top Gear showed one they even left overnight in the ocean they hauled it out got the water out of it and they started it right up. Also they parked it at the top of a 12 story building they demolished the frame was twisted but they got that engine to run. Great that the Nova was able to run and drived with the new drive train.
