Ariel Rider X-Class 52v Hill Climb Test ! Will it make it up ?
I liked mine till l fell off... Not do much now.. Got a black eye, messed up knee, and have a ace bandage on my wrist
Ouch that sounds like it hurt ! I hope you recover and feel better soon !
I just got same electric skateboard for free at my best friend but only thing is that front truck is broken but it's only 50 bucks but I'm Finnish so I have to wait next summer daam.
This is the video test I wanted to see. I bought a Portola for my girl friend to ride to work 5 miles one way. I think it will be alright. I bought the Fold 1 for myself and wanted to see how the Portola compaired t the fold one. I'll have to wait for a few day for it to deliver to see.
Can I put pneumatic tires in a hub motor like a meepo v5 ?
No that really wouldn’t be possible. Hub motors are pretty specific in the types of wheels they can take. Some people have made adapters to bolt on a wheel but the small hubs usually don’t have enough power to make that work
I was looking for new tires and landed here! Any other contenders or recommendations on what to check out for fat tires? What do you think about Kenda
That’s a sick XR dude!🤙FOMF
How did you get the Cover off the front wheel 4:47
If you look closely there’s four holes on the one side that are plugged with little rubber stoppers. You gotta pick those out and there is a screw under each one that holes those plates together.
7:10 that's not a x that's a h for hover-1
thank you dude
i love that scooter
What is the name of the battery? What battery does this scooter take? 8 ahh or 7.8 ahh?
Will you do a throttle only range test? If not what range do you think you would get with throttle only?
Real is called zuum
Do you know what wire to cut to make it faster ?
There is no wire to cut to make it faster on this scooter.
Diddler like super lube u sayyy ?….
Thank you, awesome video, is was very informative and helpful.
Thank you so much ! I’m really glad I could help !
Had your tutorial on repeat today, first time changing my X-Class’ shoes. Very helpful and thorough walkthrough, thanks!
I’m glad to hear it was helpful ! Enjoy the new tires :)
he was missing a bar i have an ariel rider and on flat it will go 40
Are those stock tires? Nice tutorial 👍
No these are the Vee E-Huntsman tires. A pretty great set of tires !
I’ve seen reviews with this bike doing almost 50 miles per hr so ion no what u weigh but anything in the 30’s I’m not riding or buying
This bike will never do 50 mph without modifying it. It’s top speed stock is like 36
Great tutorial thanks. Can you tell us a little about your tyres (they looks like they can take some punishment) and how to replace an inner tube on these fat wheels?
These are the Vee E-Huntsmans! They are a great all round tire and do awesome off-road and can take a lot of abuse. To change an inner tube you just gotta do all the steps I showed in the video to remove the wheel. Let ALLL of the air out of the tube and the tire will get loose on the rim. After this you push the inner tube stem through the rim and you can just pull the tube out of the tire. Check out my tire change video and you’ll see how I was able to get the tire and tubes out ! It’s not hard at all, the hardest part is just taking all the screws and nuts off to remove your wheel.
@@MeedersPEVS Very good - thanks for the heads up on the videos.
Thank you for the tutorial man! I’ve been planning to grease my motor hub and the only tutorial I saw was one from 2 years ago. This is really helpful. Question though - Ariel Rider told me that the recommended grease to use is the “White Lithium Grease.” Any thoughts on that?
That’s not a bad option to go with it is a decent grease that will work on the motor. But I think that tends to dry out quicker and after a while of riding isn’t doing much. I’m pretty sure that’s what they use in the motors from the factory but when I took the motor apart there really wasn’t much of that grease left on the gears and teeth.
I want one of these
Start saving up !! You can find some good deals on marketplace especially for a pint
I laugh everytime I see someone on one of those overpriced pieces of garbage
Why do you say that ? I’ll admit they are most definitely way overpriced but the fun makes it worth it !
@@MeedersPEVSi can agree with you they are over priced
Nice run out!
Thanks for watching! Subscribe if you’re new to the channel ❤️
I've been thinking about getting some of these for the meepo voyager. Looks like a fun ride as well.
Thinking about some AT wheels ? They are definitely awesome for doing some good offroad cruising and hitting the trails. They definitely will shorten your range a lot but worth it for the rides !
@@MeedersPEVS I really am. There's a trail in Connecticut that is really cool but the path is lopsided and rough. After a hour with cloud wheels, my feet had the message of a life time 😅 I go on another trail that's called the southwick rail trail that you can easily go 20 miles or more but it would be nice to try out other trails. I've been riding for about 4 years but I still don't come across a lot of riders, maybe because the boards are still very expensive
I say you should go for it ! The cloudwheels are awesome and they can go over a lot but the difference between clouds and all terrain wheels is night and day ! And it sucks you haven’t found many other riders. Check your Facebook for local PEV groups. That’s the best way to find people to ride with. Honestly I feel like Electric skateboards are the most rare thing to see people riding. There are so many bike and scooter riders and even a lot of onewheelers but I never see people on boards ! If you’re ever up near Pittsburgh I’d love to cruise with ya !
Zooming! Just recently unlocked mine to 30mph but that’s more then enough for commuting in New York City & to keep up with traffic if needed
That’s awesome ! It’s such a great bike unlocked I’m sure ot would be perfect for the New York traffic !
Hurry up
Rad review! I'm using this bike as a 2nd e-bike for family and friends on the beach. I live in a beach town that has hills and e-bikes are essential. The portola keeps up w my Murf Alpha for my friends n fam to ride alonside.
👏
Do i need to immediately charge after buying it?
@@shadyapp7416 yeah that would be best. Get it all fully charged up before the first use
@@MeedersPEVS thanks dear
Does it have wobble and make your bike vibrate?
No my bike doesn’t. It rides extremely smooth. Are you having that issue ?
I got mine to charge but can’t get it to turn on.
Is it the same model as mine ? If so there should be a way to do a reset and get it to kick back on
thank you!!! so helpful.
I'm 400lbs, I can get my grizzly to 34.5 mph...
Would like to share my riding comparison between Velotric Fold 1 and one of its cheaper major competitors like Ride1Up Portola. Both ebikes I purchased very recently and pedal them about 80 mi each before providing w/ this info. Once I switched Velotric F1 to class 3 e-bike (allowing 28mph when pedal-assisting) most importantly than the max speed is actually how the torque power changed successfully for every PAS level. What happened is described very briefly - every one PAS level even otherwise the not noticeable PAS 1 or 2 increased its power when pedaling, and became so noticeable that I was able to pedal variety of terrains, including very short but steep uphills only using Velotric F1 PAS 1, incomparable advantage over Portola. Later even switched to Class 3 from Class 2 e-bike operation is forcing me going up steep hills especially to switch to PAS4 or 5 in order pedaling to get over the hill without much effort. The same observation is valid comparing Velotric F1 with other cheaper competitors like Aipas A2 and Lectruc XP 3.0 step-thru e-bikes. Being able to pedal practically everywhere without the need to switch to higher more-battery consuming PAS level or throttle - the outcome pedaling and saving more battery from discharge longer than Portola, Aipas A2 and Lectric XP step-thru.
I would be concerned about efficiency I actually pedal my bike for maximum efficiency during long rides
If that’s what you’re most concerned about for your ride there are definitely better options. Like the Vee Speedsters or there’s a lot of good lighter tire options out there !
Im looking at getting my first onegweel there a cheap gt with like 100 miles or aould i get a pint
I’d definitely get a GT even if it’s more expensive. More room for your feet. More comfortable ride and way more range and speed. The pint is a fun way to get into onewheeling but you’ll be left wanting more.
Ok thanks
you never go straight tryina balance on a curb but you’ll go straight as an arrow without trying or realizing going down the road…
That’s just the way it goes !
Can't do a wheelie on one wheel though
It’s always a wheelie on the onewheel !
Where was the wheelie? You went up the same way and stayed the same way the whole video
LMAO ! I think They should Find another Name for STREET WHEELS they are the WORST for Street riding !
Street riding is really all you’ll do with street wheels ! They definitely aren’t as comfortable as some of the other options. But, a nice pair of street wheels on some smooth new asphalt feels better than anything you get so much grip.
What board is that
Its called a onewheel
@@wombatzombat2652 thx
Yes it’s a onewheel XR !

Great content 👍🏾👌🏾
I appreciate it ! Thanks for coming by and watching !
Is this the 220 lb spring or 210 lb spring?
Mine was the 550lb spring that was the only options when I got it. If I were to pick any option now I’ll probably get a 350 if they have it
@@MeedersPEVS thank you for quick response
I get 36 on mine. I weigh 160lb
How do you like the V Huntsman? Any balancing issues with the tires? How did it affect range of the X-Class? Thanks!
I absolutely love my huntsman’s I had no issues balancing them or any sort of vibration or wobble on the road. The ride true and smooth. I did loose some range. I would say about 3-5 miles per charge. It’s kinda hard to tell since there are so many variables that go into it. But they are a heavier tire that does require more work to get going. But they can also coast really well so it all depends on how you ride your bike.
if youre getting 15 miles you gotta have something wrong with your battery im getting at least 30 with those tires
I live in a very hilly area and am pretty much always full throttle or going offroad through trails which can really kill the battery quick
