    Wow literally the video I was looking for, I’d like to see a side by side drag race using all 3 types of weels on the same type of board

      Thanks so much ! These Lakais are awesome they have super great grip on the board and are pretty comfortable for being flat skate shoes !

    Best bang for buck for 6061 or 7075 alum/alloy hubs/rims for wider contact patch for 8" 200x50 tires?

    With all this selection of wheels it is crazy how hard it is in reality to actually find anywhere that has any wheels at all in stock.
    It would be nice to find just any set of wheels. Probably be easier to go to the hardware store and adapt a set of lawnmower wheels at this point.
    Does anyone in North America have any wheels? All I ever find is out of stock or dead end blank internet pages.

      Honestly there’s plenty of wheels that are for sale and in stock on Amazon. That would be a good place to start looking.

    I found that the cloudwheels small contact patch was a problem. especially with bumpy terrain or like the bumps that are on sidewalks before crossings to let the partially sighted know where they are. anything that bumps the wheels up and off the ground and that means less time in contact with the ground and they will slide out on you. also, small contact patch just means less grip practically. I know it also means increased pressure on that spot, but as soon as you start to slide, theres nothing else on the wheel to stop you and as they say, sliding friction is easier to overcome than rotational. having said that, they're predictably slidey on the flats and as with everything, half the battle is just knowing this. I would rather ride them around here in pothole city, than the usual street PU's of course... but I stuck with airless 150s or 165s.

    I have ridden the 105mm Cloud wheels they are best for rough uneven terrains but boring on flat smooth surface. I mostly ride with the 85mm Caguama 77a Light Blue for all types of surface condition....they are more fun & challenging especially on hard sand & gravels. I think the next wheel I would love to try is the 80mm Kegel 83A Purple for my Tynee Ultra 12S. The smaller the better I guess. ⚡

      Yeah I’ve heard great things about the orangutan wheels I’ve wanted to try them out I just don’t have the correct pulley setup for them yet ! I bet those 80mm wheels would be a blast on the Tynee !

    Urethane larger sizes like 97MM + can run over lot of rocks no problem. Just need enough speed to spit it out the side. Bad for Parked Cars though :)

      Oh most definitely still gotta be mindful of what you’re riding on with street wheels, even some of the larger sizes!

      agreed. as long as you can ride with confidence. With my normal board, hard 52s can cope with a lot of stuff, youve just gotta have the confidence and know your board :)

    a little advice from my experience although it is not required. when you ride your belt drive electric skateboard especially on gravel or small stones and at a certain point you hear a small noise it means that you have hit a stone which can thicken the belt, so don't brake or accelerate let the board stop by only then can you remove the rock or whatever is stuck there. this way you save on straps 😌, (I've broken a lot of straps lately and this hurts 🤣😂)

    • @ShadrikEaston
      @ShadrikEaston 7 місяців тому

      also, belt guards actually ruin more belts than removing them cos stones get stuck in there and shred your belts up.
