I need some further explanation of Matthew 18 that you quoted. I've had a Protestant tell me that we don't need confession because of this verse, where you take your sins to your brother.... If you resolve the sin then you have gained a brother... How should I response to this? Thank you

Great video! It's amazing to reflect on the awesomeness of the God of Creation, who, despite His grandeur, remains deeply mindful and caring for us. As Hebrews 2:6-7 says, 'What is mankind that you are mindful of them, a son of man that you care for him? You made them a little lower than the angels; you crowned them with glory and honor.' If we take the scriptures as the inspired Word of God, then we are on the right road to our heavenly destiny. The problem with Catholicism is they add so much to it that it dilutes the Gospel and sidetracks those who would accept the truth. You mentioned the church quite often. I assume that you mean the Catholic church. God has put all things in subjection under His feet, and gave Him as head over all things to the church, which is His body, which are those in Christ and not an institution. If this only means that Catholics are in Christ and anyone else who are not Catholics are not in Christ, then you need to prove that Catholics are the ones who have the truth. You do well in citing scriptures, but you cite others who have no authority that comes down from heaven, including the reformers.

Wow, he's a good salesman. If I were an Eskimo, I'd be purchasing his ice blocks. Dear Catholic, I speak as a former devout Catholic who became born again in spirit 10 years ago. Please, please don't study doctrine before you pick up a Bible and read it cover to cover. The Bible is your measuring stick for truth. Jesus and the apostles warned us that there would be many wolves in sheep's clothing. Jesus repeatedly told us to hear Him and obey Him. Please, if you keep yourself simple-minded, then you're like a sheep to the slaughter in this world. I never read the Bible until I was 39. I was astonished to find out the Jesus and Mary in the scriptures are very different than I had been taught in my Catholic schools by the priests and nuns. Please, I beg of you to consider first that Jesus gave us much warning about false Christ's and false doctrine. He warned us the most about hell. I know the Catholic Church is NOT going to lead you to eternity in heaven. Rather, she is Satan's religion that is deceiving the simple. The devil knows people are born under sin and that our sin nature makes us naturally reject God and His word. I've never met a Catholic who has read the Bible, let alone annually their whole Catholic life. God did give us a conscience. We all have a natural yearning to be with our Creator. Please pray to God for His truth. I promise you that He'll take you up on that if you are sincere. If you do pray for Him to lead you unto all truth...then, buckle up. Because, facing God's truth is a real maturing process. You'll shake off the shackles of religion if you come to Jesus and believe on Him, trusting only in His finished work at the cross...plus nothing else. It is with a childlike faith and trust, that God accepts. God does not accept your sincerity. He will only accept His Son's perfect sinless blood as a propitiation for your sins. The RCC will tell you to be a good person and go to mass, but God says no one is good. So, instead of filling your head with all this religious doctrine, Jesus is calling for you to come to Him with a totally surrendered heart and leave your good works and merits behind. Even if you've tried so hard to be a good person, obedient, and good to others, and even if you have suffered much by abuse by others....God still wants for us to know there's nothing in us that can earn His favor. He only accepts Jesus' shed blood. If you turn to Him with repentance and belief that Christ died on the cross for your sins..then you will be born again. Eph 1:6-7 To the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein he hath made us accepted in the beloved. In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace;". I must testify that once I started reading the scriptures which revealed all my sins even before I got to the NT, I experienced some real "dark night of the soul" moments. Thankfully, God sent a real Christian to tell me about the spiritual battle for my soul. It is real! As soon as I confronted the fact that the devil had fooled me into worshipping false deities, all hell came at me. Thank God I prayed to God for deliverance. I am not kidding, but I dry heaved and had a number of episodes of diarrhea after I started repenting towards God of having served Catholic Mary and the Saints. Those devils scared me, but I had a Bible with me and only God's word makes them go away. I asked Jesus to rebuke all these devils tormenting me. I was delivered of a major stronghold religion had on me. It's truly evident, as I see the Catholics who are most devout with praying the rosary and taking the Eucharist...these folks are the hardest to win to Christ. These folks start screaming if you confront their Queen of Heaven. These folks have the most pride. If you think you have not yet trusted the gospel that saves (1 Cor 15:1-4), then start praying to God for His mercy and deliverance. Get yourself a King James Bible. Test the spirits with it. You'll soon find out that the spirits do not want that Bible in your hands. I challenge you. Read aloud Jeremiah 17:9-10, Read Romans 3, etc... John 1,...The devils hate those verses a lot! Vomiting, diarrheah, screaming, rage, etc...may ensue even if you're the sweetest person around.

Maybe the devil thought his kingdom of hell was his alternative exalted vocation where he really was Lord over his own kingdom. Those in hell serve the devil imitating the saints in an inverted way who serve the Lord in heaven. The angel's permanent exile caused the Lord's permanent loss of extrinsic glory, causing God a permanent loss. In this way the devil did gain some victory over God. The mystery of iniquity does include the divine participation in the loss of angels who permanently fell into perdition.

The question I am left scratching my head now with, what is the prime mover that moves one to envy if made sinless. Back to Freewill? The absence of the beatific vision would indicate that each creature is given a test to essentially accept God's will or reject it. Thus, the test is to trust God but without having full knowledge of what it means to not trust in God. It is said that the angels were not able to repent but man has a finite life to repent. These are just my random thoughts.

Great video. The only thing I disagree with is that you briefly talked about Adam and Eve eating the fruit. I truly believe that entire passage was telling us that Satan seduced Eve and she bore Cain. That's why punishment for eating the fruit God punished women with incredible pain during child birth, and Adam would have to work terribly hard to provide for the family. How does that make sense as punishments if it's not telling us Satan seduced Eve? This is the enmity between the two seeds.

I am very blessed in my Protestant church, but the denial of the crucifix is just silly. I think the biggest reason we don't like seeing the crucifix is because that image confronts and convicts us every time we see it. People don't like being forced to look at Jesus as he takes the punishment meant for them. They'd rather think of the happy, cheery Disney Jesus. And I think that ties into the prosperity gospel and progressive Christianity. We want to be held and coddled like the lamb in the good shepherd painting. But seeing Christ crucified and facing the real consequences of your sin? Well, that might just transform your life.

I wish Catholics online actually wanted to do something productive. If I was Catholic and wanted to reach others I would first focus on getting Catholics to actually return to going to Mass regularly and doing God’s will . all research shows majority of Catholics need help and focus too much on the worldly things . The word "anti" in antichrist does not mean someone who is going to be openly anti (against) Christ. That word "anti" in the original Bible language can actually mean "IN PLACE OF". So could the bible antichrist be someone who has actually put himself "in place of" Christ? Well, we have further Bible evidence to support this. In 1 John 2:18-19 it says that there were "many antichrists", who "WENT OUT FROM THE CHURCH". In other words, John is pointing to the fact that those "antichrists" were WITHIN THE CHURCH!! Not only that, but Paul in 2 Thess. 2:3-4 calls the man of sin the "son of perdition". Now there is only one other place in the Bible where the name "son of perdition" is used, and that is in John 17:12 talking about JUDAS! And what was Judas? A professing follower of Christ Jesus. Someone who deceived from WITHIN the "church". "The leader of the Catholic church is defined by the faith as the Vicar of Jesus Christ (and is accepted as such by believers). The Pope is considered the man on earth who TAKES THE PLACE of the Second Person of the omnipotent God of the Trinity." (John Paul II, Crossing the Threshold of Hope, p. 3, 1994). "ANTI" - Christ = "IN PLACE OF" Christ!

Belief and faith means to believe what He says AND to do what he says. He teaches many things and commands many things. If you don't DO them then you show you don't actually "believe" Him nor have faith in Him. You are under self deception. 1 John 1 and 2. To exit the Old Covenant, one must submit to the New Covenant, and it is in the blood of the cup and in His flesh He gives us. The Covenant is between the Father and the church of the apostles and Christ is the mediator. The church dispenses the graces of Christ for the sole reason of receiving the command to do so. He left a living breathing body on earth, not a pocket New Testament. The church produced the New Testament documents... not the other way around. We can choose to be partakers of that Covenant by joining it. But we cannot hijack it and claim it for ourselves or manipulate it or change it whatsoever. It is in His church and nowhere else. The one holy apostolic and Catholic Church of the apostles that was breathed on and sent by Christ with authority. This is the bread which comes down from heaven, that a man may eat of it and not die. I am the living bread* which came down from heaven; if any one eats of this bread, he will live for ever; and the bread which I shall give for the life of the world is my flesh.” The Jews then disputed among themselves, saying, “How can this man give us his flesh to eat?”* So Jesus said to them, “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of man and drink his blood, you have no life in you; he who eats my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life, and I will raise him up at the last day. In my nearly 6 years of trying to better understand justification, I found the article to be, perhaps, the most thorough, concise and useful treatments of the topic I have found to date. Does the catholic church believe that Christ is one person of three persons n the godhead? If she's the mother of God, is she also the mother of Yahweh and The Holy Spirit? If she is a perpetual virgin, is she still a virgin after conceiving Jesus' half brothers and sisters? What is the scriptural reference that shows that Mary is the mother of God? BTW, there is no scriptural reference to show that Jesus ever called her "mother". "The mother of my Lord" are English words Elizabeth didn't speak English. Also, there are many verses that are not to be taken literally. Jesus was fully God, and fully human. But it impossible for God to have a mother. Mary was the "fully human" side of Jesus" bearer. The second person of the Godhead existed from all eternity. Where was Mary then? Jesus had 3 hinges attached to His side. Where is that in the bible? It's in John 10:9-10, where Jesus said, "I am the door". Where are the NT verses that reference 2 Kings when describing the status of Mary? So, for 400 years, everyone missed Mary's position, no one, not even Jesus spoke about it, and then along comes Emperor Theodosius II. So, Jesus didn't think it was necessary for us to know about her importance, but Theodosius did.

When Paul wrote "not to go beyond what is written" (1Cor 4,6), that time the New Testament was not yet written. He was referring to the Old Testament scriptures, not to go beyond those scriptures, that is, beyond what we can prove through typological interpretation of Old Testament scriptures. If we can prove it through typology, then it is O.K.

Wow, I just has this revelation, Jesus said He came to fulfil the 10 commandants and it took me so long to understand what he was telling us, He was only the one who passed 10 commandant to open the door to Heaven on Earth after spending 3 days in Hell and He closed that gate temporarily until judgement day. Good video. But, Baptismal Regeneration is more of a tool for denominational triage. Everything you say is true on what scripture and the church taught about Baptism, but those teachings are found in the Anglican, Lutheran, Catholic, and Orthodox churches. You'll need other topics to further triage down the denominations to only Catholicism. It does thin the heard though.

The typology of King Solomon/his queen mother and Jesus/His mother Mary is so laughable. Why? It's because according to the Bible's section of 1 Kings 2:13-25, not only Solomon denied his queen mother's intercession even though just before that Solomon said he would not refuse her request, Solomon further executed the person who had asked the queen mother to intercede! So come on now Catholics, do you really want to take your chance of getting executed by Jesus for believing you likely get what you want by asking Mary to intercede for you?! HAHAHA...😂😂😂... The Catholic church is not what the early church taught. The early church was established when the Holy Spirit was poured out on certain Jews on Pentecost and then on the gentiles and anyone who calls on the name of the Lord. I prescribe to what the scriptures say and not to a catechism nor to what the "saints" have said in the past. What I see taught in the Catholic church is an outward manifestation of a religion and not a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. As far as the sacrifice of the mass it deviates from the Truth of who Christ is who brings salvation to the soul of man. It's not in a wafer(host) that can't do anything for the soul. To believe that bread is the actual flesh of Jesus and the wine is the actual blood is repugnant to say the least. If you drank enough "blood" and then drive home, see where you would end up.

This Pontifax Maximus is elected and holds office for life. The purpose of this office is to be the head and spokesman of the priests of all religions that have temples within the Roman territory, and to represent the opinions of the diviners of the state as the head of their opinions. Is this a title befitting the head of the Christian religion, which serves only one Creator????

An empty cross doesn't imply resurrection. Show me even one of the estimated 100,000+ people that the Romans crucified that is still on their cross. The victims didn't remain on their crosses. With Jesus, there was the good thief and the other one. Even that other one has an empty cross at this point. But the tomb of Jesus is empty. Jesus depicted in a crucifix makes clear which cross and that it is the cross of Jesus we are dealing with. It shows his choice to offer himself for us, enduring excruciating torture to the the point of death, in a manner pointed to from scripture. Can one show a manger scene with Jesus as an infant without being told that Jesus isn't an infant anymore? Why must we only get to depict his absence, and no part of his life prior? If we can show him as an infant or at other stages, then that time on the cross that is so critical to his passion seems very fitting. SO many things pointed to the Passion of Jesus, that it's clear that it should be a focus of our worship and attention.

I wonder how God looks at Protestants constant blasphemy against the Blessed Mother. I’ve heard exorcists say one thing God does not allow the demons to do is to blaspheme His Mother! I think they just intuit that there's something wrong with Roman Catholicism, which there is, but they don't understand what it is, so they grasp for straws and end up inventing an empty religion from scratch.

A “false” Mary? Even if Catholics worshipped Mary, they’re doing so to the one who is the mother of God. Whom else could she be? I kind of think these armchair theologians throw extra adjectives into their rhetoric as little more than virtue signaling, and end up thinking they have sussed out some new point of doctrine. I knew an evangelical who was careful to explain the likes of Vishnu to his understudied friends as “the false god of Hinduism” as if Hindus knew Vishnu was fake but maybe thought Kali was real. And at that point it doesn’t make any sense. And beyond that point we find this “false Mary” and the accidental rediscovery of heresies like “Mary is the mother of human Jesus but not the Second Person of the Trinity.”

The comparisons do prove too much, because Christ’s work intentionally sublimates many themes from Canaanite (and other) paganism. We worship a Son who effectively died as a human sacrifice (Molech), on a pole/pillar (Ishtar) set up in a high place (Baal), and rose from the dead in the spring, no less (Tammuz/Adonis). If the early Jewish Christians had had scruples about external resemblances to paganism, we wouldn’t be here. Our society is also so culturally Christian that we’re kind of numb to the weirdness of the core Christian beliefs. As a result a lot of people take trouble to strain out the gnat of saint-veneration, but they don’t even get heartburn from swallowing the camel of adoring a Man, who also incarnates a previously unheard-of concept of God. We have a very strange and beautiful religion, and we should lean into that instead of effacing it.
