      @gamemasters You remember how we used to enter 5318008 into a calculator and chuckle when we turned it upside-down? Now do that with 304. (I suppose 5304 or 504 would help in this case to get the plural directly.)

    You dont get the card spell for free right, You still have to use a spell slot when you cast it? And when you use it can you then cast 2 spells on your turn?

    • @gamemasters
      @gamemasters 21 годину тому

      If you are referring to the Hidden Ace, yes, that is how I interpret it. To imbue the card, you have to cast the spell into it, chewing up that slot as it's also chewing up your long rest which is when you'd normally replenish your spell slot(s). From that point forward, that spell is then _in_ that card. you then can use a bonus action to flourish the card and "cast" that spell (because it's a bonus action, you can use your main action to do whatever you would normally do). I'd also go so far as to rule that you can replenish that specific spell after another long rest and the Hidden Ace would keep it until you used it (even if weeks or months went by). But.. once it's used, it's just a regular card again.

    I know it's probably a mispronunciation but an "anti-sphere ray" actually sounds like it has a lot of interesting potential! Destroys/counters Flaming Sphere, crystal balls, Resilient Orb, Pearls of Power, and of course other Orbs.... I have been acknowledged...my work here is done! No, but seriously...I think this is the PERFECT example of a Greyhawk Artificer! 3.5's Artificer is perfect for Eberron... And the Gnome Artificer from 2e works great for Forgotten Realms and Dragonlance... ...4E's Artificer is a great video game class idea... 5E's I will always maintain serves only to continue making 5E a "whimsical cartoony" thing... But, I love how much this *works* for Greyhawk as an Artificer! ...now excuse me while I mine this Mag for its content to steal for my 3.5 Eberron Artificer! LMFAO!

    It not an Easter egg, but I ran a Curse of Strahd campaign where the PCs were... Neutral Evil? It ended with them accepting Strahd invitation into his ranks as spies and hunters for worthy prospects of his fun and games. This resulted in. TPK and my players made new characters. As they went through the Misty Peaks, I would have NPCs speak of recent strangers that traveled the land and caused trouble. Then, on the road, the fog came rolling around them and the previous PCs attacked from the most and revealed themselves as the Mischievous Three and they became the Team Rocket of the campaign.

I also include death as an NPC in my games, like when players are making death saving throws they are playing a game with death for their lives and such.

    I wish that instead of combining the Artificer and Firebrand together in modern D&D, that WotC would add the class of the Firebrand into the game...the Alchemical Knight of Armour and Firearms... I would prefer that so much more... Since they wont write setting books explaining why/how things are different from one setting to another (like how Eberron absolutely does not have guns! or how Dragonborn would NOT be welcome in Dragonlance!), the only option is to have them add new classes that fill that role...because this lean on Subclasses from them doesn't do anywhere near enough that 3.x's Feats and Prestige Classes covered and allowed in customising! ...anyway...thats my piece...
