HUGE content update! Where have I been!? | Catalyst, Matryx, Viper & more!
This season has been brutally busy, which is a great thing, but it hasn't left me much time for editing and keeping my content schedule going like I want it to. So to kick off what I hope is me getting back into my normal routine, here's a MASSIVE compilation/update/glimpse of everything I've been up to so far this season!

UPDATE: I somehow missed that the R-XC front track shock is a dual rate setup and not a straight rate 250lb. It has a 170lb tender spring, making for an initial rate of 101lb/in then at the crossover becomes a 250lb. Complaining that an R XC is too stiff? That's what it was built for, to beat the shit out of, smash through whoops, it is supposed to be stiff. If that's not your style don't buy the next best thing to a race sled???

Is it true that Arcticcat is done for? Cat has always had the best looking sleds. I never had problems with mine.

Seems like you had to really work harder to get the 858 set-up close than you did with the 600. Does the 858 feel way faster than the 600?
Brake perch looks same as Polaris maybe Polaris lever would be a good option. The Polaris race lever is sweet
Crazy how flat the cat handles knowing Polaris always has had the best front suspension for a while. Not sure a crossover is meant to be the flattest on the trail. I know the newer sleds sit pretty tall so that also suprises me how flat the cat is. My Axys SKS is not flat and even worse now that I run a Skinz 36" front end on it. Its the opposite of flat corning in the trails but I can still make it work. The trade off is when I am playing off trail, sidehilling and carving is effortless.

How good did you think that Polaris brake was when you broke the chain in the chaincase? I will take the Skidoo brake any day over the Polaris brake just because of that.

Nice to show a small percentage of what it takes to bring products to maturity for the market. The good and the bad without the sales hype and sellers persuasions. Most have very little insight to the process and associated cost with the process. Travel, time, fuel , wear and tear beyond the components. Nice job keep it coming, safe trails !
On the 700 viper, hole saw the inside of the bottom of the pipe. Takes out all of the stuffing inside the stock muffler. Not too loud but makes it sounds nice and raspy

My 858rxc was a dog for the first 200 miles/10hrs. Then it opened up, shifted better, more power, pulls way harder. All this change 7hrs after the break in period. I though my calibration was all screwed up on the clutches, but I appears that it just needed time and hours to break everything in fully. Still some difficultly putting around part throttle to this day but bounds better than before. More I ride it better it gets.
Been a cat guy for years but when i jump on one of my dads doos i can say i love them to. Hey hopefully maybe u will help save cat idk why some people just hate on cat. Raced rode cat since 03 been nothing but good to me. Cat has brought so much to snowmobile world maybe more than any other brand. A arms aluminum tunnels first front engine snowmobile first 2 stroke first to go back to 4 stroke first turbo sled first slide rail suspension first trailing arm suspension. Idk the list goes on. Most terrain race wins than any other manufacturer. Keep doing what ur doing ur honestly is what i like best about ur show don’t listen to The haters lol!!

thank you very much for this in depth comparison, as I am debating alot rn which one to get, as I will use one primarily for cross country racing. I know the RXC should be the clear choice but I was never a fan of the 137 length track and the QS3Rs. Im leaning more towards the 129 sno pro. I currently have a 2019 ZR8000 129 with an RXC rear skid so looking for a sled that feels similar to that but better in every way lol was hoping theyd come with an RXC 129 one small detail you missed too on the RXC is the option to move rearward the centre track shock shaft back (3 mounting holes) to lower it or lower the front end like for ice racing like they have on the cross country race sleds.

What is your camera and microphone setup? I have used a gopro hero 8 and had crackle issues with a lavelier microphone setup in the helmet. I havent found another channel with your quality of footage on trail riding…

Does the 858 require a Shaft Saver like the ProCross did ? or did Cat upgrade the bearing housing behind the brake rotor so the shaft doesn't spin in the shaft ? I have 2000 miles on my 858 r-xc already. So if it needs a shaft saver I need do to it right away.
Did your Catalyst buddie put the clutch wrench back in his pocket or on the sled like a normal person. The infomerical the tune needed that before after run on the same day. It had the belt and spring and weights already any difference there. RXC run 90 plus on hard pack untouched. In your conditions and sled never found out. Still a nice vid but didnt make want the products on feels faster
