Gorgeous build. Small piece of advice, just leave the front axle slider shaft in the tunnel when removing/installing a slide action skid. If you pull the rear bolts you can just push the skid towards the rear and it will fall off the front slider axle. When installing the skid back into the sled, just push the skid back with your feet and pickup the front and slide onto axle. Way easier than trying to get that axle shaft into tunnel around the rivets and stuff while pushing the skid up. Cat actually claims you can pull these skids without loosening the tracks. Almost impossible with the bigger JT wheels though I have found. Awesome build tanner! I switched from a sidewinder to a doo 900r and the doo feels a million times bigger and heavier 😂
I don't know if it's just because this thing is new with legit 0 miles on it or what, but I tried my usual tricks and this whole setup was just really tight even with the stock wheels and adjuster backed all the way out. I know the distance from the driver to the ground up front takes some of the slack away but booyyyy she was tight and the new wheels were definitely tighter. Hopefully the track stretches a bit to make it a little easier in the future! I was able to run this around the field last night and the EPS really does make it feel like a lighter sled. I'm real curious to see how she feels out on trail!
@ they are incredibly tight because of the slide action and even more tight with the big wheel kit. Mine did not get any easier even with 5700 miles on the track. Loving the content! Keep it up.
I also would like to just say how Talented I think you are...watching on this Thursday night, impatiently waiting to go for a rip even if it's just on my 76 El Tigre tomorrow evening. I love this Channel
We'll see how the backers hold up, this will be my/our first time putting them through this much power. In the next episode on this build I cover it very briefly/explain the process. They have a pretty solid instruction page they email you after your order that covers it pretty well which was nice to see.
Beautiful sled. How come you don’t tip the sled on its side to remove/install the skid? I switched to this method last season and it’s made the job so much easier.
Scott nailed it, due to my overall scheduling this hot rod had to sit with the skid out for several days so it was best to keep it up right. Also, even if i wanted to, I don't know if i could actually lift this thing onto it's side hahaha
I'll be curious to see how they hold up. I don't think this thing will see a TON of full power from a dig, so hoping for normal Canada trail use and rolling pulls they'll hold up okay. Time will tell!
I have a 23 srx (700mi) with a noisy primary and was wondering if u or anyone else are doing anything to make it quieter? Does the noise mean clutch parts will wear out sooner? Or just disregard noise and just keep driving it? Thanks

Right there’s a bunch of nice upgrades for the mighty SRX.. Can’t wait 👍🏼
Your Doggy is so Adorable
That is truly an awesome trail sled the power they make you can’t help but smile
We got it fired up last night and boy, even on the lower tune this thing feels great!

Nice video, lots of upgrades,
Your very talented and looks and sounds like enjoy working on your sled... just like me
Haha
Thank you! It's gonna be quite the rig!
Wish i knew about these blue snow stud backers when i did my 24 sidewinder last year 😢
Are you doing a video on the turbo dynamics tuning process?

I like the way you roll. We’d get a long well. If you’re ever wanting to do some trail riding in Colorado, let me know.
Going to be a badass sled.
Great video fun project build 🤜🏻🤛🏻
Did you do the front coolant line protector by the front cooler? There are exposed rubber lines

A lot of 4 stroke sleds are not supposed to be laid on their sides for extended periods.

Lots of $$$ in parts there
Larry is old enough to have been the first to do almost everything. :)
Hahaha harsshhhh
I used the pro backers and they didn’t hold up that well on a tuned Tcat
Going back to OG

Or just disregard noise and just keep driving it?
Thanks
They make a “knockout” kit that quiets down the clutch rattle noise, there’s a few companies that make one
Yes i think i heard of that,
Thanks,
wonder if left alone , would it still be fine?
It's sad Yamaha left the Snowmobile Business😢
Can I have ur old skis 😅
Bro never throw away parts ur buddy might need it down the road or someone that’s breaks his 😢
Oh they didn't *actually* get thrown out, all the stock stuff is in one big box for the owner to deal with however they please haha
