    Good video. And I agree with your assessments. And I’m hopeful for next season’s outcome for both players. The only difference I’d say that I have with this video is the word “consistency.” I know where you’re coming from and and what you mean when you say consistent. But still, as you already know, consistency can go both ways. Consistently good or consistently bad. And like I said, I know what you mean. The word that I would choose for next season is dependable. Sengun is already dependable. I hope Jalen becomes that too.

    As for the duo you've talked about, -which is the naked truth, Amen and even Reed looks like better options to pair with Alpie then Jalen at the moment. Amen managed to build the right chemistry with Sengun in a short amount of time. And, Reed is a sneaky athlete like Sengun. Better shot selection/shooting along with a team-first mentality can put Jalen in the pole position tho.

    JG hates any type of body contact during the game (zero improvement, you can still see that from the vid of latest player-only-scrimmage-camp, Look! he tried to avoid contact, and his mates got along, will defenders from other team pet him like this lol), so for this reason his games ain't gonna move to next level, think about it have we watched any playoff games lack of contact and ruthless defense? Absolutely nah! I love his quickness and long range shooting prowess (tho always on and off) but he ain't THAT guy no to mention the title go-to-guy HIM.

    Frank, spot on per usual. For Jalen - I've seen enough to know he's not a bust. How high he ends up depends on him finding consistency. I want to see his effort on the non scoring aspects grow. For Al-P - Keep improving. I would like to see his rebounding numbers increase and a decent increase in his 3 percentage would be amazing. The floor for both these guys was who they were last year. I think they'll both get to where we need them with the added bonus of years of chemistry. That doesn't even factor in Jabari...

    Good pod Frank. I agree with you the Silas years were useless for both players. he taught them nothing, however IMO Jalen developed more bad habits than Alperen which caused him to struggle more once Ime took over. I believe what we saw in the 2nd half of the year was Jalen adapting to the pressure of Ime's demanding style. the clay was finally in the potter's hand. I expect both players, but especially Jalen to have breakout years. there is no doubt in my mind Jalen has the physical abilities to be a star, but lacked the knowledge of how to use those abilities. it was like a person learning how to swim. they have the ability to do it, but getting the rythum of the motion down was the problem. now that Jalen has a compotent swimming instructor he is beginning to use his ability. the more laps he takes in the pool the better he will get at it.

    I thought Jalen blended in well with the team his rookie year. Silas is the one that mislead him and tried to give him superstar mentality before he even had his basics down. I think Jalen's thought process is way different than anyone on the team. I'm thinking his little mini camp might be undermining the direction Udoka wants to take the Rockets. As soon as the Rockets get rid of Green they will start winning more. He is not a championship ingredient or even a starter on any team except one where Rafael Stone is the GM.

    We Turks know who Alpy is. Still, he is 65 %. Why? Yes, conditioning. He is working on it all summer. The Rockets lack a real sniper from the perimeter. And now they have it. 3 point % of the Rockets affected Alpy's assists. Now add a minimum of 3 assists per game to his average. He showed all of you that he could defend. This year, he was so freaked because of the injury. So he worked a lot to avoid possible injuries. I bet his numbers will be close to triple-double per game. The last thing anybody knows is if his height is increased?.

    Frank, you named all these 2 man combos who Green and Sengun are the least comparable to, and didn't mention the combo who they are the most comparable to which is Fox and Sabonis.. why??? Is this because it puts a damper in the point you are trying to make? The fact is as it is with the Kings and would have been if it wasn't for Murray saving Jokic is that your not winning a championship with this archetype of player at the 5, unless you are projecting Sengun to be top 10 center of All-Time it's not happening.. furthermore; Sengun anchoring a top 10 defense is misleading. Sengun seen the least amount of attempts at the rim out of all Centers who played more than 30 minutes, but yet had the highest field goal percentage by opponents at the rim...this just means no one was getting beat by their man, and in the rare occasion someone did get beat, they score on Sengun

    1. He struggled a lot till March, after March he struggled again. So more than half of the season. 2. Idk what clicked for you late January but February was actually the worst month for Rockets. 12 game 3W-9L. Jalen 12 game %36 fg, %23 3pt. 15.8 point 4.8 reb, 3.7 assist. I mean he had double digit rebounds late January for 3 game in a row yes but after that numbers went back to 2,3,4. 3. Alp didnt come as the starter. Luckily for Alp (Sorry Bruno) Bruno got injured then Alp got the spot. Lastly i agree with the condition stuff for Alp. For Jalen yeah he gotta be more consistent but i wanna see better offball Jalen, cuz onball Jalen is not a teamplayer. He is not a playmaker, he cant create for others, he is not a good passer. Just be a better offball player n learn how to shoot. Onball Jalen gon look good if his shots are going in like in March, if not he gon look like lost once again.

      @ROCKETSCHOPSHOP Most fans aren’t aware of what was happening behind the scenes before Ime arrived. The culture was in shambles, largely influenced by KPJ’s behavior both on and off the court, including in the locker room. Rafael Stone was manipulating the roster with the intention of losing games to secure the number one draft pick. In fact, there was a point when Tilman Fertitta was seriously considering bringing back Harden. Harden, while still playing for Brooklyn, was even showing up at the Toyota Center when he was in town, trying to politic with management and players in anticipation of his return. I can’t go into too much detail, but Silas was set up to fail from the very beginning. Jalen and the rookies were thrown into a difficult situation, compounded by a fan base that became deeply divided over which player they wanted the team to draft. Fans were largely split between Cunningham and Mobley, and this division has unfortunately bled into the fan base. Frank, you’re spot on about Jalen’s consistency being key to his development, but you can look back at last year and see that Jalen was making strides in every aspect of his game. This kid never received the proper development, and even his entry into the league was far from traditional. Last year felt more like Jalen’s true rookie year. I’m also tired of “fans” loosely using the term “Basketball IQ” to speak down on Jalen Green. “Basketball IQ” was a term historically used to dismiss basketball players of color, and it’s disrespectful. Jalen has shown that he’s more than mentally capable of playing at the highest level. His maturity is coming, and Ime is giving him the tools to take his game to the next level.

  • @pattrickmerete
    @pattrickmerete День тому

    The pressure on Jalen was immense from the moment he was drafted. Some fans expected him to immediately step into a leadership role and become their new "James Harden." However, he lacked veteran guidance and a seasoned coach to mentor him. For two years, he relied on his high school skills and instincts to navigate the NBA. Despite this, he managed to average around 20 points per game, a testament to his raw talent. Last season was what I consider Jalen's real rookie year under Ime and vets like Fred. That's why I remain optimistic about his future. The same can be said for my boy Alpi. I believe they'll both make significant strides this season. 🙏
