I think Houston in its history has always been a team of center players and that's why they've had so much success. Hakeem, Moses, Yao, players like that have helped them achieve great success. Why not continue this successful tradition? Why can't the team have this experience again with Alperen?
Jalen seems to do better after Frank criticizes him - so keep on him. I don't see any limitations on how good Sengun can be - at 26 he could be the best player in the league. I want to see him move around more. I think Udoka sees the potential - he just needs time to get a system and players to implement a fully developed scheme. This year he made them a top 10 defense - that's a pretty impressive accomplishment all by itself. I hope that front office person you mentioned isn't a relative of the owner....
Alpi certainly knows to kick the basketball out when 2-3 players collapse on him, but while there are brick throwers around him, what good is that going to be? J.Green has been good in the last couple of games both offensively and defensively and he paired well with Alpi in pick-and-roll in many occasions. I hope that becomes consistent.
According to John Watson, Intelligence is the ability to adapt to your environment. Imo Jalen Green definitely has that ability. Maybe just a little slow than expected but he is gonna be a grear player. As a Şengün fan, i really wanna see him grow in his abilities with Şengün. Last night i have seen a sparkle. Go Rockets
The challenge lies in players like JG struggling with a one-of-ten accuracy behind the 3-point line, allowing opponents to double-team Sengun without hesitation. The Rockets could significantly elevate their performance by acquiring reliable 3-point shooters.
the rockets have like 6 nice young cornerstone & big-puzzle-piece type players in all positions, different sizes athleticism skillsets + a good coach... all they need is, patience imo.... i'd just keep adding young vets from now on instead of drafting mid round projects if the rockets wanna get rid of sengunn doe, im sure my Ws would want to talk...
@Frank, all it took was you and Roosh putting Jalen in the #6 in the Top Core video a week ago to get him to show his talent consistently. He has skill no doubt just needs to believe in himself, adjust to what is shown by the defense and continually learn and grow his bag.
Some common dumb mistakes aside, Cam was solid tonight. He attacked the boards, made some simple passes, forced fewer bad shots, and was aggressive to the rim.
We did not need that KPJ slander. He was literally on path to being the guy for us. If he was still here, we 3rd seed easily. Don't get me wrong though. I'm not saying he should be in the league rn after all that.
