I just want someone to acknowledge that Ime made adjustments that helped initial Jalen’s turnaround. As bad as Jalen was to start the season it wasn’t all on him. Ime upped the pace to fit Jalen’s style a little more and it’s paid off in a big way. Jalen has made the mental leap Sengun made earlier this season. The one where he realizes “If I have a great game, it is more likely than not that my team will win.” Instead of fitting in, he’s putting it on his shoulders to get the team there. Love what I’m seeing

I’m one of the more positive fans. Even I was in the process of losing hope for Jalen. I think we all knew he could do this, but so can a lot of other forgotten guys who never connected the dots. Couldn’t be happier for Jalen and I hope he never looks back. If he can be even 75-80% of this permanently, we are going to be a title contender in the next 1-3 years. Mark my words!

He's got to be 100% of this . That's what happens with 2.7 seasons of 42 and 32. If one is targeting a career of 45 and 35, that means 2.7 future season of 48 and 38. So far he is doing good on 0.3 season so he still has 2.4 season to go at 48 and 38 to average 45 and 35. It's all on him to do it. As you can see, Jalen's got the tools, just to be on win mode all the time.

He's talking about his efficiency numbers 42% from the field 32% from 3. Whether Jalen is an all star or not all depends on whether he can score efficiently which I'm not 100% convinced yet because he was so bad for so long

This run by Jalen has been absolutely epic. He's finally showing despite all the noise and controversy, along with key injuries to the roster, that he can step up and carry this team to wins in a variety of ways. He is who I believed he could be, just took a lil longer for him than all but he has arrived. Let's take off Houston 🚀🤘🏾

Love what Jalen has been doing...he's on another level right now. Still two more big questions...can we maximize his play with Sengun on the court...and second, can he keep this swag going at the start of the season? That's been our biggest issue the last few years. If Jalen can play at (or near) this level for 3/4 of the year, then I think the organization should have no problem paying the man. But needless to say, this team this year has exceeded expectations (although I've been saying .500 ball since day 1 of this season).

I never gave up on Jalen Green but at one point I was at peace if the Rockets trade him. I thought he just doesn't fit their system and he needs more time probably from another team that will be patient with him. I am glad he is becoming the star he is meant to be. Now, the coaching staff need to figure out how to make Sengun and Jalen mesh. I believe playing fast fits them well because they have uber athletic players. Can't wait to see everybody back.
Thank you. I love your show.

    • @chieflingco
      @chieflingco 5 місяців тому

they can find certain plays where sengun is able to play fast with jalen or just sub sengun out when they want to play fast , it will also reduce sengun's chances of being injured too if they do it that way.

Best crow I ever ate. I had all but given up on Jalen becoming a superstar. I admit it.....I was wrong. looking back over the season I realize Udoka has been disassembling Jalen's game and rebuilding it in a winning tradition. I agree with you Frank I think the team got tired during the season and the allstar break gave them a chance to rejuvenate. However I also think in addition to rest we as a team have a much better understanding of what we are trying to do on the court. THAT'S GROWTH. everyone wants instant results' but Udoka's steady hand and uncompromising demanding position has molded this team and created a different animal. Wheather we make the play in or not I have seen the maturing of the team I was hoping to see at the begining of the year. this year ain't even over and I'm already excited about next year

Don't forget Landale, he fits perfectly. No need for a new big man. Landale is a light Sengun prototype. That's why he fit seamlessly. Adams I think is going to be more of a Boban. Someone who rebounds and plays inside.

    • @nocap6000
      @nocap6000 5 місяців тому

Adams is an above average starting caliber big who can get you 12 boards on any given knight, and probably the best screener in the league. His production will be crazy if he comes back anywhere near the level he was playing at in Memphis

I hope Alperen and Jalen will become a good duo and this momentum will continue next year. If they are aware of the game and work hard, there is no reason why more than one star can't shine in Houston.
Nobody has to be Batman or Robin. Everybody has to be friends and sweat for the team. Everybody talks about how well Denver is playing, but if you pay attention, everybody on the team is responsible for each other and they're friends. Just like the Spurs were back in the day.
I understand that everybody expects Houston to be successful now and they've run out of patience, but we still have to be careful when we criticise the players on the team and make sure that we don't ruin the relationship between them.
I think that's what the coach wants to do, to create a team culture. A place where everybody respects each other and everybody is trying to do their best in their role within the team.

It was so fun to watch Jalen get doubled and tripled and finds a way to beat it and score or find an open teammate. But the crazy athleticism and body control on some of these drives is incredible. Top 2 shooting guard in the NBA right now. Elite scorer. So excited for the Rockets next year.

Thank you for another great video Frank. I can't remember when was the last time I see this Rockets Nation this hyped and together. The think is, with Harden we took the winning and being in the playoff a little bit for granted but after all this suffering the last 3 years, this feel really different, it feel like we value this type of moments more than ever.
Here are my take aways from last night game against OKC.
    1. OKC is for real and they played the perfect game less 1%. They played without their MVP and still they played excellent and you could see there is a system in place.
    2. This winning streak wouldn't be at 10 without the solid play of Jock Landele. Dude crash the board, pass the rock well, make buckets, is always alert and is smart. So, make no mistake, he's a big reason for this run.
    3. Ime Udoka coached one of the best if not the best game of the season. That quick sub in of JG in the 4th after a short break, was as big as anything right we did in the big moments because if he sit Jalen for too long, game could be out of hand by the time he subs in JG.
    4. JG was played this best game of the run last night and the moment wasn't too big for him. It's in games like this that you want to see you star player deliver. After the Q2, he was pure clutch the rest of the game. A star has born.
    5. Jabari's cornet 3PT was the biggest shot the Rockets has made this season and the 2 back to back 3PT by DB to start OT were as massive as Jabari shot.

Jalen finally joined Alpi in making his 3rd year leap! Since last year he has gone from a talented, inefficient “chucker” to a complete player that defends, rebounds, play-makes and shoots efficiently. His play-making is still rudimentary, but he has SO much gravity, it does not need to be. All props to Ime and his staff. Great fun.

It’s good thing for Rockets front office and the fans. If they decide to break up Alpi and Green this offseason both are basically top of their value from the league point of view. Right now Jalen’s value can even get first pick from this years draft who ever get it after lotto and Sengun is consider fringe star at such a young age that team with no identity are willing to give multiple first round to build upon. If we had Silas as head coach I would’ve cashed out but Ime could figure out how to use them together to make it work. For love of god Ime made team full of Jock, Tate, Holiday and Dillon in the main rotation most of season and still ended up with .500 record in the packed West without a single All-Star player.

To overtake Warriors on April 4, we need to win out and Warriors to lose at least 1 game, like tonight v Hornets. Otherwise, beating them on April 4 still meant they are ahead.

I was thinking Dillon Brooks has served his purpose and we should move on from him but I'm starting to change my mind. We sure have a lot of wings though. Possibly all we need is a second point guard next season.

Alpi needs to start sinking the corner three. If we can put that in our offense, it will open driving lanes for Jalen.

Brooklyn Nets rejected a trade between Jalen Green and Mikal Bridges, the Rockets offered the Nets Jalen Green and some first-round draft picks for MB but ended up staying in Nets. I think at that moment Jalen's value became lowest he could ever fall.

And ur take on Jabari is absolutely wrong.. he’s not having a crazy leap year 3 . We can bet that.. he’s a role player may end up being a solid one but y does he get a pass him being a 3rd pick n hasn’t show no star potential but Jalen gets roasted constantly.. talk bout pushing a narrative but all good Jalen making y’all eat y’all words…

@@ROCKETSCHOPSHOP I’m talking about u media guys, y’all were all doggin on Jalen and counting him out where as Jabari hasn’t done nothing special to start his career and he was a top pick too so y is there such a double standard… I remember at one point Jackson Gatlin wanted him benched for Aaron holiday like wtfff lmao and he was so for trading not only Green plus some first round picks for a at best 3rd option on a team in mikal bridges, like really bro.. someone needs to pull Jackson’s basketball card for his foolishness..

Fans hear me all of yall who hated this man 2 mo ago stand down on the gas guys like tank 👻 and myself was adamant that Jalen should be given credit for the good things he was doing when he wasnt making shots frank " you cant trade him it dont make sense" ghost " im not ready to give up just yet " me Jalen just need to focus and shoot balanced shots and we'll be better with Jalen handling the ball more in the initial action " Yall Jalen trash he bum he a bust now what im saying is watching 🏀 and not knowing trajectories effects your ability to analyze players. Ok i digress
Im looking at nick names for Jalen im stuck but i think Jalen and Amen could be the flash Brothers 😂 ...
And as far as the Brooklyn pick its game changers i. This draft all through the first round moving our picks for Utahs picks would be dope they dont need another big and the bigs fall on there picks but if not we just draft the best center at that pick and at the 30 pick we can get another big or if we stay at 43 we can take a shooter this just some thoughts on the last few weeks ... i did some deep scouting and studying on the draft ... that being said
T8nk you killt this show the putting bean on the table is a look and the dynasty thing is possible if we patient we gotta let these guys grow together and we got to draft this pick thats the cheapest players with high potential we can get that will be on the team 4 years from now to help the build .. great show guy csgs we up

Even if they lose we are excited about the future bro.. they could lose out every game but if Amen and Jalen and Bari keep playing like this.. with the fact that we have 3 of the core 6 on ice.. it is cause for excitement

@@ROCKETSCHOPSHOP Yeah Amen is a double double machine. And I'm pumped for Jabari. Jalen still needs to play like this in the first 2/3 of the season before I believe in him being a star. I think he scored 30+ 9 games in a row after the all star break in his rookie season. But I just think they are getting ahead of themselves right now. Fertita congratulated Udoka in the tunnel. That's something you should do once they make the play-in.
