Another tips for Driller : If you use the Sludge Pump as a primary and Subata as a secondary, make sure you use the Neuro-Corrosive Toxic Catalyst as the last upgrade, because if you first shoot an armored bug with your Pump, it will allow the bullets of the Subata to IGNORE ARMOR (including the DoT from the upgrade), including UNBREAKABLE ARMOR like the Hiveguard Boss. This is particularly usefull with a second tip (that also work with Scout's Zhukov) : You can stack a massively damaging explosive reload with the Subata (Explosive Reload OC) or the Zhukov (Embedded Detonator OC) by using the Born Ready passive perk, since the explosion damage scales indefinitely with how much bullets are landed. First shoot almost all of your clip but NOT the entirety of it, then switch to another weapon and wait 5 seconds. Once your dwarf says "born ready !" or something like that (you can also use the "Born Ready Pop Up" mod) switch back to the Subata/Zhukov and it'll be fully reloaded WITHOUT having triggered the explosion, then shoot more bullets, switch back, etc... until you see the red icon indicating the explosion will kill the bug, and THEN reload manually. Combining those two tips, you can go through a Twin battle without them healing even once if you do it right.

reganding 5:30, I think its a good habit for scouts to use harder to reach/far away red sugar. It sucks to have a newbie scout ou your team taking loads of fall damage and devouring every red sugar in sight

How to become TRUE Engie greybeard: 1) Learn what your utilities CAN do and what they CAN'T. For example, if you using full armor piercing and single damage dealing setup - focus the "fat boyz" and stationaries in the first place, because they're mostly deadly. If you use Explosive Rounds, make your Smart Gun with focused lens, because you'll lock on further targets and lock on will stack on 3 on the designated target way often. And don't spend Fat Boy rounds as damage dealing on armored targets. Use it for creating hazard-areas of HUGE radius, which will BURN and RADIATE swarms in the area. Sometimes it's even usable in bunkers, if your Driller made the right one. 2) Your Plaster Gun is so much more than addition to your combat utilities with OC or just helping tool. Driller will appreciate you, if you make a ring of platforms a little bit lower from pipe nests on Liquid Morkite, because he can utilize it for making one-way highway for pipelines, so your team won't need to separate on repair segment (but it's not working on Haunted Cave modifier, so keep that in mind). You can build roads on Fungie Bogs through sludge. You can cover ice or magma hazards. You can make safe-pillows under defensive ziplines (and, please, DO SO!) You can BUILD BUNKERS yourself, if you don't have Driller, because if you know how utilize Repellent - you are in control of bugs on some point. Like, spirals over stationary missions or on open spaces can provide pretty damn good points for defensive strategies. You can utilize 180 degree turrets there like tower defense, whiplash or not. You can slap proximity mines on the way up. You can electrocute platforms with Arc or snipe-burn bugs with splash damage from Explosive Plaster (just don't explode it, but use it mostly for short bursts on area). And so on. 3) Be. Close. To. Your. Team. If you have Field Medic, make sure you CAN create a safe-window to revive (Breach Cutter with Spinning Death), for example. Or cover your team depending on your build and help them with platforms. If you're under heavy fire from above or afar - make cowers, etc. You're problem solver, not problem maker - remember that.

Its funny how just doing the turret controller is considered an advanced tip as 90% of the time your team will have already killed all the turrets before your done hacking. The primary issue with the tip is that if you are playing with randoms its effectively useless as they brainlessly use up ammo on turrets anyways. Personally I think they should replace the hack with you just smashing a few bits on the controller kinda like the communications router.

I don't really see the point in kicking a dwarf unless they're intentionally griefing or harassing teammates. It's a coop game, not a competetive shooter. Sometimes you'll have a greenbeard or a random dwarf make a mistake that hurts the mission, and that's okay. That's how players learn and improve, you're not going to win every game and I don't think it should be expected that other players play ar your level of gamesense unless you've specifically coordinated a private lobby for this through a 3rd party service such as Discord. Playing in open lobbies you've gotta be okay with having any dwarf joining including someone who's just bought the game. Of course get rid of the nasties and trolls. But keep anyone else.

The gunner also has a reduce fall damage thing as an option.. the wiki says its bugged and lasts until you are downed so permanent fall damage reduction with engies platforms and tunnel rat you can fall a really long way and if you are scout well i think you got fall damage immunity.

platforms can be used as cover, block off glyphid access, used for traversal up and down(fall damage mitigation), extend an area making glyphids take a bit longer, roof for doretta, extend an area a little allowing gunner to place ziplines further away, scout combo with grappling hook to get ores quickly, placed below ziplines it can save people if they fall, it can let a driller extend their cave a bit if there's a gap that wont allow them to drill(very useful on refining). even a platform for a better sightlines for turrets or yourself give access to c4 positions for driller abuse on industrial

19:07 I don't understand why "fat boy" is supposedly in the meta. There are about 20 bugs there, you can kill them with 1-2 shots from the cutter. At the same time, there will be a lot of ammo and a lot of variability. And "Fat boy" has only 4 ammo, which you can't always use. You are greedy, or you don't have enough. 7:46 This is a very valid complaint. When I first played DRG, I had the same issues of motion sickness and eye strain. I really couldnt get through a mission without being incredibly motion sick. There is no option to turn off screen shake. And also no option to turn off motion blur.

The guy getting kicked for not playing with the team in a HEAVILY CO-OP game is actually a very common thing I've heard. It's like... They can't fathom that people don't enjoy carrying others all the time and don't like playing with someone who doesn't follow the plans. There is so many of those "I go join someone's game but then play as if I was on SOLO" kind of players in this game, it's absolutely baffling. The host of the mission makes the call. If you want to decide everything, host a game yourself... Or better yet... Play solo!

I've known you can press TAB to open mission selects for a while now, every person I have come accross so far (high levels and low levels) have not figured it out yet. I figured it out on accident when pressing tab instead of escape I play DRG solo since I have no friends that currently play the game which means i've never had to have any major hassle in many missions from swarms or anything. but when i get into a multiplayer session full of randoms i get overwhelmed quickly from the massive hordes of enemies

In solo bosco has infinite ammo for thier machine gun. So if you are in a tight spot with no ammo and not enough nitra to call in a resupply. You can just kite the enemies around and wait for bosco to wittle them down. Be warned this may take a while.

5 hours and you will have seen most but not everything. I feel bad looking back at the time this girl who sounded like she was about 13 said she was playing a random mission and a dreadnought appeared and me and this other guy told her she was making it up. I'm sorry dude.
