I think you might have made a mistake. tier 5 is not projectile speed, it adds your character's velocity to the projectile path so I guess it can work as a velocity upgrade however more often than not it works against you. I would also suggest you NOT take heat in tier 3 because it cuts your exposion dmg by half and fatboy's initial explosion is really good plus the amount of heat that it generates is way overkill with the way it is calculated in game. Funnily enough the tier 3 velocity is the one that you are looking for since it's a simple number increase to the standard velocity of your projectile. LazyMaybe has a really good video covering these exact numbers related to the PGL. Rock and Stone miner!
This isn't a very good fat boy build. Should be going 21321. That way you can have max ammo and the biggest AOE and it still fires like a regular grenade. Plus, you still get 3 nukes per resupp. Stun really isn't the most useful because most things you wanna use a nuke on die from the nuke explosion, and if it doesn't die from the explosion, like a prae or an oppressor, you can't even make use of the stun because the bug is in the middle of a radiation cloud. Added bonus on T5A, if you miss, hottest game of hot potato ever.
That's... the idea. The author made a mistake and said you can have 6 max ammo and +3 ammo per resupply, when in reality you only can have 5 max ammo, but still +3 ammo per resupply. They even corrected themselves during the video via text on the screen when talking about ammo.
Nice video!! I dont think fire adds anything to this OC, and taking that tier 5 mod is not a really good idea on like, anything lol If you you want more speed on your projectile maybe swap tier 3 mod. Also taking lure granades with this OC is really great for making use of that radiation, but be mindful that enemies on radioactive exclusion zone take less damage from radiation!
from my exp fat boy is built 2 ways. 21332, or 21322 with friendly. fire is useless with a gun with this much raw power and dot, thus t3 is freed for velocity. T5b is just the logical option at this point.
I think you do get 6 nukes, since you start with your weapon charged. Sadly, that build is actually pretty bad, the last 3 tier are wrong. Like mentionned in other comments, T5C is not projectile speed, take T5B instead. You do not care about T4C stun on Fat Boy, take T4B for the area radius increase as Fat Boy actually starts out pretty low on it, much less than its radioactive fallout zone. But most importantly, absolutely avoid T3A on Fat Boy: this makes you lose HALF of your damage for a ridiculous amount of heat that is way above the ennemies max heat cap and will be wasted. Take T3C.
As far as I am concerned, fire is generally the best option in tier 3 on any build (except if you really need that extra velocity for fatboy hits on groups of enemies somewhere higher on the ceiling). It doesn’t just trade explosive damage for igniting power. It makes half that explosive damage turn into fire damage that can also ignite. So PGL becomes better against mactera, goo enemies and pretorians and worse against oppressors. Which aren’t a deal because fatboy doesn’t kill them with one shot anyway. But the most sweet part of fire mod is that fire damage doesn’t fall with distance from the center of the explosion. And no, fatboy has 5 ammo in total - 1 in the barrel and 4 in the bags. Otherwise it would be senseless to take both tier 1 and 2 ammo mods because you would get 3 nukes per resupply brick anyway. Sorry for imperfect English and r&s!
@@МихаилАлексеев-ш4т Hey mate ! Big misunderstanding on your end : T3A does reduce your damage by 50%, and that amount is NOT converted to fire damage but only ignition damage. You are confusing this upgrade with the white phosphorous shells on the boomstick which does what you say, but this is not the case on the PGL, and this is why it is horrible on fat boy as most of that ignition will go to waste. You are right on the 5 ammo. r&s!
@@zaion8917 oh I truly mixed them up. Not quite a misunderstanding, I just forgot how it works exactly. But I still doubt about ignition being wasted. I believe overclockless pgl doesn’t ignite pretorians in one hit but not that sure fatboy doesn’t. Have to try this out in sandbox now, may be it is worth it)

@Leprocotic I switched to it when I had like 100 subs cause I thought it was more on brand than the old one and now I don’t want to change it in case it’s recognizable as my logo or something. I should look into getting a better one tho
to make it simple:
-wait for a big group to approach
-"now i have become death, the destroyer of worlds..."
bonus points if you bring along lures

Ahh rip. I hate when I get something wrong in a video. I’m bad at building but thanks for pointing it out! Now I know lol rock n stone!!
As far as I know, the only real use case for T5C is preventing fall damage with RJ250.
To be fair, I never understood why an "Enabled Inertial Inhibitor" was even a thing in the first place.
@@ZarHakkar its manly here if u want to pull off some cool saves with RJ250 or Pallets, no real use outside some cool moments
Fat boy is essentially a long range C4 with extra warcrime
It really tingles my Driller main spirit
I need to get this to deal with problematic teammates.

T5A on Fat Boy is the biggest troll pick, don't ever pick that for god's sake
Isn't T4C better? You stun enemies inside radiation zone
I was so didsapointed that the nuke doesn't one shot fat boys when I got the overclock but I guess its pretty good for lil guys
At 5 max ammo, you also gain 3 at the resupply

Hear me out they should make the entire area that Nuke explodes be carved out like a small brick of C4 to give it a feeling of the devs sting effects

POV you have the fat boi: I’m become death the destroyer of world
Giving the bugs the Oppenheimer treatment
can you hear the music robert
I guess the proximity mod should be better if there is an overclock that change the ammo into cluster pellets after hit or explode with the said mod.
As a person who uses beastmaster frequently seeing you kill a slasher pains me.
Is friendly fire good for this?
