I always had a kinship with this level, not only does it share my name with me (phonetically i mean, Sirena/Serena) but it's home to the boos in this game (my favourite mario enemy) and it's in the shape of the gc controller (first console) i like how shady the manager is too, he gives scooby doo villain. 🙂

When you excuse yourself to enter somewhere you say "お邪魔します" which could be translated literally as "I'm bothering you" (See also: Ojama Trio in YGO and Ojamajo Doremi) The reason I don't think it was intentional is because We're talking "Ojama" vs "Oyama", but it's still worth pointing out.

She's literally leading Sly (and the player) on a wild goose chase because she *knows* he's blindly trusting her to do everything. She easily could've just told you "oh yeah the secret entrance is several feet that way," but no. She's literally dragging him around for a lot of pointless meandering because she knows she can get away with it. Sly's not going to ask "why" he'll just follow. And players thinking it was pointless padding *on the devs' part* (i.e. blaming *them* instead of *her* ) just really adds to that too.

I fnished my run in 3hours and 1 minute. Fighting bosses wasn't really an issue but I've got lost multiple times but I somehow managed to finish it under 5 hours. All thanks to your awesome guide ^^

Honestly a rerelease of Sunshine on the switch with added content and what the game would be if it wasn't rushed would go hard. This is what they should do with all remakes ngl, give us cut content that actually NEEDS remade. This looks like it could've been the best Mario ever

Actually managed to fall THROUGH the death plane on the switch version of this game under the village. Was screwing around by the mushrooms and big tree when I fell, hit the stump a certain way and I just...kept falling without dying. Eventually, I landed and was able to walk around in the void, so I can definitely say that the pit at 17:03 is, indeed, very forgiving lol.

There’s another glitch! If you start to shoot water while Mario is on his belly it’ll make the sound effect for shooting the water but nothing will come out

The total amount of blocks of a Gummi ship actually affects its speed (although there is a maximum and minimum speed that's determined by your best engine). By default, the Highwind has a speed of 60 (due to the minimum speed cap, otherwise it'd be ~41). To reach the max speed when using a single Fire-G, your ship can at most have 10 TOTAL gummies, including cockpit, engines, weapons, wings etc. When using 2 Fire-Gs, you can have at most 20 total gummies. So basically, you can sacrifice some of your ship's health to go 33% faster

About the clocks all showing a different time: You know how at some airports there's a bunch of clocks next to each other, all showing different times because they show the local time at different parts of the world? Traverse town is a hub of people from many different worlds, so maybe it's just that the clocks show different "timezones" lmao

I've always wondered about Traverse Town after this game. Presumably it no longer exists because all the people went back to their home worlds. But is the place still there? Do the buildings stand empty and sad, a monument to a home that never was? And what about those people; do they remember it? Do they remember each other? Do you think that sometimes they miss their little makeshift community of misfits and refugees? That maybe some of them preferred that home to the one they actually had before, and that even though it was a place built of the back of tragedy and horror... that deep down... every once in a while... they want to go _back?_ Anyways, great video.
