The reason the goop can't be spread is because of how the goop itself is generated. The game uses black and white PNGs (Goop Maps, in other words) to dictate where the goop can be placed within a level or scene. The black parts are where goop can be drawn but isn't immediately present, and the white parts are where goop is automatically drawn when the scene is loaded. These PNGs are of a finite size, so any goop brought outside of its range can't be drawn. In this case, the Goop Map surrounding the Pianta statue only covers the required area and nothing else. When Shadow Mario absconds with Peach, the game uses a different Goop Map for that scene that covers Shadow Mario's path and nothing else Fun fact: Every level and scene within that level has a Goop Map, even if the level itself has no goop anywhere. TCRF has a whole list of the unused ones, and some of them can be pretty funny
Great video! Just wanted to mention that if you drown the Pianta with mushrooms in the goop and then save him, he gives you the blue coin you normally can get later spraying his burning mushrooms. Yes, as a kid I also enjoyed drowning people in the goop lol

The original gamecube version was actually built in 1080p and compressed to run on the gamecube in 480p. If you use dolphin to emulate it you can run it in 1080p and it may help read some of the illegible smaller text in it's original form.
Oh shoot I should look into that. I just had the thought while watching that I actually know how to read some japanese and might be able to help translate it, but I'm not good enough to make out the stuff from this screenshot alone. If I remember to do this, I'll let y'all know what I find.

Another funny little thing is that you can see Mario's blink speed coincide with his sidestep speed. -Some of the windows in Delfino Plaza aren't fully modeled, so you can see through gaps to see that building walls are invisible from the inside. -For Ricco Harbor: you can enter the portal to it by jumping up towards it under the pier. Speaking of, before you kill the Proto Piranha, you can see the sunken pianta under the pier. -There are dead bloopers in a boat which imply they get fished up. -If you spin jump into a grabbable fence, you can see Mario snap onto it. -All of the bloopers you ride have the same top speed if you hold forward, making Green the best thanks to its control. AverageTrey even made a whole video about it (as well as Blooperless, which you should show off)! -If you move the Mario Cam into the wall in the Blooper Surfing Safari, you can see it's in the Space Train area. -You can use the crane (or a good beyblade maneuver) to grab the grate from the bottom in Ricco 3 and skip going up top. -You can dismount your blooper in Ricco 6 by jumping on the umbrella at the start or running into the pianta with the duckie floatie (I swear there was a third way). -In 3D All Stars, you can see a Pianta fall from the sky during the intro cutscene for Ricco 8. -For Gelato Beach: you can turn the camera away from a growing tree and it'll stay small. -People say the juice bar looks like a Gamecube control stick. -Speaking of the bar, not sure if you're gonna cover Gelato Skip but I think it's at least worth noting that the shine in there is legitimate. -In Gelato 2, there's an invisible plane in the sky if you look in the mirror. Also the tops of the trees are missing in the shine cutscene. -In Gelato 3, something people might not know is that Wiggler has different faces for when he's flipped over and jumped on. Also steam comes out of his nose when he's jumped on. -When dealing the final blow to Wiggler, opening the Z menu will cause the music to either get super fast or super slow depending on how quickly you pressed it. -In Gelato 4, the Sand Bird actually loops back down. -In Gelato 6, the cheep cheeps can't eat you if you're holding a fruit. -For Sirena Beach: you probably know the Pahntamanta is probably a reference to The Shining and that the beach is shaped like a Gamecube controller, but just in case...! -The phantamantas can't go too far in the ocean, so what I did as a kid was get them purple, go out in the ocean, and just spray back and forth. -Piantas eyes are rendered over their glasses. -FLUDD's nozzles don't show up in mirrors. -In Sirena 4's secret, standing in one of the holes in the wall will eventually kill you. -You can run under King Boo to reset his slots. -Also King Boo's explosion color when he explodes corresponds with the fruit that killed him. My theory is that King Boo is so off-model because he's another Paintbrush creation, and Bowser Jr. gave him slots because King Boo perhaps likes to gamble (he had card suit theming in Luigi's Mansion). Maybe him and Bowser go out to the casino... -AverageTrey has a cool video about King Boo's slots if you didn't already check out all of his Sunshine videos. -Sirena 6's goop is shaped like a boo. Also you might know but the percentage of goop you need to clean varies in the Japanese version. -For Noki Bay: you probably already knew but the platforms in the water are actually cute little houses. -I'm also sure you already have the book in Noki 3 ready to talk about, but just in case...! -In Noki 4, you can bump into Eely Mouth's bubbles to get air. -Only Eely's corner teeth get a reaction out of them. -Noki 8 never had an official English title and was called Deep Sea of Mare until 3D All Stars gave it one: Noki Depths. -For Pianta Village, the village is presumably on a giant toadstool on the big tree in the center of the level. Neat! -You can see the Chain Chomplets' heads under the level after they're dunked. -If you're facing the lady at the end of the Il Piantissimo race, she'll say his line instead of him. -The ways I know how to clear the Goopy Inferno are: the Nintended way by going under the town, using the fence/slither of land on the left to climb the big tree, splashing enough water out from the pond to spin jump over, and using the Wind Spirit to get enough invincibility frames to jump and land on the fence straight ahead. -In Pianta 4, the Chain Chomp will avoid you so you can just lead it to the pool. You can also jump in before it lands to get inside it (and safely jump out through the teeth). -In Pianta 8, you can't see Bianco. Weird! Also I'm pretty sure for the beehive coin you're supposed to get Yoshi to eat them but I always just knocked it down and ran around them. -When Delfino gets flooded, repeatedly trying to surface under a log will let you walk underwater which is fun. It also lets you see some quirks about that version of Delfino Plaza, like the manholes. -Speaking of, you should totally cover all of the different types of Delfino Plaza that get swapped in at certain points of the game and their differences. -Everyone thinks Bowser is bathing in goop at the end, but based on the fact that NPCs say the Delfino flood water is warm and that it came out of nowhere, my theory is that the flood water is from Bowser's hot tub and he just dumped it out. The reason it's green is because of bath salts (common in Japan), and it's just goopy because they couldn't program splashing water. -When Delfino gets flooded, it's actually just lowered into the ocean to create that illusion. You can see this if you take a comparison shot from out in the ocean. -If you throw a fruit in the water right as it's about to expire, it'll respawn invisible. -The fruit in the fountains was added in the US version. If you spray them they'll disappear. -The area with the blue coin above the police station has building textures inside it (and isn't shaded during the flood). -In Corona, you can use the invincibility frames from hitting a fish to be able to swim under the lava's killplane. And speaking of the fish, they have cool pupils! -Bowser's roar in the cutscene where you disturb his family vacation is Sound Ideas, MONSTER - ROAR, ANIMAL 05. -And of course...getting up to the Pianta Village pipe early...but based on 21:48 I'm sure you'll cover that later. If UA-cam lets me post all this it'll be a miracle. I omitted cool little glitches and exploits not used in speedruns (like clipping into the Turbo Gate Shine/Police Station/the Sirena Pipe, or entering Bianco while the Ricco unlock cutscene is playing), as well as stuff like the invisible barrel/crane in Ricco, because it seemed like you weren't covering that stuff, but I can gladly write about those too. And I'm sure you can find other interesting stuff on TheCuttingRoomFloor now that I think about it. Keep up the series!
Useful fact to know about the Goobles/Swooin' Stus: If you jump on them while being low on water, they will always drop a water bottle that refills your tank. This means you can never get into a scenario where you're surrounded by deadly goop with no way to clean it. (...except for the floodless missions I guess)
Chromosome number unknown might be one of the oddest details in any mario game. I've never even considered the number of chromosomes mario has, but maybe I should??
That wasn't in the original. I'm willing to bet it was part of the AI upscaling. People rightly roast the GTA collection for its piss-poor AI upscaling but let this one slide...
@@alaeriia01 The weird eye earrings are in the original. What probably happened is some tired developer on their 16th cup of coffee accidentally set Peach's earrings to use the wrong texture for a few scenes.
the Japanese version has a different take of the prosecution's voice lines during the courtroom cutscene. there's quite a few errors in it too: "Expert *Shrine* scholars have determined that this darkness has arisen because *of* all of our guardians, the *Shrine* Sprites, have vanished from their gathering spot at the *Shrine* Gate."
To me it sounds like one of the first takes in that session, then in that same session they corrected him and asked to say "shine" instead and use that version in intl releases.
Oh hey, a game I've actually played being covered! I think that "island shaped island" right at the start might actually be shaped like a Sunfish, there's even a pokemon based on it, Alomomola.
Also the M graffiti on the windmill shouldn't be there if they're seemingly old screenshots in the promo. Also the dirty bells in the Delphino Plaza shot combined with the shine in the shine gate facing the wrong way
I love this video series! This game is a very intense special interest for me lol, I'll always love learning the nitty gritty about it. Immediate subscribe, can't wait to see the other secrets/easter eggs/fun facts to discover in this game. One more thing, though - I'm pretty sure that in the Japanese version of the game, the corrupt prosecutor mispronounces a few terms. I think they edited his clips (or had him re-record them) for the later versions of the game. I think I remember he used to pronounce the game's main collectible as "SHRINE sprite," rather than "Shine Sprite." For another fact about Delfino Airstrip, I could be wrong about this, but I'm pretty sure it is the only locale in the entire game where it is impossible to use exploits to walk underwater. I have tried so many different tricks to try to walk underwater, and the only thing that has worked for me is an Action Replay code that makes Mario ignore his swimming function and fall through water like a rock. There are methods to walk underwater in every other world, though.
Extraordinary video! It's such a fascinating dive into an intro level that could be otherwise a bit overshadowed by the rest of the game. I NEVER realized that the Airstrip Music was a reprise of the Underground theme. And I've listened to this music a LOT
I think there real culprit of Mario sunshine's linearity is that you only need to get the first 7 shines in every world, and everything else is superfluous. In SM64 all the secret shrines can go towards your necessary 70 stars, but the secret shines in sunshine only contribute to 100%
I believe if you hack Sunshine and beat every shadow Mario mission you can beat the game so really you need 7 shines or 8 counting the one on the airstrip Yeah I don't think Nintendo thought that out.
I'm really glad I stumbled on this channel! I've been binging your Mario Sunshine videos (A little out of order, whoops!) and you do such an amazing job at breaking down everything and showing off things that I never noticed in this game! Keep up the great work! Just as an aside, I'm not sure if you've ever watched him, but an older channel by the name of Particular Mushroom had a similar series nearly 5 years ago and you've managed to fill that Mario Sunshine shapped hole that has been missing since he left lol
It's blurry, so I cannot be certain, but I'm almost sure that in the detailed overhead shot of Isle Delfino from the opening cutscene, the ferris wheel seems to be visible and is miscolored red, which leads me to believe that this cutscene and the cutscene after you defeat Bowser were worked on simultaneously, or at least in very close time to one another, as it's also miscolored to be red in that scene, but is more noticeable. Just something I never noticed before. (Or it could in fact just be the building upon which the wheel rests, but I like to imagine the former)
13:28 that fanfare sounds extremely similar to the song that plays in Super Mario 64 when you get the final 121st star from Bowser in Bowser in the Sky that plays when you use the wing cap to fly around the boss arena and back down to the front of the castle.
It seemed like every gaming UA-cam er used this song for epic moments circa 2014 or around that time lol . I remember most notably Game grumps did it lots
Oh boy, thank you for addressing the fact that shadow Mario's idle animation is the same as el piantissmo. It is very distinctive to me and bothers me that nobody talks about it. After you're done with all the levels, you should do a recap for all the facts you missed from comments!
I just realized why the Piantas are so ready to send Mario to jail. They're panicking because the Shine Sprites are gone. And them being plants, they're probably weak from lack of sun, making their brains not function properly.
This extends past this game specifically, but it does tie into it in an interesting way. Remember the line about the Pianta remarking that the pollution tastes like candy? Well, you might recall that Mario Party 8 utilizes candies as items, and some of those things transform you in a manner similar to how Mario is transported into different levels, as seen near the end of this video. Some people have used this information to theorize that the candy in MP8 is actually made of the same material as the goop from Mario Sunshine! Again, not really a Sunshine specific thing but I just thought it was interesting.
The part I struggled with for the Airstrip openning cutscene is that as presented in game and in the establishing shot of the Airstrip, there was not nearly enough runway to come to a sudden stop like they did to avoid the icky paint-like goop that's moving. Actually, there may not even be enough runway in general. Even a smaller jet like that needs a lot of space to both take-off and land, and I'm not so sure that amount cuts it.
These shots of Peach looking at the water tower at 8:10 always made child me believe that her eyesight wasn’t great and she’d need glasses. Looking at it now it’s probably just the heat waves
A fact of the building in the airstrip. The interior was going to have a higher quality interior that would load in the same way for the box breaking interior and the boat house interior loads in. However it was scrapped and we're left with a low quality darken version of interior. Remant of it it still exists However. If you come back to airstrip when it's unlocked after you beat the game with a rocket nozzle and perform the rocket storage glitch to launch mario up to insane heights you'll be able to land in a invisible room high above the building. This was the scrapped room for the building mario would've been teleported to when entering the building there even a couple of flying stu's there as well.
I have watched this video series about 5 times over so far. I love your take on the Mario sunshine universe. This game has some strange choke hold on me. I really just wanted to say these videos have gave me some kind of joy I can’t explain, Thank you!!❤️
The use of an SMB1 underwater arrangement for the title screen and attract mode also happens in SMB2 (USA), Super Mario All-Stars, and the Super Mario Advance series, and I have a hunch it was inspired by the former two of those. As someone whose first real engagement with the series was All-Stars, the tune still has strong "overture" associations for me.
What's cool about this game is that well yes Bowser is the main enemy at the end of the day they build up his threat steadily over the course of the game heck you probably don't even get much hints Bowser is the one causing all this until partway through where you fight a giant robot that looks like him. This even feels like some sort of petty revenge against Mario by Bowser to try and frame him using his son to disguise himself as Mario so he'd get sent to prison so the entire plot is basically stopping Bowser from terrorizing the island with his goop mutants and clearing Mario's name. This really does seem less like Bowser's take over the world type scheme but rather a petty act of revenge against his nemesis. And what better way to to do it then to make Mario feel like the very thing he is opposed to. A villain. This opening really sets the tone as everyone on the island even a few of the people Mario saves just outright express disgust at him mistaking him for Bowser Jr but as the game progresses you see the island warm up more to him as he's undoing all the damage Bowser and his cronies are causing. It reaches it's peak when Bowser Jr. .has had enough and floods the plaza forcing the people to the rooftops. By this point the citizens seem outright remorseful that they framed the wrong guy with even the very same cops that arrested Mario and threw him into prison at the start of game actually saying things like "I guess we were wrong about you." It really makes the 100% ending screen kind of heartwarming in a way. Mario arrived here just to get away from it all but trouble found him either way. But by saving the island now Mario can finally get that well deserved vacation as well as a wish by all the people he saved to enjoy it having finally proved his innocence and foiled the evil Koopa King once again.
11:08! I had this game since Christmas of 2002, and I never noticed that was supposed to be Mario's face. This is the first console game I have ever owned!
I remember seeing the term "Galaxy Goos" to refer to the Goobles in some guide I read as a kid, and that just forever became what they are in my brain lol. I love the name too much to call them anything other than Galaxy Goos.
This series got me to play Mario Sunshine on 3D all stars. I really did enjoy it. Some levels like Pianta village I never even heard of and it was so cool playing a Mario level blindfolded. However, I have one issue: some of these episodes in the game are mine numbingly vague. I had to use IGN for 3 shines just because I spent 30 minutes on the level having no clue what to do. Otherwise, it’s as you said, a “classic” game and I came out of it appreciating the series you’ve made as it is so far.
I think the first Delfino plaza goop, the one locking Bianco Hills, might be a Sanbo head giving a little foreshadowing to the main inhabitants of that area.
i dont think you pointed out that the crates around the island have a mushroom icon on it seems isle delfino imports most of its goods from the mushroom kingdom
This game was my way of going on "vacation" during school/summer break. I only actually went to a tropical place when I turned 20 (Mexico) and NGL, Sunshine is better haha
I just wish they had time to actually finish this game, its funny how this game has one giant connected world but they still use portals to get to different levels. I wish the delfino railway didnt end up getting scrapped
I can tell you right now, from YEARS of playing that game as a child, there is absolutely no npc you cannot goop. Unless theyre in an unreachable area or out of the goop's range, the only npcs that i think absolutely cannot be gooped are El Piantissimo, Shadow Mario, and Peach herself if I recall. Everyone else is fair game if you try hard enough, even on the airstrip
6:31 best version GameCube version I love the track they play here and I wish there was a longer version that is stored somewhere 7:21 wtf I never knew this was a texture until now, I thought it was the weird way a camera zooms in on a super rendered far shot of the airstrip
16:56 most fair Japanese trial
I think that the "bird shaped island" is some sort of angelfish and the "island shaped island" is a sunfish
Beat me to it glad someone mentioned it
I thought it was a sting ray
I’m confident that it’s definitely a sunfish.
100% a sunfish, I came to the comments to say the same thing
And the "little fish shaped island" is more like a sea cucumber

There are a few gems in here I wasn’t aware of, thank you!
So, colored bath salts in water is like the Japanese equivalent of bubble soap for depicting a comfortable warm bath? Fascinating!
Useful fact to know about the Goobles/Swooin' Stus: If you jump on them while being low on water, they will always drop a water bottle that refills your tank. This means you can never get into a scenario where you're surrounded by deadly goop with no way to clean it. (...except for the floodless missions I guess)
Specifically, you have to be at half a tank or less, so you don't have to be critically low to get the bottle drop!
Chromosome number unknown might be one of the oddest details in any mario game. I've never even considered the number of chromosomes mario has, but maybe I should??
You've got a real knack for this thing. Great VO, tight editing, and unique content. Hell yeah dude
In all my years passing this game I've never noticed that the goop at the beginning looked like Mario.
I been playing this game for almost 18 years and I never even noticed that the goop was in the shape of Mario’s face🤯🤦🏽♂️
I think my favourite thing about the intro cutscene is you can see Mario in the background with fludd while they’re showing Bianco hills. 3:45
I’ve played this game so many more times than I can count and I somehow never noticed the paint in this level was a portrait of Mario’s face, wow
Me neither I’m so mind blown about that
I love super mario sunshine so much!
oh my god I can't unsee the peach eye earrings now
That wasn't in the original.
@@Skelington pfff....
BWAHAHAHAHAHA!!!
the Japanese version has a different take of the prosecution's voice lines during the courtroom cutscene. there's quite a few errors in it too:
"Expert *Shrine* scholars have determined that this darkness has arisen because *of* all of our guardians, the *Shrine* Sprites, have vanished from their gathering spot at the *Shrine* Gate."
Zelda?
To me it sounds like one of the first takes in that session, then in that same session they corrected him and asked to say "shine" instead and use that version in intl releases.
Oh hey, a game I've actually played being covered!
I think that "island shaped island" right at the start might actually be shaped like a Sunfish, there's even a pokemon based on it, Alomomola.
3:45 The screenshot of Bianco Hills from this promotional video features Mario clearly standing in the lower-right corner.
Also the M graffiti on the windmill shouldn't be there if they're seemingly old screenshots in the promo. Also the dirty bells in the Delphino Plaza shot combined with the shine in the shine gate facing the wrong way
You are such a delightful chaos gremlin and I can't wait to see this series unfold! Seriously, I'm smiling so hard that it hurts right now
This series is a great idea for your channel, awesome quality
Peach noticing shadow mario is analog horror
I love this video series! This game is a very intense special interest for me lol, I'll always love learning the nitty gritty about it. Immediate subscribe, can't wait to see the other secrets/easter eggs/fun facts to discover in this game.
One more thing, though - I'm pretty sure that in the Japanese version of the game, the corrupt prosecutor mispronounces a few terms. I think they edited his clips (or had him re-record them) for the later versions of the game. I think I remember he used to pronounce the game's main collectible as "SHRINE sprite," rather than "Shine Sprite."
For another fact about Delfino Airstrip, I could be wrong about this, but I'm pretty sure it is the only locale in the entire game where it is impossible to use exploits to walk underwater.
17:05 i like to imagine all these characters are just incredibly nearsighted
I think there real culprit of Mario sunshine's linearity is that you only need to get the first 7 shines in every world, and everything else is superfluous. In SM64 all the secret shrines can go towards your necessary 70 stars, but the secret shines in sunshine only contribute to 100%
I believe if you hack Sunshine and beat every shadow Mario mission you can beat the game so really you need 7 shines or 8 counting the one on the airstrip
Yeah I don't think Nintendo thought that out.
Mario kirt.
The goop painting is so funny, great video!
14:38 Glad i’m not the only one to do this :D i've spent so much time as a kid trying to submerge npcs in goop lol
This is great. I loved this game so much as a kid, and seeing stuff like being able to drown folks on the airstrip is just genuinely so cool.
Amazing, from Sly 2 to one of my favourite Nintendo games
20:43 wasn't expecting a Nightwish jumpscare!
It seemed like every gaming UA-cam er used this song for epic moments circa 2014 or around that time lol . I remember most notably Game grumps did it lots
I’ve noticed some UA-camr using it. But to be fair, Ghost Love Score is an epic song
7:19 I swear I never noticed that back then! So cool.
I've never gotten the chance to play this game so I'm glad you're making a Game Break down on this game!
I always loved how even during the "landing" cutscene, you can see the yellow Pianta in the back losing his mind.
Oh boy, thank you for addressing the fact that shadow Mario's idle animation is the same as el piantissmo. It is very distinctive to me and bothers me that nobody talks about it.
After you're done with all the levels, you should do a recap for all the facts you missed from comments!
15:40 that IS a lot of patience lmao
Im surprised how few views this video has. It deserves way more.
I can't believe I never noticed Peach's earrings
Toadsworth still appeared in the mario and luigi series, so he was around on the ds and 3ds
But they did.
These shots of Peach looking at the water tower at 8:10 always made child me believe that her eyesight wasn’t great and she’d need glasses. Looking at it now it’s probably just the heat waves
Oh wow you're doing the entire game, I absolutely love this series already. Thanks for doing this!
I never noticed the texture bgs in the cutscenes before, I wonder how hard it is to notice in the original on a crt
Those 5 Toads are the origin of the Toad Brigade: in a very disconnected way, Toad Treasure Tracker is a sequel to Sunshine
Fantastic video, wonderfully read and executed! ❤
I really just wanted to say these videos have gave me some kind of joy I can’t explain, Thank you!!❤️
I love the court scene. Everytime I play this game I can’t wait to see the most BS court in history.
You are great at what you do my friend. I love this game and your style and how thorough you are. Well done, keep it going dude!
"Looks like-a Mario's gonna have to find a job!" feels *so wrong*, I can see why they cut it!
Found my new series to watch. My favorite 3D Mario game too. Good work Cheif
8:15 He's just standing there... menacingly!
You are my favorite sunshine warrior holy moly amazing series
I don't think I have ever seen that title screen reel demo or ever heard the Sunshine styled Water Level theme. Incredible haha love it!
This is an awesome series I stumble upon. Kudos for referencing max pre-peach% banana ramp trick
This was the first videogame I ever owned that came packed with my GameCube that I got for Christmas as a kid...I have never noticed THIS much detail!
These are so great! Definitely following for more!
That fluffy bit was a funny catch
20:20 that piano music has no right going this hard.
11:08! I had this game since Christmas of 2002, and I never noticed that was supposed to be Mario's face. This is the first console game I have ever owned!
As a kid, the scene of Mario being in the jail cell made me so sad. He doesnt desrve to be in there bro 😢
As a kid I didn't know english so fludd's voice and piano music got me thinking sunshine had some kind of sad tragedy going on
I remember seeing the term "Galaxy Goos" to refer to the Goobles in some guide I read as a kid, and that just forever became what they are in my brain lol. I love the name too much to call them anything other than Galaxy Goos.
60 FPS + UHD Texture Pack on Dolphin is the definitive version imo! It's so good. It's what should have been in All Stars.
Peach is seriously rockin that ponytail
What a high value video from one of my favourite video games, subscribed!
This is a very good twist on a let's play
"What kind of court has a judge that can just unilaterally proclaim guilt?"
Man... that hits way too hard right now.......
I miss Toadsworth. When will Nintendo bring him back?
I think the first Delfino plaza goop, the one locking Bianco Hills, might be a Sanbo head giving a little foreshadowing to the main inhabitants of that area.
Do more of these 🙏
Dude, you are way underrated
14:05 i remember i loved sinking everyone into the goop
I would start new files just to do this
9:16 you can do the sideways somersault from a complete standstill, which only seems to be a thing in this game.
I am loving this series, though I somehow watched like 5 episodes before realizing this was meant to be the first one lol.
24:57, yet another glitch in this game I knew nothing about until my video of this game's glitches came out a number of years ago.
i dont think you pointed out that the crates around the island have a mushroom icon on it
seems isle delfino imports most of its goods from the mushroom kingdom
4:17 Mario was also at 3:45 in Bianco HIlls, Peach needs glasses
6:31 best version GameCube version I love the track they play here and I wish there was a longer version that is stored somewhere
7:21 wtf I never knew this was a texture until now, I thought it was the weird way a camera zooms in on a super rendered far shot of the airstrip
Mysterious mare do well + discord line cool
I honestly miss Toadsworth. He was a fun character. The old worrywort chancellor with a funny voice.
HOW MANY CHROMOSOMES DOES MARIO HAVE, NINTENDO?
UNKNOWN
At least 7
14:39 oh neat, didn’t realize the sinking wasn’t scripted
Yessss I loved this game as a kid! I’m so excited for the breakdowns. Sly 2 and now Super Mario Sunshine, I’m personally being spoilt
