For me, I have this system called the One Week Rule. Basically, if I have an idea for a visual novel that I think is interesting enough, I will give myself ONE WEEK to work on it, or at least a rough draft version. Then, I'll decide whether or not if it's worth polishing up and making it into a larger game or not. In other words, I do a self game jam and then come up with a real plan afterward.

Ahhahshshdh tysm you don’t know how much this helped and motivated me 🙏 I’ve been avoiding learning anatomy for literal years and even if I force myself to it I give up pretty quickly since i was just drawing blindly without a clear plan or process and just hoped to god my brain remembers all of it.. which is why it’s been hard picking up on drawing again, i love drawing and most of the time I have clear ideas of what I want to draw but my skills are way behind leaving me dissatisfied, I’m def gonna be using these to develop my own studies, tysmmmdj

Dude, I hate it when I record and realize that I talked too much and have to condense and redo it again lol I do agree though, in order to improve art, we have to keep trying, even when we fail. Failing is hard, it hurts. However, failing is necessary to grow. I'm glad I watched this video, I need reminders every now and then lol

ur anatomy isnt accurate, you lack a lot of structure and a lot of your overlaps are wrong. So for anyone who is watching and actually wants to learn anatomy, there is no secret short cut, go read from the experienced, michael hampton, steve huston, glenn villpu, do master studies.

I wholeheartedly agree with everything in this video! Great work! Do you guys mind sharing some online study tools? I've been using line-of-action. Their library is so expansive and you can choose from many options regarding theme and the time settings of your session (overall duration, reference intervals) also the references cover all difficulty levels. And it's free. I would like to hear some more tools you guys found helpful because I find that I need this structured setting to make my studying worth the time invested. (Or maybe this could be a topic for another informative video :D) Cheers!
