"I always wanna show the Forearm, even if I don't need to" I feel that, I always rack my brain trying to show everything that it comes out looking wonky lol
3:53 You didn’t touch on this part a lot in the video, but I saw it so much in the art timelapse and it really clicked in my head. The pose felt waaaaay more dynamic when everything wasn’t hidden by what was in front of it. The picture of the hand pointing directly at the camera felt boring, but the one you did with the fist was a lot more interesting because you showed the forearm, and thats what I always struggle with, it makes so much more sense now 😦 ig I should exaggerate more than trying to focus solely on accuracy, you’re really good at this 🔥
Thanks!! I think it just depends on what the pose and camera angle is for things like that. Sometimes exaggerating is necessary but only when the understanding behind 'when' and 'why' is there😁🤙🏽
I think, in my own opinion, to make the finger point more dynamic is by changing the camera angle of the person themselves. Instead of a straight camera shot with the finger pointing, hiding the arm and bicep and some of the shoulder and you want that arm foreshortening, either do a high angle or low angle shot and have the body at an angle and this allows you to show the whole arm in perspective. This can also add dynamic posing as you draw this. Yea it still shows there is something there, but if you drawing a comic or a whole page, the panels themselves can be organized to show where the finger is pointing or show the actual thing being pointed at. Idk. This is more of a theory that’s worth looking into. I seen some art with this in mind but I admit it’s been a while for me and I’m back to being an art student. So take my theory with a grain of salt.
Yo I'm definitely impatient when it comes to this. Even when I can understand it at times I struggle unless the guide is right next to me. The sizing be getting me too cause I would struggle to balance and draw it waay to big. But I've made some progress so we moving, thanks for tips bro.
Yeah! I think that's where the guidelines have been helping me out ALOT. It's never a bad thing to rely on it every now and again! Thanks for the comment bro!😁🤙🏽
I was nodding the whole video. I have noticed everything you said, too. Particularly how much easier it is drawing with guidelines. Often struggled with how much of the hidden part should be shown so the audience knows what happens or how the pose should look. I think it all depends on practice to get a feeling for it. This is how it was for me. Still learning to draw certain poses correctly, but they feel more natural after practicing. Always include one or two perspective drawings in your practice, it will help a lot! Thank you for sharing these valuable tips! I feel more confident in how I practice perspective and dynamic poses now :3 Keep up the great work! It's always a pleasure seeing your studies!
5:03 an old man I once knew who quit smoking always said “Aw man, I really wanna go smoke, but I’ll see if I got one more day without it in me.” And he’s been doing it for 14 years now
I've been looking into how to draw characters specifically in perspective for a while now, frustrated with my inability to do so. What blew my mind is when in one perspective guide the person just started drawing like 6 differently angled horizon lines for different items scattered in the scene. And my conclusion with characters specifically was that after you learn the basics of perspective, you just kinda...wing it. Afterall you won't have perfectly horizon-aligned forms with all the twists and bends of a dynamic pose. It's still hard and sometimes it just doesn't make sense to me 'on paper' but ends up looking good and dynamic either way. Would definitely like to see a follow up vid that maybe explains more of the nitty gritty regarding characters, considering yours look so nice!
You definitely have a point! Horizon lines can be funky. I definitely will take a deeper look at perspective sometime soon for a vid😁thanks for watching!
Honestly, the opening line is something everyone should keep reminding themselves: you aint learning this in a day. Which for some might be silly. Its just drawing, of course I can learn it in a day. Ye? Can you go from 100 to 200 bench in one day too? Because that the jump we're talking about here. Anywya, keep cooking my guy. For some reason I wasnt subscirbed, I fixed that issue.
@Ron_Sensei I'm saying we all need experience talking to ourselves about our problems the way we would talk to a friend who has them. In fairness I said I sucked at something later that day, and granted it doesn't fundamentally attach a permanent idea to your identity suggesting an eternal failure, but it's demotivating and we should try to stop saying stuff like that. "I suck" isn't actionable. "I'm inexperienced" is definitely actionable and can be safely treated more like an objective truth. To say you suck is to say you should already be better according to a standard, and who's to say that? We're mostly a product of influences and we are where we are, and even if it's not great, it's the natural place to be for our circumstances. You can think "I'm not the best at this" but when you start getting too comparative, you'll always raise the bar, and your brain will always consider you less than. And then people that aren't as experienced as you will be demotivated if they see what they think is a masterpiece and you go "it sucks." Just a big ugly place to be in. Compare your work and process to your old work and processes, not to other people, and reinforce objective and actionable language. That way, you improve, and you feel like you're improving too, which motivates you to improve more. Hope it helps
How r u not more popular, I was legit JS wondering how to make my drawings kinda pop more in perspective but didn’t know how n then this appeared, it all js linked the dots for me, also FIRE drawings
seeing how you can draw these with like the absolute barebones guidelines helps me a lot for drawing physical. i dont wanna have to erase 50 lines of perspective after doing the drawing lol
Do you use references for all these practices? Or are they from your imagination? A big barrier for practicing for me is actually finding references for the things I wanna practice
These specific ones I did not use reference(I was at the airport and did not want to connect to wifi😅)but I definitely did reference a ton starting out, especially with perspective!
Haz mas técnicas de saber colocar a los elementos del escenario y personaje, y si hay alguna formula matematica para calcular espacios, areas y volumenes en perspectivas. Esta genial y cool. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
it could be a combination of not using enough overlap and sizing issues with the depth. I know for me those were my main issues when I feel my perspective is off.
Bro cooked with the thumbnail
🤝🏽😈
ass.

More like bro's cooked 😂
I actually hated the thumbnail but I couldn't deny that it was a dynamic image. Watched the vid and subbed instantly.
It's honestly missing some balls

This was needed
Also congrats on 7k

Thanks for the nice comment! Yeah I definitely plan to incorporate more perspective work in my studies for sure! Let's keep up the good work!!🤩
Nice video dude! I like the way you create the initial guide for the perspective and your tips are solid.
Woah, thanks a bunch!! That means a ton coming from you! I grew up watching your videos😲🔥‼️

I really like this guys loose method of laying out the grid.
thanks! I like to get going as fast as possible🤣
I love these exaggerated poses
Thank you sm!! :D
you def have to be careful when making super exaggerated poses as well- it can get goofy looking super quick
Yeah it definitely can! There were a couple of mine that were a little wonky lol. All a part of the journey to get better😁🤙🏽
Took me a while to get past the overlap thing too. Turns out less is more when it comes to perspective
It seriously is man, I still sometimes have trouble with it, but I think I'm starting to succeed more times than fail which is good😁🤙🏽
I check me phone and get gobsmacked by the thumbnail alright
lol😂
Got caught lacking too.
Im obsessed with mastering perspective so this video could not have come at a better time 🍄🍄🍄
Glad this could help your endeavors!😎🤙🏽

Amazing video! I literally suck at perspective so these quick tips helped a lot 🔥🔥‼️‼️
Perspective is not a physical object. You can't literally suck at it
Glad they helped!! I wanna go more in depth at a later date on it😭🤝🏽

Blender is really great!! I don't use it much for 2d stuff but I can see it being a really great tool for perspective stuff!
I’m already pretty decent at drawing perspective, but this video will definitely help me improve on it more. Also that thumbnail bro💀💀
