I'm still very much on my very long unwinding journey, lol! This resonates with me so much. I think I got stuck in this mindset of just drawing, but then I burned out. I have found so much fun and love in crafting little clay figures though and having other creative outlets to reignite my love for drawing 🥰

I would just like to say I find your videos to be very helpful and find them enjoyable without being a seeming lecture while also giving genuine advice that has been helpful in getting better and being able to better express myself in my art. I only just recently found your channel a couple days ago, and yet have still found this very helpful and a good source to learn how to better delve into my drawings on their own.

At 5:30 on the subject of talent it frustrates me to no end hearing this word. When people say things like they're not as talented as someone else, they discredit the hard work that it takes to reach a certain skill level.

Im currently stagnant in my art so this is welcome, my art is comic like but i only do one off illustrations, lastly i feel like i have a block in my brain to actually improve all the way in my art honestly
It could be a period where you are in an art plateau, which may be especially hard to motivate yourself to improve due to not seeing extreme or obvious growth in a long time. All of us go through this at some point in our art journeys. What helps me is reminding myself that progress isn’t always obvious or remarkable. It helps to know that even if you FEEL like your stuff isn’t getting better, it always is if you are trying and applying yourself. Good luck to you on your art journey, friend!
