All the people I knew thought it was genius. MTV played the hell out of this and we watched. You wouldn’t get it, you probably weren’t even born. Had to be there and your opinion doesn’t matter. The song is impressive, who cares what the video was like? God, most videos on the the 80’s SUCKED but we watched/listened!

Everything came together at the right time for Jamiroquai and the Virtual Insanity video - the band had already released two very good albums, so the award winning VI video just shot them to another level - many people still consider this as one of the greatest music videos of all time

My fist time hearing “leave it” was during an intermission of a minor league ice hockey game ( there was actual blood stains on the ice!) between the Birmingham Bulls and the Richmond Renegades in the mid 1990’s and I was intrigued and curious as to who the band was ….shorty after I bought the 90125 CD for “Owner of The Lonely Heart” and was so surprised when I heard this song come on later ..the same strange A cappella beginning and kickstart drums after…..I had goosebumps….it was YES ??! Every time I watch a hockey game I remember that song ! 🏒 🦷 😀👏🤘🏼
