  • I recently watched The Jungle Book on Disney Plus and fair to say that I enjoyed it quite a lot. I was surprised that Disney made an adaptation that was good and, in my opinion, was better than the original. So I wanted to make a video going over why I liked the Jungle Book and what I thought of the other adaptations that I've seen.
Thank you for watching and enjoy!

I think something this live action does very well is making it more mature. These aren’t silly looking cartoons characters anymore, they look and feel like dangerous animals so naturally a more mature vibe has to be added. I feel like other live actions want to be for “older/mature” audiences with no real reason why, but this one fits well as it helps with characters, setting, and story

At least you did a better review of the jungle book 2016 than the nostalgia critic

What was wrong with The Nostalgia Critic’s review?

@@matityaloran9157 his review was a horrible representation of the movie he kept saying it’s trying to be the grown-up version

@@henrymockingbird9645 My impression was that his complaint was that it was trying to be both a more faithful adaptation of the book and a live-action recreation of the cartoon at the same time (which he disliked.) I don’t actually agree with that assessment but it’s hardly the worst interpretation of the movie

@@matityaloran9157 I’ll give you this at least his points even though I didn’t agree with them which is more than than what I could say about Harry Thomas’s review at least the nostalgia critic didn’t try to call the jungle book 2016 a rip off of the lion King

@@matityaloran9157 I also find it very hypocritical of him to not like the jungle book 2016 for combining both the book and animated film and yeah, he praises the ever loving hell out of Alita battle angel, which pretty much did the same thing combining to source materials

I actually agree, it’s been a while since I’ve seen the og and when I watched I get the same way you did. Also, another animated classic Disney made into a remake that wasn’t done dirty: Cinderella. It is so good. Great review! Love your content! 💜

I love how Kaa in the remake has more relevance to the story than just being another animal that wants to eat Mowgli. There are some things about the movie I would change though, I think Baloo should've been a Sloth Bear instead of a generic Brown Bear, since Sloth Bears are known to live in India and fight Tigers. I also don't get why they made King Louis a Gigantopithecus, the filmmakers said it was because Orangutans don't live in India and Gigantopithecus did. I personally think that doesn't matter, since an out of place Orangutan would be more believable than an extinct species of ape that's somehow still living in 19th century India.
