Leech Lake Ice Fishing Panfish (2023)
We ended our ice fishing season with a couple days chasing bluegills, crappies, jumbo perch and walleyes on Leech Lake. On our last day, we found a nice pod of big bluegills on a weed edge adjacent to deep water.

Algoma KING Salmon: Lake Michigan July 2022

Made our annual trip out to Lake Michigan this week to see if we could find some King Salmon. With a lot of cold water still around, we changed our location last minute from Bailey's Harbor, down to Algoma, WI. Most of our fish came early mornings, with afternoons and evenings being a struggle. Thank you to those at the Algoma Marina who were willing to share intel, and help us dial in the bite...
BIG Twin Cities Metro Walleye Surprise

With all the wind we have been having lately, we opted to explore a small metro lake to see if it actually had any walleyes in at, as the DNR said. After exploring some spots for about an hour, this happened. I think I will need to spend a little more time seeing if this can be repeated. I came up with some cool products to help anglers and pay for boat gas. Check out thenetbuddy.com for more. ...
Bobber Sniping Walleyes using Livescope in the Rocks: Mille Lacs June 2022

Went up to Mille Lacs and with a strong SE wind, spent the day bouncing around the south side rock reefs. We used Garmin Livescope to find walleyes relating rock and gravel points, and put bobbers right above the fish to get them to come up and eat. When the bug hatch is going, this is my favorite way to get walleyes to bite. I came up with some cool products to help anglers and pay for boat ga...

Mounted on barrel but i cant get forward mode to work any ideas on this thanks. When i put the ML in postion its showing the bottom i assume up and down the screen.
Do you have any cable protectors for sale?
Not plastic ones. I switched to a rubber one that is included with a sleeve.
How do you collapse your net with the attachment on the net
Hi Harold, you can’t.
Would you mind going through your settings I cant get that good of a image no matter how hard i try.
Can we get a new updated video? since it now comes with the neoprene sleeve and that rubber tube
What if you wanted to use perspective mode mounted on the barrel?
Not really possible in a good way. Would need to get something like a cornfield mount, and you’d experience a lot of vibration and wobble in perspective on it.
Watching one year later. Any experience with your system and the Ulterra automatic deploy? Cable management is the concern. One could not wrap the cable around the Ulterra post like you do with the Terrova. If there is a tangle or knot, the Ulterra deploy motor is strong enough to pull the transducer cable off the transducer. Which is not good. Perhaps I try to rig it up with 14/2 wire in a rod sleeve as proof of concept before I tie my MegaLive transducer cable to the Ulterra bullet. Thoughts?
You can’t do this with an ulterra. You’d need a different way to do cable management. I’ve had this on my terrova now for 6 seasons no issues.
are you using lvs34?
No, 32 in this video
How can I purchase one ?and will it work on an advantage trolling motor on a tiller in the back?.. I would think it would be the same concept it's on the barrel... Let me know what you think and I'd like to purchase one if that would work for me.
Thenetbuddy.com. You won’t be able to wrap the cord like that but the barrel mount should work.
Looks like a great alternative from pole mount. But assuming I would not be able to tarp and travel with boat cover as the pressure on the 334 would not be good? Thoughts? Great video
How do you find the livescope when you are spot locked and vertically jigging for walleye or lake trout? Is it a big problem when the motor adjusts direction?
Is this barrel mount a 0 degree mount.
Technically No, but you just rotate the hose clamp around the barrel until the ducer is at 0.
@@NetBuddyFishing do you just eye ball it or do you use a level
@@dannylang7971 I just eyeball it.
Thank you sir for replying.
This is not on your website
I discontinued the plastic protector. I did not like that it created a rub point on the cable. I changed it to a rubber one with neoprene sleeve.
@@NetBuddyFishing I ordered what you sell now seems to be good quality thanks
Says page us no longer available how do I get
Updated the link. Should be good now. Thanks
I try to see after you put it on how much kickout do it ha e??. I'm trying to mount myself to the trolling motor but looking at it fron the front that kickout looks like its doing out into space instead of in front of the trolling motor. Suggestions???.
I am not following what you mean by kickout?
So the trolling motor doesn’t interfere with the live scope ?.
No
I don’t see a product either.
Was a teaser. Look up Musky Buddy
Will this work on the Minn kota ulterra
not this method. There is a bike lock coil method that works good for Ulterra cable management
I asked donnys question just now. Might you show us how the bike lock coil works on an Ulterra?@@NetBuddyFishing
You guys definitely have those musky nailed down. Congrats!
How do I order the cable protector?
I changed it a little bit. This is better thenetbuddy.com/universal-live-imaging-cable-sleeve-and-rubber-cable-protector/
So in this video, that is a zero degree mount, barrel bracket? Wondering if the barrel mount that comes with the LVS32 is standard zero degree or purchased separately?
It’s the standard barrel mount, but it’s set at 0 degrees before I tighten it down.
@@NetBuddyFishing Have you had any experience fishing shallow water (10' or less) with the ducer being mounted to the TM barrel? Wondering if there is any interference or noise due to barrel mount in shallow water (like for crappie fishing open water suspended fish)
@@MrDereksykes yes, all the time, no barrel interference
Very good video I do the same thing I switch to the pole ducer and now I’m back on the trolling motor. That’s the only way to run it bass fishing have had zero problems.
Yes, I couldn’t imagine not having it on the motor.
is there any way to have this type of set up on an Ulterra?
Outstanding Product. Great On-the-water Demonstration. Well produced Video and sound tracks. If you can share the lures used, would be appreciated but respect if you can not. Be well.
Can’t find this mount anymore on your page for the lvs32
I changed it so it’s not plastic. thenetbuddy.com/universal-live-imaging-cable-sleeve-and-rubber-cable-protector/
Nice fish!
Nice crappies what kind of rod are you using
Where do you get that barrel mount at??
Scary
how did you mount your live scope transducer to an ulterra?
Garmin barrel mount. Help the cable during stow and deploy. I use a terrova now though.
Where can I buy the cable connector.? I did not see it on the web site. Thank you!
Discontinued, using electrical tape at the base of the transducer is sufficient to connect a rod sleeve.
What rod/ line are u using?
I’m jealous! Always wanted to go Muskie fishing.
interested in both items you have listed in your video.
I discontinued the cable protection, electrical tape will work. Barre Mount is available at thenetbuddy.com
Did you use spinning or casting rod sleeves?
Casting.
Hello, having it mounted to TM, and on spotlock, will that affect the imaging? I have mine on a mounted and image is great, but always looking for better system. Your mount says for hummingbirds, would it work with Garmin Force?
No interference. I have some other videos where I record the screen while targeting walleyes.
Good video and appreciate it. When you automatically stow the motor, do you need to baby sit it? Meaning, I see when you manually stowed in in the video, you grabbed the loops and brought them up over the cradle. Thanks....
I would not do an Ulterra Auto stow and deploy this way. You will likely pinch the cable. There is a video out there where they uses a coiled bike lock on the side for the ulterra cable, that seems like a much better idea.
@@NetBuddyFishing okay.... Just saw that you were showing an Terrova and not an Ulterra. My bad. I will look for that video. Appreciate the quick response.
Is the cable protector on sale? I dont see it on your site. Great vid btw!
Ive never eaten rock bass. I catch some big ones up on LOTW from time to time, next time I do I will fry one up and see what they taste like... Hopefully the open water season will get under way, sooner than later. Really diggin that Livescope transducer cover you sent. Appreciate it.... Great video, hope to see ya on the water soon
They smell terrible when you filet them. Don't let it throw you off. Launching a boat tomorrow...
@@NetBuddyFishing Ill take your word for it and give it a try! Good Luck
Hybrid not full pumpkin seed
So i just mounted mine like this yesterday but the install directions for forward mode did not have it sitting like you had. It had it slightly canted upwards and forward not straight???
The 32 or the 34? The 32 to top should be flat for forward mode. Or, it can be mounted facing the other direction, where then the bottom would flat. The 34 has a slight tilt up.
@@NetBuddyFishing Yup my bad i didnt notice that was a 32. Your spot on man.
Giant sunny n rock bass awesome!
I can’t find the cord saver on your website am I over looking it?
Hey Brandon, Yes, I discontinued them. I found they were not needed after a year of using, with the changes Garmin made to their cord. Electrical tap to attach the cable sleeve would work good. I did this for 4 years with no issues.
Ok sounds good thank you
Hey Just watched your video today pretty good good job. Myself I have never fished The fox but I’m hoping next year I will!! I live in Manitoba Canada so we go for Greenbacks
It's a zoo most days! Some day I'd like get chase those greenbacks, they look awesome.
just curious, did you try the perspective mode? maybe would not work as well in that deep of water? You have a nice boat skeeter for sure. Fishing in that wind was impressive, I personally would have my life jacket on....thanks
I don't like using perspective on the trolling motor, and for this bite specifically, forward mode is best as the goal is to keep your jig above them for them to come up and eat.
Do you think you could run the wire down the shaft from a older Terrova?
I have not explored that, so I am not sure.
Can you post a link for the cable protector? I am not finding on your webpage.
I discontinued it, I don’t think it was adding a lot of value. Electrical tape at the base to attach the sleeve will do the trick. I did that for 4 seasons before making the protector without issue.
I must not have been out there on the day you recorded this. I watched twice just to make sure. Thanks for putting her back to make more babies.
Those are some very nice rods I like them
