  • For about 3 hours in the afternoon, over the course of 3 days, we got to experience one of the best big fish walleye bites I’ve ever found. We targeted fish that were mostly singles, up to the biggest school of 4 fish, all in deeper water. The first 2 days the fish were high and suspended, but a storm came through and started to push them back to the bottom. The big walleyes had been moving into deeper water following the schools of shiners, and we were able to use Garmin Livescope to keep our jigs just enough above the walleyes to make them come up and eat. One of the coolest things I’ve been able to do with Livescope so far, and can’t wait to go look for them again next year.

      It was a pretty special bite. I am hoping I can repeat it this year too.

    Hi, how about a short break down of your livescope setup?

    Awesome video! What size jig were you using when fishing that deep?

      Thanks! 1/8-1/16 is what I like for suspended fish. It floats a little longer and gives them a chance to come up and eat!

    I've been wanting to learn to catch walleyes here in Tennessee

    Thanks, no cord pinching problems?

      @NetBuddyFishing  3 роки тому

      Nope, I do have to move the cord when stowing to make sure, but it's really no big deal.

    Ive been eying that Live Scope for some time...... Trying to really learn my Helix's. Looks like you have some really good videos on your channel. I'll be taking a good look. By the way, some stellar walleyes you put in the boat!

      I have a helix I use for side imaging. Combined with Livescope it makes getting on fish a lot easier, then you just gotta figure out what they want tot eat!

    Never seen a bait in the video… what were you using? 1/16-1/8 oz what?

    The screen shows livescope in forward mode with fish out 30 feet or so in front of the boat. But the video shows you guys vertical jigging straight down in the front of the boat. Are you casting and retrieving or jigging under a slip bobber?

    • @NetBuddyFishing
      @NetBuddyFishing  Рік тому

      casting 1/8 and 1/16 jigs, and you kind of use your rod to float them up above the fish while working it back. All the livescope footage is lined up to what was happening.

      One of those special days of fishing aggressively feeding fish. Great video and super livescope settings. Thanks for letting us know how you did it.

      @@richardthompson8207 Ive got one from this year too "Video Gaming BIG Suspended Walleyes using Garmin Livescope" , go take a look. I am convinced that right after the spawn when the big fish move offshore, this is a consistent bite for a month or so, and we have been able to replicate it on 4 lakes now.

      Thank you so much for that info. I catch plenty of big Walleyes, but it is usually prespawn or fall. I also have the lvs 34 and couldn't be happier with it. I think I have fished that bite in June on Lake of the Woods and caught several nice fish. I will have to try that pattern again, now that I have livescope.

    No structure at all? What made you look there for walleye?

    • @NetBuddyFishing
      @NetBuddyFishing  2 роки тому

      They were spread out in a pretty big area. We know that the fish move offshore as spring goes on, and were just looking in deeper water for them when we kept noticing suspended fish. Sure enough they were walleyes. I am convinced this pattern can happen on any lake in late may/ after the spawn as we have now replicated it on 2 lakes, 2 years in a row.

      @@NetBuddyFishing that’s interesting. I suppose moving from shore to there off shore structure area. Did you find that these fish were mostly females?

    AS long as you can afford big tech , who needs talent.
