Clear Water Lindy Rig Tactics for Walleyes (Mille Lacs)

With more lakes in the Midwest becoming clearer due to the infestation of zebra mussels, changing tactics slightly can help put more fish in the boat. We had the a different idea of how we were going to fish this day, but pulled up to the lake with wind higher than expected, and had to change up our plan. We spent a morning on Mille Lacs pulling lindy rigs and spinners, and the bite was on.

It’s an incredible place. Maybe not as good as lake of the woods where you seem to spend most your time, but for central Minnesota and being able to put 30-100 walleyes in the boat any given day, it’s pretty amazing.

To bad no fish in ML / how about a slot? .. ? Might work? Done with it! How about a 3 fish limit state wide? 2 rods?

I would even do a 2 per day, 4 possession statewide. As technology gets better, and more adopt it, fish don't have a chance. I am all for an expansion to 2 rods as I do enjoy trolling as we get later into the season and it's time MN allow it. I'd pay a rod stamp for an extra rod.

@@NetBuddyFishing shouldn't have to pay for a right to eat. Maybe we need a tax stamp for going into Walmart or local grocery store. Gotta look at it from all angles. Glad I live in the state over 3 rods per man. Limits are much better. Many here throw back large walleye. Saw a guy drifting a local river he got a 27 and let it go.
