Приєднався 8 січ 2021
My name is Kate and I am a physiotherapist. I graduated from the medical university and I work as a physiotherapist with children and adults.
UA-cam is just a hobby. I thought that it can be nice to share my knowledge with you. So on this channel you will find videos related to health, rehabilitation and physiotherapy. I am a practitioner, so I will share with you my insights and professional experiences. But besides, I’m a huge fan of Evidence Based Medicine, so in every post and movie I make you’ll find references to scientific research.
There are no product ads on this channel (and never will). At most, I will occasionally criticize products that I (and scientists) believe are useless.
Hope you enjoy the content,
Kate

I just don’t agree sorry
Thank you kate feel relieved
I am noticing the movements coming back on my left side. My left eyebrow is lifting some, and my smile is a lot better from all these exercises. Am not gonna lie i got a lot of anxiety from being diagnosed with this and feeling down.
I was diagnosed one week ago
thanks so much for this video. i learned a lot
This work don't take tension
Thanks!
Paul from Canada. Thanks for this information on Bells Palsy. I was just diagnosed last week with it AGAIN. I had it previously when I was about 26 years old. Now I am 65 and getting it again. Although this time around it is not quite as bad as it was the previous time. I feel anyway. I am taking a few weeks off work due to my left eye only partially closing when I blink. It gets dried out and irritated often and other times waters excessively. So I am trying to be careful with my eye and nurse it a couple of more weeks before trying to return to work. Using eye drops and ointment at night and taping my eye shut at bedtime. Last time I had it I did see significant improvement after about three weeks. But I am older now so not sure how this experience with go second time around. I am getting some acupuncture on my face tonight. I have booked in for massage and either acupuncture or electro therapy every other day for the next week. That will take me to the end of my first two weeks by next Friday. I can't remember when I started the electro therapy the last time I had it. But I thought it was after about one week. The person doing my massage and therapy has urged me to not rush the recovery too much. I was going to start some facial exercises today. But after watching one of your other videos realized maybe I better hold off for a few more days to start that. I think my situation this time around seems to be more of a partial paralysis as compared to before. I just finished my doses of predesone. That stuff is horrible. But I guess it works. Thanks again. Any other suggestions you can offer here would be appreciated. Thanks again Kate. Great videos. ❤
Good morning Paul. I am very sorry that the disease attacked you again. The good news is that there are no significant differences between primary BP Patients and recurrent BP Patients in terms of symptoms, palsy severity and presence of comorbidities. Some scientific sources indicate a slightly delayed facial nerve function recovery in Patients who experience the disease again. Fortunately, however, it does not affect the final outcome. In your case, the recurrence of the disease occurred after many years, and it is difficult to find scientific studies with such a range of dates. Nevertheless, you can check this study: pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC6843582/ As for the tip - it's hard to judge anything being 7,000 kilometers away from you :) I would have to assess which muscle groups are working and which are not yet. We start exercising when there is at least a minimal, active contraction of a given muscle. And we apply this principle regardless of whether it is a primary or secondary disease. So, go through all the exercises in front of a mirror and assess which ones cause your muscles to contract at least slightly. Don't push those where you see a complete lack of movement. Wait few more days with those. From what you describe, you are under good care of specialists. Moreover, you know what you will be facing, so getting through the disease will be easier for you psychologically. Take care of yourself and as you already know, be patient. Let us know in a few weeks how much progress you have made. Thank you very much for your Super Thanks. It's absolutely wonderful that despite your problems, you can appreciate and support others! Have a great, great day.
I’m surprised some tech company hasn’t created a baby walker with geofencing technology. Golf courses equip their carts with it so that you can’t drive into certain areas. Integrate a walker with it and have a parent map out their house or apartment to where that walker can and can go.
Ok wait till baby is 4 years old till they start walking on there own 😂😂
🙌🙌
Some pole systems are under palm, like KeenFit
I am a woman who suffered from the seventh nerve palsy while I was pregnant. I have been suffering from it for 14 years. My eyes are very small and my smile is on the side. Is there a treatment for my condition? Because exercises did not help me much.
So what about babies that dont use their legs at all? Cant walk and uses just their arms to "crawl."
Thank you so much Ms. Kate, very helpful, be safe always :). Godbless
are there any links between lifting weights and cording? I was fine w no big issues post cancer treatments (surgery, rads , chemo 1 year ago) but then I started w/ dumbbells and barbells to help w/ weight loss an boom my under arm and side of my breast ar now so dang tight and borderline painful/tender. my mri is clear but i think I feel/felt a little cord. now I'm wondering on that side if I should limit my dumbells to very light amt like 3-5 pounds max? (when I was doing those
I came across your video I’ve just had the cancer and some lymph nodes removed these videos are very helpful and I’ve subscribed to you I only had the op two days ago and they said everything went well the operation was successful I will continue watching your videos thank you from Karen Stepien
Dear Karen, It's absolutely amazing that despite your own problems you thought to write me such kind words. You are wonderful. I hope you recover quickly from your surgery. With warm regards, Kate
Both my adult kids had a baby walker when they were babies, neither had a single acccident and both walked on their own by 10 months. I think my baby walkers were wonderful, the baby was able to get around the house on his and her own whereever I was. Further more both kids as they grew were sporty with my daughter being her schools top sports female in running. My son was a top cricketer so neither were negatively affected by a baby walker. Neither have had a single muscular or hip issue, both are fully grown now so sorry but I disagree with this info.
أشكرك على الفيديو، سأجربها على دراعي التي بدأت تتورم أتمنى أن احصل على نتيجة مرضية، مع تقديري وحترامي❤❤
I've had Bell's Palsy for three months. My smile has improved significantly, but my right eye still doesn't blink like my left. How long did it take some of you to fully recover?

Thank you, my daughter is already 1 year old just few days ago, she’s crawling while lifting her butt. I thought I should buy this to help her but I changed my mind.
Thank you madam great information
Thank you very much wonderful video it really made me understand sciatica foraminal stenosis. God bless you.
Hard to do a couple of the tests at home but the first two were positive and not sure if we were doing the others right. If the first two are positive, what are the chances of SI joint problem?
Thank you 🙏
Hello🇦🇿✋
Great videos, i am Physiotherapist from Pakistan
thank you
Thank you for your videos. I was misdiagnosed with Bell's Palsy, but bloostests later revealed that i had Lyme neuroborrelisosis. Still only on day 17, but i have very slight movement in my cheek, side of mouth and eyebrow. Still can't close my eye though, which is a real pain. Do you do online therapy sessions? I have found no physiotherapists here in Sweden, that actually specializes in facial palsy.
Thankyou
Thanks a lot!
