Today: How to fix anterior pelvic tilt (lumbar hyperlordosis), and should we always try it?
Lordotic posture, also called lumbar hyperlordosis is a situation in which our pelvis is excessivelly tilted forward. This is causing muscle imbalance called lower cross syndrome.
However scientific studies indicates that hyperlordosis is not necessarily related to lower back pain.In today's episode, I will talk about how to measure the lordosis angle, whether and when to use what exercises, and what exercises to avoid in the case of lumbar hyperlordosis.

    I was diagonised with Bell's Palsy about 3 weeks ago. Today I'm 90% cured. Dear Bell's palsy warriors, don't be upset, it will be ok. The only thing you need to do is being consistent. Do the facial nerve stimulation treatment consistently in physiotherapy section, and also along with that do facial exercise atleast 3 times a day, take your medicines on time and eat healthy food. At the beginning of 2 week sometimes you feel no change and it will make you desperation.. But its ok 'TRUST THE PROCESS'..At the end you will be Ok.. And also the main point to remember is, if you don't feel any changes in your facial expression even after two weeks. Ask your phsiotherapist to stick tape on the affected side of your face to stretch the muscles, by using this tape technique our facial expression can improve eventually. This technique helped me a lot to improve my facial expression.

    Everything you're saying is correct. However, I do think that all these devices can serve as good supplemental tools if they're used thoughtfulfully during training sessions. Perhaps I take this statement lightly because I'm a gymnastics teacher and I've taught kids gymnastics. However, I do agree that none of these devices should be used for extended periods of time or unsupervised use or even just as babysitters. Same thing with screens and the the like.

    • @vietl8506
      @vietl8506 Місяць тому

      @@shawtdusanshawt the exercises in this video alone should be enough, but I also had my physiotherapist do massage therapy to speed up the process. I did these exercises every morning, so once per day. I would wake up, wash my face then do these as the first thing of the day; from Monday to Friday, and rest on the weekend (my physiotherapist told me it would be better if I could do on weekend as well). I do these like this: Raise my eyebrow with the help of your hand for 3 seconds, rest for 1-2 seconds, repeat for 30s. Rest a bit if you feel tired, then to the next exercise. A 30min session of these exercises should make you feel dead tired after.

    You explained this condition better than my neurosurgeon. I have it chronic. Been suffering for years now. Two bouts of PT and still the same. Sometimes it gets really bad to the point I can barely walk and other times it's just a constant chronic stiffness and sharp pain. Funny enough of the exercises you showed, I only did two in PT. It's a bit depressing to know that it can't truly be fixed without surgery but if I can stop it from worsening then I'll continue to do the excercises. This year I started having leg weakness which scared me big time. 😫. Thankyou for your insight!

    Very comprehensive and scientific review. In the 1980's, the walkers were very much in fashion . My friend had her daughter sitting in it all day and zooming all over the house in a fast pace.Due to that "fake walking" ,that baby girl skipped the natural crawling phase all together .I was not in favor of them nor in the 1980's( with my son )niether with my grandchildren now a days. Back then we did not have social media nor tutorial clips to guide us in the right direction ,but intuitively I absolutely hated these walkers.The best is to avoid the pushing walkers all together. However , if you feel that you must use them ,do it with moderation and wait till the child can already walk on his own.

    Please tell me how much movement should my effected side have before I start exercising. This is my 41st day and I have miniscule movement. Thank you

    • @katephysiotherapistwithbraid
      @katephysiotherapistwithbraid 4 місяці тому

      Hello, you should see at least minimal movement of the muscle (in every exercise). For example, if you are doing a smiling face and you see that the corner of the mouth on the affected side is slightly raising, you can safely exercise, because it means that the nerve pathway is open. If you are not sure whether there is minimal movement, you can stabilize the non-injured side and then try. However, we perform the exercises without stabilizing the healthy side.
