Just to say a thing or 2 about CF "Cold Lake", as I am a Big FROST Head! This Poor Beaten Dog of an albub, is actually a Good Metal album, that stands up for it's time against Alot of the stuff that was out there at the time! However, Cold Lake, is NOT a GOOD Celtic Frost album, PERIOD! They let their fans down, and never really recovered from it, as they became "Sell outs"! T.G. Warrior should have went under another band name, and they would have done just fine for a year or so, and then Forgotten about! But in "RETRiBUTION", to their fans, they came out with "Parched With Thirst am I and Dying", which had some AWESOME, really heavy NEW renditions of some of the better CL songs and some re-recordings of their other stuff as well= Listen to IT = Way worth it, I HIGHLY Recomend it! And the last 2 albums are worth a listen as well! Vanity and Nemesis has some Killer songs and Monotheist is heavy, but just sounds kinda "Tired", like a dying Band as Martin Eric Ain passed away about 11 years after this release, (OMG, it feels like this album was released yesterday!). This is all IMHO..😃 Morbid Angel.. I got out of Death after Formulas.. Everything was sounding the same in those days to me.. I see that Illud Divinum Insanus was MUCH Hyped with various box sets and such. Their Early stuff is AMAZING up to COVENANT!.. Then Eh.. IMHO! Carcass = The first 2 albums were just Gimmic GORE Silly, just like the first 2 Napalm Death albums a kinda Silly! But the reast of the the catalogue Is AMAZING! I have seen Carcass twice in the 90's! Great shows both and Napalm twice with Barrney singing, same era, which was OK. SLAYER! = They Lost Me After Seasons in the Abyss. They are a GREAT and tallented Band and all, But I can say the same for Megadeth, everything after Countdown.. OR Last one here.. Iron Maiden, everything after Fear of the Dark?? Maybe I am just getting OLD, and FAVED OTHER music at this time, which I did. I STILL LOVE All of these Bands, but I do not have the time to listen like I used to..!

Awesome list mate!!! Swansong is a great album, i don't get the hate for it. Gorefest went on the do some great death 'n' roll albums in the late 90's as well. I could never get into those rap albums by Machine Head like burning red and supercharger, no idea what they were thinking with those.

Anything by Albert Collins gets me thru these cold days!

Diabolus in Musica is actually my 2nd fav Slayer LP, after Seasons taking my #1 spot. I also find St Anger unbearable but the rest of the LPs I can defend to some degree.

So far I’m not very impressed by the new album. It’s not bad, but I liked ”In Cauda Venenum” (at least the original swedish version) more and all albums between ”My arms, your hearse” until ”Ghost Reveries”. Nothing wrong with The Last will or the rest of the albums. I can find gold on all of them. My top 3: 1. Deliverance 2. Still Life / Blackwater park 3. In Cauda venenum (swedish)

Illud Divinum Insanus wasn't that bad - apart from one song. Supercharger was awful, but not as bad as Catharsis.

The thing I don't get about people being apoplectic about Illud is that everyone felt like the industrial/aggrotech sound came out of nowhere despite Trey openly and transparently showing his newfound love for club techno above death metal for at least a few years leading up to it. If people paid more attention...

For Disturbed I separate the ethics of the artist from the art for this type of situation, in my view they are just artists not saints, I like some Disturbed. Ozzy is my second favorite of all time, I suppose his voice could be an acquired taste though. Stone Temple Pilots not my thing. Maybe I like 1 song. Bullet For My Valentine I basically only like Scream Aim Fire. Five Finger Death Punch sounds literally the opposite of emo music, some might think the vocalist sounds like this big macho weight lifting dude who used to bully them back in highschool. I only like a little of their songs. Maroon 5, I like a little of their songs, I'm not huge on pop, can see how their style can get old. Dimmu Borgir really not my thing. Black Eyed Peas I really like a couple songs and that's it. Asking Alexandria I only like 1 song. Exodus, I generally agree, Rob Dukes era is definitely my favorite era. Bob Dylan not my thing. Manowar not my thing.

Diabolus in Musica bangs compared to absolute wreck that was Repentless Also, if you want more insane Celtic Frost stuff you can only listen to on youtube, check out the weird, weird EP/demo from 2002 called ''Prototype''. It's almost universally hated but its a demo for a reason. And that reason is because its weird electronic hip-hop and Tom G is rapping his butt off.

So for me, I think if it's not for the latest album imperial, infestissumam is probably my favorite overall from says one whole album. I think the debut has good strong tracks in the first three not counting the intro, but after that most of them kind of sound the same in particular stand by him, Satan prayer, and death kneel. Meliora is a well-produced album and has some good songs on it, but there are some tracks that while I like them I don't think are as great as what other people think on that album or I think other tracks on other albums are better than those. Those being he is Majesty absolution and Deus in absentia . I also think infestissumam has a better flow from beginning to end compared to the other albums with the exception of imperia
