Great to see you back again.,..loved this video. Looking forward to many more rankings in the future. I prefer the tier method you used on this video. Here's hoping that you'll rank the mighty Nile's albums sometime in the future.
Discovered this video and channel after seeing Immolation opening for Cannibal Corpse in Berlin last week. They were stunning, totally sui generis, sound like nobody else. Fell in love with this channel. I love your straightforward, no-frills delivery. Love the videos where you walk in nature and talk metal. It's very relaxing to watch. Discovered Napalm Death through this channel. I've always avoided hardcore, thinking that it's nothing more than an impenetrable wall of noise. Boy was I wrong. Lots of melody and amazing musicmanship. Anyhow, your channel has amazing potential, I wish you exponential growth.
Thanks very much and I'm really pleased you are enjoying the videos. Makes it all worthwhile. I intend on doing more videos about grindcore and hardcore bands in the future so I hope you get to discover even more bands. Thanks once again for the support 🤘
@@ThatMetalBloke well I'm half way through your playlist for the second time and I've listened to their two latest albums, safe to say I'm enjoying them.
Such an amazing band i hope i get to see them live at some point. Its a really hard task to rank the albums of a band when they are so consistently brilliant. Great video as always and exciting times ahead with Type O Negative and Incantation. Im looking forward to your Devin Townsend rankkngs im only really familiar with his Strapping Young Lad albums so that will be interesting for me to get some recommendations where else to go with his stuff.
Type O are a favourite of mine as is Devin. I won't be ranking any of the SYL stuff as that will be a separate video. There are 21 albums in his solo discography so I thought that was enough 😂
If I had to choose just one Immolation album to own, I wouldn't even blink: Stepping on Angels, a collection of their demos. Raw, filthy, rotten old school death metal, the way God intended. Possibly rivals with Nihilist-Entombed 87-89 compitalion, and Hypocrisy's Rest in Pain.
This is my favourite band and I absolutely love every single album. With that being said my ranking as of right now (which might change in 15 min) would be: 11. Shadows In The Light 10. Harnessing Ruin 9. Unholy Cult 8. Failures For Gods 7. Kingdom Of Conspiracy 6. Dawn Of Possesion 5. Acts Of God 4. Here In After 3. Atonement 2. Close To A World Below 1. Majesty And Decay
My top four is Close to a World Below, Unholy Cult, Majesty and Decay , and Failures for Gods. The production on Failures gives me '90s nostalgia and the songs are so good that I feel it surpasses the sonic shortcomings.
@@ThatMetalBloke Just finished, we have the same top 3 glad you gave Atonement it's due that record is unbelievably good, particularly from a band so late in their career.
Immolation fiercely helped to build up as well as redifining the death metal as much aesthetically as musically. It is almost impossible to talk about death metal without citing this band as a classic prominent name from the subgenre.Definitely,Immolation are a band with very extensively curriculum for long-time serving in extreme music in general.
@@ThatMetalBloke Thanks for replying!Undeniable Immolation make up that dorsal spine from North American death metal. They are builders from the parcel that pretty solid foundation to pave the way construction.
Hi Blоке. I fkng love Immolation. Greetings from Russia. My favourite album is Close To World Below, I've been listening to it for 17 years. Next I would put Here In After. In 3rd place is Failures For Gods, the drums on this record sound like cardboard boxes and I think it's unique. Majesty And Decay perfect album in the context of modern death metal.
Lots of great whiffs in this one mate. Mostly tuna mayo i think 😅 I like the idea of the Spotify play lists. Will be a good way to listen to the best picks if i don't have time to listen to all of the albums. 👍🤘
@@jonzaker8880 You're right, if you listen to the opening riff on 'nothing is not' from Morbid Angel's Formulas fatal to the flesh it's like Gojira made an entire career out of that riff lol. Great song and I'm glad it inspired them, I love Gojira!
Loved the first 3 then my interest waned . Strange I saw the atonement cover with the old logo n bought it knowing I'd love it . I'll revisit some of the middle ones one day
Dawn of possession is their best.none of the others hold a candle to this.that stupid, preacher like, james hetfield "eeahh" after every damn word or end of every sentence,sucks...
So happy you did this ☺️🤘 Really digg your channel

You're in luck. My Nile album ranking was the first video I did for this new channel as well as a review of their latest album 🤘

Do Incantation next!
Got a few other bands planned first but I will definitely get round to Incantation soon

I love Failures for God's. Just needed reasons to place them in the tiers so took any excuse I could 😂
I'm the first to watch it, love this band and thanks for doing this!
Was a lot of fun going through this discography 🤘

The playlists should help people as far as an introduction goes.
Gogira is heavily influenced by morbid angel
Makes sense
Check out the Godzilla stuff before the name change

Atonement is a beast of an album. Highly recommended
@@ThatMetalBloke it's awesome .. I need to dive into that middle period now .. thank you . Great video
Recently saw them open for Cannibal Corpse. INSANE BAND!!!
That is a great lineup 🤘
Their last 4 albums are honestly my all time favourites from the band 🤘
Great albums for sure 🤘
To be honest i only know and own 'Close to a world below' (shame on me), but that is a killer album.
It's an amazing album. Highly recommend Atonement as well as Majesty and Decay
@@ThatMetalBloke Thanks for the recommendation. I will check them out.
I actually think Shadows is better than everything they did after it. Very underrated.
First 5 are pretty much classics though.
Fair enough mate. I think all their albums are great in all honesty 🤘

Immolation is so crushing live 🤘🏻
Haven't seen them live myself but I can imagine they are a great live band
Definitely do so when you can

Great review, though I dont listen to the band

Do like opeth or enslaved?
I like both
