Hi Stunty, Congratulations and many thanks for the last 2 years - just thought you may appreciate this comment. I recently purchased the Eardrum record & the seller asked why there had been a recent run of sales for that record. I mentioned it could possibly have been down to the show and recommended him to give it a try. His response - " Wow - what a show! I listened to some of it live last night (listening to more now) and really liked a lot of what he played. Great vibe and nice community, chatting along with the excellent, random tune selections." A perfect summation of yourself and the community. Bravo, Sir! Take care Cliff.

When it comes to Umm Kulthum (Om Khalsoum) I think the records to get is the recording from her "Thursday concerts". She performed a concert on the first Thursday of every month for forty years. All of them were broadcast on Radio Cairo. The concerts used to broadcast from 9:30 PM on Thursday until the early morning hours on Friday. Concerts from the later year was released on Sono Cairo. Souma Records issued a re-press of a couple of them in 2019 that sounds good. Enta Omri is a great, highly recommened.

Hey Stunty. I’m so disappointed that I missed the show on Friday. My son was leaving for university on Saturday morning so my attention was required with him. But I missed a really special evening here. Been listening and appreciate your comments about music and politics. Very well said. And I couldn’t agree more. I really have enjoyed my conversation about music and politics with Mariusz. We truly have much more in common then politics. As you mentioned, Music is such a great vehicle to learn. I would only add that your stream has been so much more then just an enjoyable outlet for music. Of course, I’ve listened to a lot of amazing music because of you. And I’m forever grateful for that, Stunty. But it’s much more - because of your knowledge, experience and skill your stream has opened many of us to see the world differently. That is no small feat. And It’s not going to far to say, that you’ve made many of all us better humans as a result of your efforts. That’s not just talk but an honest statement that I’m sure many others in this little community would agree with. Congratulations on two years! I will catch up with you soon. Cheers! Shawn.

The Francis Bebey will come home to me at some point and the Lacy is legit good. I made a lowball offer on a copy but they didn't bite. But not too worried. Though something you played recently seriously struck me very hard, which I have pulled the trigger on. I'm caught up on the streams save yesterdays which I was pulled away from.

Happy Anniversary. Last week's key find in the wild: The Plastic People "Midnight Mouse" on Freedom Records, 1987. Also picked up a UK 12" Single of "Flowers of Romance" from PiL. Never had the LP, happy to have this. My order off Discogs from FR of Low Res"Blue Ramen" was delivered yesterday. Ordered a couple other LPs to minimize the shipping expense. Thanks for playing the dub techno tracks week before last - enjoyed that. Going to spin this LP a few times as I've run hot and cold on Plug Research - will make time this coming week to revisit that. What did you think of Dntel? Just curious... Lastly, finally made time to listen to the WRWTFWW (re-issue) of Interior '"Sculpture of Time" LP. If you haven't heard it, you should.

Brilliant video. Your Boards of Canada description is prefect - I really think post Boards vapor wave tried to create that nostalgia for nostalgia that never existed. Boards did it! I do think the sound and vibe of Breeders POD carries just ok rock songs - Last Splash nailed it. So glad you did this.

Would add Codeine's 'Frigid Stars' Mercury Rev 'Yourself Is Steam' 'Prison' by Steven Jessie Bernstein (Been searching for that for 30 years) Looads youve shown that I still havent found after last viewing this 3 years ago. Ive got a real soft spot for Gorky's Zykotic Mynci's 'Bwyd Time' thats impossible to find.

Nice stream, the things I enjoyed I *really* enjoyed: ordered the Yves Klein - Symphonie "Monoton-Silence” LP and have the Arianne Churchman, Benedict Drew saved for later. Happy accidents: last weekend I came hom with Manu Dibango 'Electric Africa' on Clluloid and Various Artists 'Perspectives and Distorion' on Cherry Red. Found both in my wantlist after the fact! Also, find a super clean copy of Aqsak Mabuol 'Un Peu De L'Âme Des Bandits' on Atem/Crammed. Very, very cool LP.

It was a pleasure to catch the stream live. Would like to make a point of telling you I am a fan of this format you chose to play an entire side of an LP or a few track of an EP. Picked up the Ingrid Sertso you played last week - enjoyed it very much. Had some luck this past weekend - a couple of early Fahey LPs and the first three from Robert Wyatt.

Hi Stunty, thanks for sharing your passion for Akendegué. I love it and have started exploring his discography. Just for info for the American listener who thought Akendegué said "prix de la liberté". The actual quote is "épris de liberté" meaning "in love with freedom" or "freedom lover".

I regret I've been unable to catch a stream live for the past many weeks. Professional obligations and Covid have kept me away or asleep. I've been catching the replays as time permits. Will share with you I did get the copy of Anthony Manning "Islets in Pink Polypropylene", the Watiaminute "Rhythm Combination & Brass" you showed on the OBC live stream some months ago, and a RE of Mezare Israel Yekabtzenu "The Jazz Workshop" Thomas B. played recently. Before I caugh Covid, locally I scored a copy of Derek Bailey "Domestic & Public Pieces" and Brötzmann "Nipples" - sat there ignored for the better part of a month before I gave in and bought it 😀Be well.

Musically, one of the best shows this year! Couldn't watch / listen live, sorry!
