- My fellow Swede is celebrating 10 years in the VC, and having a little contest. I hope he’ll find this entry fun and interesting.
Let me know in the comment section!
Still look for a og of E2-E4. Not easy to hunt down now a days! I took notes and added the others to the "to listen to pile". They sound really interesting especially that Eddy Louiss record!! Thanx so. much for doing this. Fingers crossed for the drawing!!!
Great update / entry. I love E2-E4 but still need that orig German. Loved that Alan Mac Williams comp on the Soleil label. But damn, I see that it's not very attainable. Another pricey Stunty pick that I have to find. Hope you are well.
Great entry for Jonas, some cool finds there. Cool organs by Eddy Louiss, great groove. Nice story of the officepick. Cheers and goodluck!
Really interesting records as always. We need people like you at times like this.
I'm not sure who "we" is, but I surely appreciate the sentiment ^^
Always interesting, thx Christian!
E2- E4 is DOPE! I have the reissue on MGArt. Nice showings as usual!
Just crazy coincidence I imagine but Mark Raap just showed that Electronic Mind Waves record Friday in our Facebook group. Always enjoy hearing stories about digs. E2-E4 is a brilliant LP. I have the MG Art reissue that sounds pretty good. Only ever seen one OG Permanent posted in LA but it was trashed and still 100 bucks lol. Good luck in the contest Stunty.
Not aware of that group. What is it? I'm not on FB... I think you will investigate Eddy Louiss soon enough ^^ Cheers
Some 'Stunty' type finds here. The bonus of Paris is it's such a gorgeous city that digging there is or was a pleasure whatever the outcome.
"Stunty type finds"? LOL, I hope I'm not alone in this ^^Paris really is difficult for digging.
@@StuntrockConfusion In an ideal world a new genre would be created called ''Stunties''! France I found tough for digging, lack of charity/thrift stores, flea markets and the odd fete type village sale were the few times I found a few rarities for cheap.
@@miketomlin6040 yes France is super competitive for record digging, more than in most other places I’ve been to
@@StuntrockConfusion I used to know a few dealers in Dordogne, Limousin, Tarn.....who owned shops back in the 70's/80's then moved stock to warehouses/sheds when vinyl shops closed down. But even then not cheap, but they had thousands of vinyls one could look through. Probably Internet sellers now? La Dame Blanche was the place I prioritised, less common classical/jazz but not cheap, even back in the vinyl is rubbish days. St Quen maybe was where I found a few 'Stunties' for 'bargain' prices. 1998 ish time. Big cities have more rarities, but the more serious diggers tend to be there as well!
Most of my records were bought at record stores.
Is that a choice, or the way things went? Do you set yourself rules about your collecting?
@@StuntrockConfusion No rules. I bought most of my records in the 70’s and 80’s. By early 90’s I was buying CDs. By the mid 90’s I stopped buying all music. I started buying CDs again about 6 or 7 years later. I started buying records again about 6 1/2 years ago. I would say now about 60% are online purchases. I know, more information than you asked for.
that must have been fun to find e2-e4 as a blind buy, love that record. been looking for a copy of elektriktus for a while, don't feel like paying 40 for the reissue either. just say it, the Louiss record is FUSIO....
Nope, the Louiss EP is synthetic funk!
@@StuntrockConfusion ha!
